@Jon Gill Yep - that is correct - according to record and ancient text - all the Arab nations are from the bloodline of the firstborn child of Abraham - Ishmael - to whom God told would be the father of a great nation. And for their own rules - NOT God's rules but by the Hebrew rules - "the firstborn son shall inherit that of the father." But then God's rule tells us that we shalt not covet. Ezekiel 38 & 39 are in reverse order. Both of these battles are a 1,000 years apart. 39 is Rev 19 Armageddon. 38 is at the end of the Millennium. But most of us have different views

These imporant verses in Ezekiel 38 are not in existance today:
"You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’- to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land."

It's not Armageddon because there are 7 years of burning weapons afterwards. It could be before the Tribulation or near the start of the Tribulation - Armageddon is near the end of the Tribulation.

You're right, Derek, this Gog and Magog is separate from Armaggedon and after The Millennium. The evidence is in the one who summons. For Ezekiel 38 it is God Himself who drags Gog to the conflict. For Armaggedon it is the three unclean spirits from the beast, the false prophet and satan and for the Gog and Magog after the Millennium it is satan who gathers the armies.
Is it possible instead of West Bank it Golan? Both areas seem to be mountainous, but Golan is more peaceful.

Well explained. But Daniel 9:27 is fulfilled exactly by the Messiah to very letter and timing of that porophecy. In the original Hebrew text of Daniel 9:27, the phrase "he shall confirm the covenant" expressed the idea of a confirming (enforcing or put into effect) a covenant already established and granted. The phrase is referring to the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-33 see also

The subject of Daniel's 70 weeks prophecy are Daniel's people, the holy city of Jerusalem, and the Messiah. How come the subject of the last verse became a furure antichrist? The timespan between chapter 9 and 10 are years, and the antichrist is not even the subject of chapoter 10. Except... those people presently occupying Israel today... most of them are not Abraham's bloodline. There is nothing Semitic about them. They are Khazars from the Volga River Valley territory in eastern Europe. They converted to Judaism to dodge the Crusades. So they represented themselves as neutrals to both the Crusaders and the armies of the Caliph. It is now, post Hitler, that they decided they were the rightful inheritors of that land. It is not their land, so there is no covenant with them.

actually, i think it is simply because there is no time - because God Himself steps in and judges the invaders. Thus v13 is not necessarily a criticism of Tarshish and her young lions (UK, USA etc), but it could be a compliment that they are on the right side.

I feel bad for the Israelites but Christ will be coming back soon after the tribulation. we need to put our sin down so we dont lose our salvation and listen and follow Christ with all our minds, hearts and soul. The tribulation is just around the corner.
