I'm a Mino user, 7k MMR, and this is another reason why I hate tank emblem on Minotaur. If you're slow as shit, it's gonna be easy for you be 1v5'd by the opposing team.
Support emblem is way better
Drawback with the emblem is that you're obviously much squishier in the early game so you obviously have to be much smarter in your decision making. You also don't need to buy boots early since you're already fast enough; you can instead go straight into getting your first defensive item
Yeah ,the movement speed plus the added cooldown reduction works best for setting tanks like Mino.
Nah, tough boots is essential for me, mov speed from support is also too slow

Aside from removing his "ultimate in rage mode ONLY," his first skill already has a knock-up effect, which is highly spammable as compared to just in the ultimate as before, plus it is considerably better than a simple slow down cc effect of the first skill of Minotaur in the past.

Also notice in ECHO's gameplay, they like taking down roamers because the backline will be open, no one will provide vision or initiate a surprise attack. When Yawi use chou, he loves kicking roamers.
It depends though, there are instances where the EXP laner gets targeted especially heroes like Lapu (Kramm), YZ (Nathzz), etc. If a hero's zone mechanic or set up mechanic a threat to ECHO then that's a guaranteed Yaw'ay of the dragon. XD
That depends on the enemy lineup... If the enemy goes majority in dealing damage.... They would pick off the one that deals the most damage.... If the enemy goes for a hard tank+squishy damage dealer, they would usually pick off the squishy ones.... If the enemy goes for hard type lineup(tank jungler+mage support+sustain fighter), they would usually go for the hardest one and then bring down everyone one by one...

Depends on their call. That's why you ban Yawi's Chou. He can kick anyone and you can't really plan for/against it.
I think this is pretty common even in high elo, filling a tank role there is a no go. Even at early game they won't mind wasting resources on you if you're a bit out of position, as a tank.
Yup. Id say best counters to mino rn are kaja and franco. Suppress the ult or isolate him if he's out of position. Coordinated players can and will burst a full hp mino.
Blacklist knew the win condition. Great awareness and call by the captain.
It's not just because mino has no rage bar so he's meta (although it is the main reason) it's also the combination of his 2nd and 1st skills. Being able to alter the defence stats of allies and enemies like his second skill at max lv gives the same amount of Def as buying steel legplates
the problem why it didnt work vs echo is because echo is so much more aggresive , they are so coordinated , they will get the jump on u first before u can jump them . even if u catch yawi , sanford/karltzy will act as the body and bennyqt will clean as the enemy doesnt have resource anymore

tanks in this game is far more squishy than others, malefic roar is an example why tanks don’t get respected when they can just take tanks down in an instance
With Minotaur, you're not exactly supposed to go in the frontline at all times. You may soak up some damage just to minimize the damages taken by your teammates, but what makes him an effective tank is its spammable second skill HP regen. It's basically like having a Rafaela that could set better, can be more tanky, and doesn't require mana for skills, albeit with smaller HP regen capabilities.

Nothing special here. What they did here applies to ANY healer or tank roamer. Unless you're playing dmg roamer like selena or natalia, it's best to keep in mind that roamers only have value in clashes if they're with allies that could follow up. It doesn't matter if they're a healer or setter. So 2 things:
-If you catch the enemy roamer out of position where he has no allies that could follow up, it's fine to burst the roamer. That's what happened in 0:14 but *I think **0:30** shows this concept better. The reason why they waited so long to engage Mino is because they're seeing if someone else will follow up. If the mm or mage was doing the same thing that Mino did, they would have engaged instantly.*
-In 1:08, we could see that they're initiating a team fight but they prioritize the damage dealers and ignore Mino. In general, if there are allies around the roamer, the roamer is the lowest priority because that's not the hero who is threatening a wipeout on your team. The cc could be very annoying but it won't kill your team. *So in clashes, I think kill priority should generally be: mm>dmg jungle>mage>exp> tank jungle>roamer.*
Easy to counter because it's a weak team. Try that against Echo and we shall really see 😁
They're a strong team in their region but blacklist is just way stronger

This is pretty much how you counter a tank setter relying team like RSG PH or Echo. Kill their setter then they’re pretty much vulnerable

Echo's composition is multiple setter/ initiator heroes. They don't rely on 1 setter alone, they rather not use marksmen and opt for fighter gold lane than do a 1 setter reliant composition.
Recently, they are more on pickoffs than full-on team fights.
Blacklist will never be able to do this against echo. Im 99% sure echo will not hesitate to fight 4v5 if black waste resource on yawi. Sandford will come in for sure

Note that countering Minotaur requires a lot of factors. (1) Engaging into him should equate a full burst; otherwise if he survived there's a big potential for counter engage-which is the uttermost reason why he's being picked in this meta. (2) From what I am observing, Minotaur is being picked against a pickoff roamer like Kaja. Becaue once Kaja engages and failed, Mino will do the set and it will be game over. Take the ECHO Vs. FIMP [Game 2] for example. (3) So my assumption here is to fight paper to paper. Minotaur is a setter tank so pick a setter tank too like lolita. (4) ECHO had lost 2 games against Minotaur when using pickoff roamers [Kaja (ECHO Vs. FIMP Game 2) and Chou (ECHO Vs. Todak Game 2)].

