    These World Peacekeepers/Porto Play items have always been great companion pieces for a Joe collection particularly if you like more realistic vehicles.I would love for them to re-release the AMB Armored Combat Vehicle again but this time In more contemporary military colors.

    Informative and fun review as always..out of all the vehicles on the back of the box I'd have to say the copters and the buggy seem the most promising. It's quite a shame about the cheapening out of the figure compartments beneath the hatches..at the very least, the driver section really deserves to accommodate fully seated figures. You described why I love the Warthog perfectly..the figure capacity opens up lots of play potential. This is something true ARAH vehicles never really falter at.

    For what it's worth, Russian designed IFVs that aren't BMPs are notoriously low on infantry space once they have an autocannon up top (Not to mention armor known to fail against .50 cal and 12.7mm AP rounds). But then again those manholes are the last place I'd wanna be when that thing fires a 12 round burst

    Yeah, those flaws are frustratingly glaring for such an amazing piece of rolling armor. I started work on making the interior more functional on one of mine. I swear - that rear door was going to be functional at some stage of development, because those hinges are separate parts. Right now it sits alongside my major “to do” pile

    • @gijoburg
      @gijoburg  2 года назад +2

      Woah! So they ARE separate parts?! Ah man, what an annoyance. I’ll bet whoever designed the toy had their vision constrained bigtime by the budget. The intention was for this thing to do it all.

    • @dustinkordish
      @dustinkordish 2 года назад +1

      @@gijoburg - I may have been misremembering; the door - like the top radiators - are separate pieces glued VERY tightly to the the hull. But you can see very clearly that those connecting parts at the hinge are separate. When I cut them out it took a while because it was glued at every point. Would have been a lot nicer and easier if they wouldn’t have been so liberal with whatever bonding agent they used

    I bought one of these years ago. They were only $20 back then. I miss how cheap everything was back then. I don't know if I'd buy another one today for that price. I always used mine to carry various Cobra soldiers. My Bravo Team Bradly was my modern GI Joe's mainstay IFV.

    • @Sturmdude

      @@gijoburg Good luck my friend. Bravo Team was a brand back in the day that was a Target exclusive brand. In the early 2010s and late 00s they had WWII and Modern vehicles and figures in the GI Joe scale. I remember the Sherman tank was only $20! I got it the same day I got a dvd box set that included a figure of Dusty. It was a good day. I think the Bradley costed a little more back then. It'll be hard to find one in good shape these days, but might be worth it. They made one in a desert tan an one in a woodland camo. I got the desert one. Once again good luck!

What would you think of a Big budget Hollywood GI JOE movie but using the toys .. no live action. All done using the toys. much like the Thunderbolts only not cheesy.. done with a serious tone..

      It’s regional and seasonal in my experience. Out here in Australia they’re clogging toy shelves to the point that the prices have been reduced by 30%; and now down to 50% off. They’re produced in Hong Kong and it’s a short throw from there to here. So I guess big Aussie toy stores buy them in very large quantities in the ramp up to the festive season and try to shell them off for the rest of the year. I wouldn’t be able to speak for the rest of the world but I’ve found them in abundance in China and South Africa, my stomping grounds.

    Whats funny is while sure, the Havoc is scrawny in all aspects, including main hull detail, and a bit tighter construction, but it does what even the IFV Cant do, hold a ton of figures, and even has an accessory vehicle on top of it. There should be no excuse for the back hatch not opening up to a full cargo bay, as well as seats in the front of this thing. Its like they spent there entire engineering budget on the toy designing the outside. I would love to buy one, but 30 dollars for something I cant even use as GI Joe Figure storage is kinda sad.
