This was awesome!
They won the cup on my birthday. I witnessed the brawl in hockey town that year March 26 1997.
my god these were the times. I forgot how deadly we were. looking back i can say this is the beginning of a great time in hockey. from this day and for the next 12 years these were the bulls of basketball and the patriots of football. I LOVED #91 most of all if Federov was coming watch out
When the Wings penalty kill was really clicking, it felt like 5 on 5 play. They would spend almost as much time in the opponent's zone as theirs.
I miss hockey.😥 hockey was my life...I miss hockey so much🏒 and sadly moments after this celebration tragedy struck...why did it have to happen to us?
The State of Michigan, the whole day (Saturday), was electric in anticipation of winning the Cup. Everyone was confident the Wings would win later that night.
Red Army Line!!!!
Mickey Redmond finally talks serious for once
We were @ Disney World on vacation and went to one of those theme restaurants where a bunch of people are seated together, we are from Philly and get seated with a family from Detroit! Lol It was a fun night even though Flyers lost
Pretty good playing series I was going for the Red Wings Lindros was awesome
I remember watching this live as a kid/teen and I was so fuckin pumped. The only times my parents would let me stay up late, was to watch hockey.
Cool that Ted Lindsay was at the game
Que gran equipo !!
Saludos desde 🇲🇽
This Stanley Cup Final Series was a win win for me.
So many great memories. But it’s hard watching this knowing what happens to Vlady less than a week after the game.
Didn't realize Paul Coffey played for the Flyers. Now he's a coach for the Oilers.
Великая команда, великий капитан, виликая Русская пятёрка!
I used to love it when the Wings would get heated up on Shots on goal one after another like a well oiled machine revving up...best hockey team there ever will be in history, and I saw it live at the Joe!!
A great return of the cup!
Was so happy for Yzerman i cried all the years and finally lord stanley in his arms
What's the goal song they play after the horn called?
What is that song being played when the wings get a power play?
I believe you're speaking of the song: Hit the Road Jack, by Ray Charles. The remake by The Throttles wasn't done until 2017. Hope this answers you're question since it plays at the beginning of most home game powerplays.
Филадельфия- настоящие мужчины, после проигрыша вышли и поздравили крыльев, очень хорошая команда была.
дааа..тот Детройт остановить было нереально👍
Отстойно играли. Возня возня возня. дерьмо.
Any way to get more Red Wing complete games from 1996-1997-1998, 2001-2004? Thanks.
Just crack a beer and scroll ahead to the 1:04:00 point. Enjoy
That pretty much was the nail in Philly’s coffin when he scored that goal.
Wow i remember running around the living room .. I do feel bad for Lindros he was dominating and surely may have won a cup in that era until Stevens laid into him
As a huge Pittsburgh penguins fan no complaints about this series at all
lol
I WAS WORKING THAT NIGHT AT THE JOE!..GOOD TIMES
That McCarty goal. 1:04:40
RIP Dale Hawerchuk.
Anyone have Game 1 in english ?
2020 and Niinimaa still hasn't forgotten. #neverforget #LordStanely #DMac #RedWings
At 8:56 does anyone have that joe Louis organ clip name
I (NJ DEVILS FAN) remember watching this game at a steak house in Southern NJ (flyers country). it was sooooo good to not see them win.
I remember watching this and thinking that Lindros didn't deserve it, especially after scoring and still looking defeated. He should have pumped that team to the moon to try and tie it, but he'd already lost.
We will return to glory, in Stevie we trust
1:07:08 savage sign by the wings fan
Hextall for map lmao poor guy he never could catch a break.
@@anmcrypto9281 He did win the Conn Smyth trophy in 1987
