Imagine you're an attendant, or working room service at a fancy 5-star French lodge, your establishment's rates are unaffordable to most, every suite is the size of 5 NYC studio apartments combined, you have enough beds to fit a whole tribe, you give 5-star service and even give complimentary pastries as a welcoming gift. The next morning you come in to clear out the snow on the balcony and you find that someone's pissed into it instead of using their 3 bathrooms.

Random as fuck, I'm sure, but from working with dogs for years now, Saint Bernards and Labs are both very good-natured breeds. What you guys saw wasn't really aggression on behalf of the Saint Bernard, just a correction. Lab puppies are very happy, excitable little things and tend to annoy older dogs, kind of the way a young child would constantly pester an adult for attention. The Saint Bernard wasn't angry or aggressive, he was just saying "hey, you're being loud, this is a quiet place and I don't want to play with you." When the Saint Bernard first greets the puppy, his ruff is only up slightly and his tail is raised, which was his first warning to the puppy "hey, this is my place so listen." When the puppy did that little roll-over, he was saying "yes, this is your place but I love it and there are people here please let me stay." The Saint Bernard likely wouldn't have gone any further than just barking and putting the pup on its back; this is just how puppies learn. Afterward, the puppy is turning to the side and wagging with his head down, which is an apology and appeasement.
