It just feels like the range of most of his moves have been increased. He felt so small in Tekken 7.
He has now surpassed Baek.
Awesome gameplay and he does look very fun. Hwoarang was a potential main of mine since Tekken 3, but there were times that I wasn't crazy about using him. Tekken 5 was the last time I loved playing as Hwoarang, but I don't know, since then I've been kind of burnt out on Tekken somewhat. But it looks like they're doing some good stuff with characters this time around, even outside the Heat system, and that makes me excited. This is probably the most "arcadey"-looking Tekken I've seen to date, meaning that this is as stellar as when the full cabinet of Tekken Tag 1 first appeared in arcades and I was floored by how great it looked. I can't wait to play as him!
Oh my goodness thank you for uploading this i saw like 2 decent Hwo players all weekend and i was scared my mans was just beefing it from the other gameplay i was watching. This gives me great relief.

@@TheFlyingChungus he's saying 끝내주마 means i'll finish you. in the addition korean really don't use the words like "eat it". this is more like japanese expression.

The hitsparks in this game is insane. I'd love if there was a switch to turn off or on. Or maybe turn all hitsparks into the block hitspark which is pretty neat
There is a slider in the settings that can change the effects to low, medium or high. I believe I have it on high here.
It looks cheesy like an sf game.
great stuff! Try using black kite more often, I think that's the one tool he lacked in 7 that he has in 8, a strong mid homing low crushing entry tool

Me hoping hwoarangs tekken 7 drip is an unlockable option this outfit looks way too much like something baek would wear which is messing with my head. I'd also love to have his classic tkd outfit but then with a kim's pants physics and animation treatment on all the cloth.
At 00:47 you did hellsweep without being hit in between. That’s the move i can’t input
Umm it's not supposed to be a difficult move.. Maybe you are pressing the buttons too quickly? Try pressing them slowly one after the other. Also try pressing the next input when the previous input just about to physically hit the opponent
I got a feeling that D3,4 will be more annoying than this when the full version comes out.

Is he actually playable now for a new player? Or does he still have one of the largest movelists?
He still has a stacked move list but for a new player, you don't need to know all of his moves to be able to play him decently. Start by recognising the good moves and use them in matches. It will also be challenging early on to get used to the different stances. But with persistence, anyone can be good with him. His combo execution is still not as hard as some other characters

It's from the Tekken 7 update, it's not from the Next Gen normally the game will be released on PS4 as SF6

How are you so good dude , how long have you been playing , I just started tekken 7 and I don’t think there is a tutorial and I suck
I basically have been playing Tekken 7 casually throughout its lifespan. It's easy to be demotivated playing against people online early on since they are most likely more experienced than you. All of us have gone through that, it's normal. Just keep playing more to get used to your character and watch videos on youtube about learning the basics, like movement, blocking, punishing and maybe learn some easy combos along the way.

why nobody is mixing options with sweep? did he lost sweep combinations?
Ive been playing tekken since tekken 1 I think T7 was a huge letdown from graphics,music and it took fun combos away thay were possible in tekken 6/tag 2 this looks like a huge improvement the hits look powerful the visuals are beautiful and the music sounds really catchy
This looks like old tekken3/tag rhythm! Maybe I'll pick him up again
Is there a trick to doing the dash 4444 after f.4 b.3 so consistently? You seem to get the 4444 to connect every time.
The key is to do a very deep dash after the f4, b3 to get as close to the floating opponent as possible before executing the 4,4,4,4. Definitely need some practice to get used to the timing.
And I definitely don't get it to connect every time. This is an edited highlight reel so I removed most of the failed combo moments. Furthermore if i see that the match latency is >100ms or >2 delay frames, i would straight up skip this combo route as it is super inconsistent in laggy matches.
@@TheFlyingChungus Thanks, that will be very helpful. I’ll try it out again when the network test opens again on Friday. When there’s too much lag what combo do you use as a replacement?
@@SuntoryKick i would do f4, stance switch, 3, 4, u/f+4 (screw), dash, 3~4 (backlash). After the backlash i would usually do heat burst if I'm not in heat already or just dash, stance switch, f3, heat smash if i am. For wall carry, after the backlash, dash, 1, 2, 3, u/f+3+4
Why was no one doing jfsr? Is it not worth to do anymore?
I will try to showcase more of JFSR next time. It's still one of Hwoarang's best moves

I think you're forgetting how goofy Tekken 7 was on launch. Tekken 8 has balancing issues and heat is stupid but literally everything else is better. And it's a beta

This is more balanced and tamed. So yeah it makes sense to make him more balanced pace wise as well
