I've read below a few negative comments about draining our Social System and not contributing tax. Let's remember when our parents and grandparents migrated from HK in the 70's and 80's, they too benefited and not contributed to NI or Tax, yet we received Child, Social, Housing and other benefits. This new wave of HK migrants are contributing to the system while they are working and yet they don't have the full Benefits that we enjoy. Let's also remember with an aging population, it will be their children that are supporting us when we're of retirement age!. I do agree your title can be misleading and don't blame you as a content creator for generating clicks.

NHS is already on its knees. Cost of living crisis is affecting every citizens in the UK, council tax is already increased. Very selfish when you are asking for a translator while it should be your responsibility to learn how to speak the language yourself when you move to a different country. Or at least asking your family members to help to translate. It cost the NHS extra money and the doctors extra time to get a translator. These are costing the hard working tax payers extra money to fund your already free health care, free prescriptions- some have multiple existing co-morbidities needing many free medications and many hospital specialists input. When they have not pay a single penny of NI or income tax or contribute to the society. It appears their objective is to drain the resources and not providing any contribution.

You should segregate those only related to BC and PR holders and not entitled for BNO visa holders. It would be misleading for intended retirees or retired seniors from HK who would think that they would get those benefits.

Indeed, the UK Government must truly & realistically clarify these facts, otherwise the born or living here for many decades' BCs would be very upset about such arrangements of inequality! Prescription is free for those 60+). She suggested that UK govt has many support to those who need home care, and briefly mentioned the means test (Do people know this will be even tougher when they retire?), and went on to show the floor plan of a single room in a Residential care unit! BNO簽証是過客，等同學生簽証或工作簽証，沒有居民身份residentship或公民身份citizenship ，英國政府憑那條例可给予BNO港人或家屬，拿取同等英國公民和英國居民的福利呢？這是首5年港人住英簽証的條件限制，請詳細翻閱gov.uk 的BNO簽証各項說明。英政府有提供小許優惠，给任何長者當入境後便可以享用，這不止是香港人。同意所指城市暫時60歲有免費乘車，但其餘英倫各地区，均指定65歲才享有這優惠， 至於睇醫生或 NHS service 會否憂先安排長者，这有問題？本人也是英國長者，未有享受此特权，冠疫後一切醫療服務倒退兼渾賬！还有冬天長者燃料費支助，及入住老人院....等類福利，需要甚麼申請資格及给予金額等..., 請閣下親自向有關當局或机構先了解過，有責任去介紹一切福利資料给港人，免誤導！這些資料最好以英政府官方網公佈作準。

現在香港老人會北上消費,疫情消失,通關,尤其是蓮塘口岸(新關口),老人2元巴士直去口岸,內地地鐵免費,深圳地鐵站有3百多個,個個有特色,高級食市林立,價錢只是香港三分之一,什麼京菜,川菜,粵菜,順德菜,客家菜,潮州菜,回菜,浙江菜,應有盡有,吃喝玩樂須要幾年才能玩盡,每天北上的老人多的是,消費港幣一百元已經很富足,常常按摩減壓,照世界評審,中國人感覺最幸福。
如此辛苦過兩個關，來回四個關，唔理你老人細路，行都行餐死！還要手機申報健康狀況，幸福？？留椑你慢慢幸福

福利不是每個人可以拿到，每個人情況不同。除非乎合政府要求，否則一D申請福利細節，申請人最好自行核實申請限制I。舉例申請人積儲不能夠過£7000/£8000已經不能🈸請多種福利.，還有退休年齡又不斷傳出會提高，所以要去尋答案。即使真正成為英國居民要取得全數每月金額就一定要有做夠三十五年工和有交NI Tax.

我未到 nhs 就出左 短訊叫我去打針，打完仲叫我去約期做 body check，搞到我自己都尷尬，但 body check 只不過你問你一堆問題，之後抽2支血，但成個個程差不多用左30分鐘，其實冇需要真係唔駛去做 body check。

首先, 為以上优惠而有意移民者應考慮，若移民後、要等多久及條件、才可以同等受用這些長者福利、若果要等很多年、那這個長者福利、各種應會大打折扣或取消。社會的福利視乎社會的盈利及民衆的貢獻, 新移民沒有貢獻應沒有資格......另一重要因素, 英國社會經濟正走下坡、目前未見底、後市如何不知。以大英帝國衰落週期估, 它最少仍有5年以上的衰退、英國政府到時不破產己是萬幸了。

