I Grew Up Hearing My Dad..Uncles..Friends Of The Family....Playing This Man’s Music As A Little Girl!!..I Tell You..Al Green Is On My Playlist!!!
One of the best voices in history
And that's an understatement 🙏🏾
Al knows he's a cool cat. The brotha is soulful,I love how he hit those notes on I'm gonna wait till the midnight hour and then laugh. Hahahaha, that was beautiful. The soulful great Mr.Al Green.
I always get a flush of goosebumps when I hear his voice!
You can always catch him when he does Sunday Service in Memphis TN. As someone who has loved Al and most Stax artists, to see Rev Al preach and sing is a treat!
He was on the show because he was tired of being alone
😁Good One...you know...he's all about..."Let's stay together"😃🤦♀️😉
I never get tired of hearing his music he definitely sings with the most feeling
Al Green rarely gives interviews. He just did one on NPR 6/2022. Very interesting story.

Oh my God, he barely sings 2 seconds of a classic song, and instantly trips off the light fantastic.
Al Green is truly that "one in a million" voice for the ages.

THE GREATEST SOUL SINGER EVER CASE CLOSED
Ain’t no way Al Green is 77 years old. He doesn’t look a day over 65ish. He still has that Arkansas twang when he talks.
This interview is from 2010.
That’s why he looks younger.
That smile! Wow!
He got his own entrance theme song! Lol
Sui generis!
Have adored g is talent throughout the years! Would love to go to Memphis and visit his church!
I’ve been to Memphis a few times, too bad I didn’t know then he had a church there. When I was there I went to the hotel where Dr King was assassinated.
Al Green is an amazing Singer I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet him in person at BAFB on Black History Month year 1981 it was Amazing to shake hands with him and get a autograph such a blessing.

I grew up listening to this amazing man AlGreen. My dad always played Al green songs. I started listening to his songs and fell in love with AlGreen music. Every time I get into my vehicle. I put in Al green CD . Just riding along in my escape, listening to his songs. Love me some Al green . Rip my favorite singer.

This was over a decade ago.. 60s.
@@chancebrown106 thanks
I think he was getting tired of being a preacher and still had that longing to perform his songs. He will never not have an audience that's for sure!
Big inspiration
4:20 Unexpected David Gilmour!!
who gave that guy a talk show.... get him speech therapy ...
Love his songs but wouldn't leave my children alone with him 😮
4:20-4:22 look at this celebrity audience
He rationalized in his head how to assimilate back into the world. When God told him to come out from among them.
