DIY BEADED WIRE ORNAMENT HANGERS, Kids Can Make Using Colored Craft Wire and Crystal Beads

    I designed these different colored wire hangers for the gourd ornaments I make. Using nylon tools prevents markings and scratches on the wire, but you can make due without. You'll need wire cutters, needle nosed pliers, and jaw pliers.
    For the hangers in this video, I use 15 gauge colored aluminum wire. For this size wire, you should find beads that have a 1.5mm hole in their center: I used 8mm glass crystal beads with 1.5mm center.

    will the soft wire hold ornaments and hold its shape

      Hi Amber! If you are trying to hang a heavier ornament, you can double strand the wire (as in cut two lengths of wire for each hangar instead of just one, and twist the wire together in places as per the directions). That being said, personally, I've never had trouble with the hangars holding shape (I've used them for resin, plastic, glass ball, gourd, and paper mache ornaments). Happy Holidays!
