I think this is the best video of Finish Lapland marketing-wise made by foreigner I've ever seen. Nice job! And I'm happy to see you genuinely enjoyed your stay here.
🇺🇦❤️🇫🇮 I am from Ukraine, but I now live in Finland with a child since we have a war.😢 I want to thank the Finns for their support of Ukraine and for their hospitality! It's a wonderful country with good people. ❤ ❤❤ But still, I miss my homeland, Ukraine, where my heart and soul remain. Therefore, I wish each of you a peaceful sky above your head and that your life is wonderful, wherever you are. ❤
We're happy to help people in need. What the cccp did to Finland and now to Ukraine, unites us and makes us more determened to work against the evil that for so many centuries has been living in Russia. I hope your stay in Finland will be as pleasant as possible but at the same time I understand and respect that the love for one's own home country will never die.
Hope you enjoyed & you’re super lucky to watched the aurora borealis 👍🏻👏🏻Visited just before the covid,Finland’s an amazing country💪🏻happiness is a choice🤞🏻🙏🏻😊
The northern lights are a marvelous and mystical sight to behold, even for a modern human to whom science has explained pretty much every phenomena. When I see them I always imagine the rush a person had watching them a 1000 years ago. In finnish mythology it is the work of a Tulikettu(firefox) it’s tail striking magical sparks, embers and fire as it runs along the fells creating the lightshow. When rubbing the hide of a firefox the right way it would emit a magical light and stories tell that the hides or leathers were used as lights in gunpowder cellars instead of a dangerous flame. Which makes me think of how wild it is how long we fought against the church and christianity, even in gunpowder era alot of finns still worshipped the old gods.
Been watching your videos for quite sometimes but this one really hit me. The music, the dialogues and everything just pieces up nicely and really have this sense of touch to my heart. Especially for the "Never give up". 👍🏻
Another one for my bucketlist. Thanks Shawn! Your videos as always, beautiful 👌. I watch your Mongolia videos and with that i’m inspired, next month i’m visiting it. Maybe next is Finland 😆
I think Finalnd is an even more beautiful place in the summer. As a Finn, I love our summer, but kinda hate the winter time because of the dark, cold, and slushy weather. Singapore has about 28 celsius all over the year weather at least what I've heard. I have always wanted to visit your country, and I'm actually going there in March 2025. Would you like to recommend some "must visit" places in Singapore?
Thanks for sharing your perspective. Totally get it. March was a great time as there was a lot more sunlight and clear skies. Our weather can range from 25c to 34c, which can get unbearably humid and hot. The ‘must’ sees would include Jewel at Changi Airport, Gardens by the Bay, and the Marina Bay Sands area
Wow, Shawne! This is a beautifully shot video that captures the magic of Pyhä and Finnish Lapland really well! ❤✨ Our entire Sunday Morning Resort team watched it together and we couldn't be happier to see your joy during your activities, especially with the northern lights! 🌌 Thank you for sharing your experience with us and staying with us. We really appreciate the message you are promoting, and it was a pleasure to have the whole group here. We enjoyed seeing part 2 of your stay at Pyhä too 😄 Hopefully, we will be able to welcome you back someday in Pyhätunturi! With sunny spring greetings from the Finnish Lapland / Sunday Morning Resort’s team ❤☀
Aw man :’) thank you so much for providing us with such an unfortgettable Finnish experience and AMAZING food every single day. We were so nourished. We’re missing all the good times and I can’t wait be back someday too!
Beautifully shot video with great vibes all around! Those shots of the aurora at the end were insane! I'm Finnish and in my 30s and don't actually ever remember witnessing the northern lights here, tho I do live in the south in Helsinki where they are way rarer and not so visible even if they do occur. I've only been to Lapland once for a hike in the far north, but you got me wanting to go again!
Hi everyones 👋🙂🌞😉 I like so much your video fully of joy, hapiness and so much, laugh. I understood well, the great time spent in your holidays. That was famous. Continue in this way. Peace and love ☮️🙏
Nice video northern lightsssssssssssss ❤🥰😍 happiness is authenthicity; no textbooks for lifeeee 🎉 but isn’t it tough to have reindeer soup & meat after playing with them omgggggg😢
i am from Finland and the media keeps saying we are the happiest place well its not really true. every country have there own problems so do we. we do have alot of good things here and its really safe to live here if you take a example from other places. some are happy but it totally deepens on who you talking with personally i am not really happy due to personal struggles, if you want happiness find it its not about where you live
Now the big challenge is to make Singapore more happier place? Nature is the key. If u don't understand and respect the nature, u can't respect urself. That's my opinion as a Finn. Great video btw!!!
The one thing we don’t have here is space, and vast empty nature. I do agree that being able to appreciate nature helps one to be more content with life
I'm really starting to think the happiness copium comes only from lapland. Come to oulu which is about in the center of contry and there we have the real urban never ending finland down to hanko
Our local finnish mainstream news are feeding us with force this "finland is happiest on earth" chanting, it is likely based on stories about tourism in lapland and has nothing to do with regular citizens' life
No you did not. Happiness isn't a nature or fluffy snow or reindeer rides. Finland stands for trust, safety, peaceful living and harmony in life which revolves around simple values --> happines.
3 weeks since coming back from the trip and watching this brings me so much memories. thanks for immortalising the wonderful time spent on this video and using your gift to inspire everyone Shawne!
Hello from Finland! I blame the weird RUclips algorithms on ending up starting to watch this. I enjoyed your video, nice work! I was born and raised in Kemijärvi, about 50 km away from Pyhätunturi, the location you were at on this video. It is an awesome place, a resort mostly focused on downhill skiing. But there's so much more, it's a very unique place. I'm very happy for you of finding these great experiences. Everything else of those are very familiar to me, but I have never had a trip in a husky sledge. We practically always travel the nature with a snowmobile or by cross country skiing... But the consept of Finnish happiness, I belive it comes from the society the people of Finland have built. Of equality, of supporting one another, of constructing a life that enables happiness for you, but also worrying about the happiness of others. We all haven't got the abilities needed to gain wealth in life. But if the ones that do have those abilities, can support the others that maybe do not; then we all can be in a happier place. Personal wealth and idea of getting more of it must not be the determining factor.
Thanks for sharing your perspective :) it’s a beautiful concept that more should embody. In my next video, I’d be exploring more of Pyha which was really amazing
I definitely recommend visiting Finland also summertime. Especially cities surrounded by lakes. During good weather, Finnish summer is a heaven on earth. Only downside is that it can be a very short one with bad weather. 😅
great video, i like it. i live in northern Finland and it is not all happy and satisfaction, lots of days are hard. but for everyday or day or two you find something to be happy for, and i am a damn happy fellow.