The problem with that is Mino’s ult counters set tanks. For example he can just ult if he get ulted by any other tanks, and it is better for his team because it means they get at least the enemy roamer, but given the large radius of Mino’s ult, he also easily sets another enemy. In exchange for his ability to counter engage any pick off and set roamer, he can’t be played very aggressively and even with flicker we can easily see him coming.
In competition your solution is probably the best, taking advantage of the team’s ability to coordinate perfectly. The other solutions I’ve came up with may work too but don’t fit as well in the stun + burst meta in competition.
In ranked, I think you could try the Kaja pick off strategy and focus Minotaur, but the problem is generally you don’t want to pick off the roamer. However if would probably work very well if without both roamers your team dominates the 4v4 (for example if the enemy team has combos that depend only on Minotaur).
You could also try Diggie roam + back lane diver + set hero, ideally with the back lane diver able to burst multiple enemies quickly. For example, according to current me, I think the best combo would be Diggie + Karina (assassin build) + Grock. Karina’s only weaknesses when attacking are burst skills and stuns. However there are only few one shot mages that don’t rely on stuns to hit their combo, and there’s no mm that can burst Karina down on a 1v1 only using skills to deal damage. If she’s over farmed Diggie + Karina is basically unstoppable if the enemy’s roamer is Minotaur (the enemy has to stay relatively close to him in case he engages, otherwise his stuns would wear off before they can hit your allies).
Grock is also extremely good in the exp lane, and can set some enemies too and lower their hp (really helpful in case the enemy builds Athena Shield), creating the perfect timing for Diggie-boosted Karina to give the enemy team a shortcut to their base.
The biggest weakness of this specific composition however is if the enemies get a really strong early game jungler and midlaner (for example Jawhead and Lylia). In this case they might snowball if they manage to invade and get fed.
back in the days chou is the best counter of mino, once mino seen alone in lane or anywhere around the map he's pretty much dead because chou's way of the dragon direct towards his teammates = mino dead pretty sure
yeah but new mino has triple knock up. it's a gamble to pick mino when he's more reliable in counter engage than atlas
@@keithlazol6707 yup, you don't do pickoff on setter tank like mino atlas. Too risky in my opinion, the table may turn upside down. Playing pickoff hero like chou, you may focus to pickoff their mm, mage, or hyper assassin.

I usually use the healing spell on Minos because of how easily he gets melted. Though the late game heal with oracles is no joke
@J is for Julius no it doesn't. He also heals his team. One tap and almost a quarter of the hp gets restored. Combined with the heal spell, it goes back to full
I wouldn't say it is counter, it is bad draft because all thier dmg dealer are single target and no burst hero.
Lastly, thier coordination is simply bad. They know mino is alone by looking at map, no tank can survive in out of position no matter how tanky u re.

He got ss by lolita multiple times. Its funny he can't totally feel the slow. The new minotaur can be easily countered by kaja n franco compared before.. Build more defense item. Too squishy.
If i joined this competition using minotaur they got the wrong target. As i thought i already know thier move and will be always noisy and convinced my teammates to come close to join the fight, if we got caught no worries i have a revetalize at hand , cooldown reduction and crowd control reduction. Even if valentina tried to copy me it's a waste of ultimate. I can confirm that why they lose because fanny is a bad pick with minotaur my explanation is that even if fanny is at full health she would still recall to recover energy which is inefficient because you can't lose a teammate at a middle of a incoming teamfight.

I was troll picking Franco the other day against Mino and I was only using my ult whenever Mino tries to set up and it cancel his rage mode , their team had no initiator so i told my team to kill Mino as soon as i ult him. And we won eventually.

idk why pro players still buy oracle on heroes that use heal if you don't know oracle works it only increase the heal for "YOURSELF" not for your teammates that is why i dont buy oracle instead i buy defensive items when I'm using estes, rafaela, or mino
Yep if enemy team have mino we will always focus on killing it and even encourage our Franco roam to ult it if he gets nearby. He’s very squashy and will die quick. Better to ult mino and kill him instead of Franco ulting another hero and getting his suppression cancelled by Minos 1st skill.
Depends on meta hero but sometimes instead of picking meta better to pick counter heroes... Especially picking wanwan was useless

FIMP's tank uses is just low IQ. Doesn't know how to position and when to and not to engage. That's why it's easy for BL. BL won't be able to do this against Echo. Yawi is too smart and so much better than gay veenus.
FIMP defeated Echo on game two though with the Minotaur and Phoveus. So whatever floats your boat I guess.

mino is easiest tank to counter i think. even now he goes meta on msc, its just the passive skill only make him do good, another skill is same, nothing special. When moonton remove rage make him hard to spamming ult now.
Ez to counter? He has triple knockup if used correctly, a heal and a useful passive. Not to mention he is immune to CC while using ult unless you have suppress skill like Franco and Kaja. Mino is one tank that can easily counter set up tanks.
@@justapotato584 he just has 2 knock up now. He easily counter with many cc heroes. And cd ult is so long you know. Even you have 45% cdr, you need wait about 44-48 second to used it again. He more use for meta now because his passive can reduce hybrid defense when use atk skill, and add hybrid def when use skill 2. But they sarcifice rage for longer immune cc like before revamp.

How is mino even broken, his ult is very predictable like chou, very short range of skill 1 and the annoying thing I found about mino is his 2nd skill cause it heals him up pretty fast and others as well. It's like having a mini Estes 😅 but it's not meta come on, every time I found mino in enemy I know I will win this automatically .
He can counter back enemies set if he gets to ult right before they set up an ambush, providing him multiple chain cc if Mino teammates are close enough to assist him in teamfight, it can work as the purify spell and can cancel cc effects that you apply to him in the right timing, the only issue is that heroes like Franco who have surpression in their stun, can cancel him while in ult initial state, Mino would only be broken if he had instant ult cc, the rest is pretty much balanced.