關於老人院，想攞政府資助，真係難過登天！要扣除自己的儲蓄，物業，真係榨乾榨淨，冇晒錢，政府先考慮你的申請，你戶口一日仲有錢，都要自己比晒先，冇錢可以將層樓按比老人院，死後層樓就歸老人院！唔好成日強調英國係好福利國家，羊毛出在羊身上！錢唔係天跌落黎！香港咁低稅，老人家都可以攞港幣二千幾一個月，仲有醫療券，算係咁！英國state pension 要攞足full pay，起碼工作四十年先有呢個數，以你年齡，要八十歲先攞足，not one size fit all! 都係個句，唔好識少少，又扮代表！誤導人，以為英國係退休天堂！

要交35年NI先可以在67岁退休后每周得185英磅退休金，不太好。交不足十年NI就无退休金。

多謝補充！視乎地區，如果係倫敦、威爾斯同蘇格蘭滿60歲就可以免費搭巴士，其他地區好似都係65歲
This is only they citizen paid tax during their working life
Income tax when you work. Council tax where you live
Good tax when you buy .import tax. Selling tax. Vat on goods resale. Etc also tax +profit..on water ,electric etc etc. It work out a large portion of working man income had been taken away by profitican. Only a small amount return back to the citizen when they on old age
You should segregate those only related to BC and PR holders and not entitled for BNO visa holders. It would be misleading for intended retirees or retired seniors from HK who would think that they would get those benefits.
I have mentioned in the opening 1:16 that all financial supports by government is not available to BNO visa holders

Indeed, the UK Government must truly & realistically clarify these facts, otherwise the born or living here for many decades' BCs would be very upset about such arrangements of inequality! For the majority of BCs had/have to contribute for 35 years of NI/TAX/PENSION to the BR Government's revenue coffers, to benefit all the resultant/eventual eligibility payment of state & public benefits like pensions, free education, NHS free medical services, unemployment and supportive/free housing benefits, together with many other public benefits of public transports and discounted prices on many public leisures & entertain- ments! In today's farce ECONOMICALLY competitive world, how can any country able to afford any new comer to to his/her country to benefit any state social benefits when they have never made a single penny towards their contribution especially UK is and has never been a wealthy country! Sure, if the RIGHTFUL local citizens of UK learn about such unbalanced & unfair equality, they would feel bitter & resentful about such social benefiting arrangements!!!
The last CONSERVATIVE Priminister gave the Hong Kong BNO people CLARENCE to come to UK with his great promises of the above said social benefits but he must have forgotten about his legitimate😮 citizens contributing their above said past hard earned moneies and that "FREE FOR ALL STATE BENEFITS TO THOSE ELDERS WHO TOGETHER WITH THEIR INFANT/TEENAGED GRANDCHILDREN, WHOSE PARENTS TOGETHER WITH THEMSLVES HAVE NOT MADE A SINGLE PENNY ON NI/TAX/PENSION CONTRIBUTIONS, SHOULD/COULD STAKE THEIR CLAIMS IN THEIR RECEMTLY HAVING JUST ARRIVED IN UK THE LAST 2 - 3 YEARS???!!!

There are many generic comments such as "等待時間分分鐘比香港公立醫院快好多" (this is such a subjective comment), "滿60歲NHS所有醫療服務免費，包括做手術，門診診症，專科" (I thought NHS services are free for people of all age? Prescription is free for those 60+). She suggested that UK govt has many support to those who need home care, and briefly mentioned the means test (Do people know this will be even tougher when they retire?), and went on to show the floor plan of a single room in a Residential care unit! What a joke. So obvious!!

你嘅伴侶可以繼承共同繳交嘅金額，但都要視乎係咪到達退休年齡

請問並指教一下，我母親已68歲了剛退休兩年多，並打算明年獨立申請 bno visa 來英定居，不過這年紀長者還可享用到什麼福利嗎？倘若她仍想有機找part time job 有些什麼輕鬆的工種做吓？與洋人溝通及書寫講 都沒問題，只不懂電腦操作。

咁其實同香港差唔多咋喎？香港老人家睇政府醫生同坐車有優惠，澳門的福利仲好，唔使做35年就同英國攞的退休金差唔多。英國要做35年先可以取100% pension , 條件好苛刻😢 仲要得185磅/week ？要夠窮先可以有資助入老人院，老人家冇$真係都搞唔掂。