It always makes an impression even on me as a Finn living in southern Finland (we have tykkylumi conditions here down south at Tampere too but not every year).
If you have all your basic *_needs_* met, consider yourself very lucky. And by needs I mean food to eat, home to live in, family and friend(s) around you. That's it. There's literally nothing else you really need. Everything else is an extra, a bonus.
Nice to see so many happy people. I think not all of the happiness comes from visiting Finland. These guys must have happiness already inside themselves. I visited Singapore two times in the 1980's and consider it very beautiful and happy place too.

Excellent video, but I want to point out how you pronounced "Pyhä" like "Puha" u and a are backvowels and y and ä are frontvowels. To correctly pronounce y and ä, all you need to do is to pronounce u and a at the front of your mouth!
the big citys and highly populated areas in finland are still in my opinion highly boring and sad a miserable places but its allways more freedom feeling in the north thats why so many leave helsinki to oulu or somethink to find silence and freedom. propably one of the best places to visit on this video.

Beautiful video and the atmosphere was so calming and heeling. I got inspired even as a Finn. Kiitos!

Reason why Finland is considered happiest place is the lack of super unhappy people.
I guess ‘happiness’ is the wrong word to use for this. Maybe contented is the word
Very nice video. Good mix of content and film making
Now the big challenge is to make Singapore more happier place? Nature is the key. If u don't understand and respect the nature, u can't respect urself. That's my opinion as a Finn. Great video btw!!!

Happines in finland is get drunk whole week when is summer week.
Go to a country house, go to sauna and jump into a lake. There's nothing better.
I live in finland.🙂
perfectly pronounced sauna✌

Obligatory all the sad people end up killing themselves. And that is the real secret to happines.

There a lot of variables. But ultimately it has to come from within
Hence you keep homogenous high trust societies
