I have my regen bible on the shelf ready for when we buy our land which will be in a matter of weeks. At nearly 50 it’s better late than never, we will go slow and adapt to our capabilities and along the way we will create a legacy for our family and teach our kids and grandkids life skills. Thank you for all your time and knowledge as you have given us the confidence to make the move.

Such a travesty that ridiculous policies force business like yours worldwide into such exhausting acrobatics to stay afloat, but so thankful the Lord provided a path of provision through your books. Hailing from the Texas panhandle, and I plan to order your book at some point soon. Obviously, much different climate for us, but I absolutely adore what you share and I am able to integrate some into our growing homestead. You and your farm are a treasure, thank you! We started with reading Salatin in about 2009 and love seeing similar work across the globe.
I absolutely LOVE your farm walk abouts and seeing how the many of the less visited parts of your farm are developing. The tree growth out there has been amazing! One thing I envy is how you can free range all your various critters with simple movable electric netting and your crops are relatively unfenced. Here where we are we have mountain lions, bob cats and black bears, and there are loads of deer, elk, voles & rabbits, a wide variety of birds, etc. The mountain lions especially can easily leap over electric wires and fences to take out chickens, sheep and even a cow, and the grazers are eager, willing and able to destroy trees and vegetables year round. Sooooo, we're going to have to put some work into fencing certain areas more rigorously against the wildlife (both above and below ground) in addition to using the electric fencing to control the time spent by our critters on each specific paddock, not to mention keeping all the hungry wildlife and birds off our fruits and veggies! Nets over trees and berries as things get closer to ripening should give us a chance of taking what we want/need before opening them up for the wildlife to clean up and enjoy. But it seems like a LOT more work (and money for fencing) than the more open feel of your farm.
Wonderful that you and your family are carving out a lot more time now for enjoying each other vrs constantly working, working, working! There are so many who are eager to learn/apprentice with you for a season or more to really master the skills they need to start their own successful farms, especially for a salary, and the more you have them really take on the job and accountability the more masterful they become. WHICH then allows you to have them run things on their own so you and your family to get away together whilst the farm continues to run. A complete win all around. Your children are going to have a ball having you all to themselves for a bit. Well earned. Have a great time!

Days away from closing on our new adventure. Only 10.7 acres but we are planning on lots of diversity, like you have. I have been watching you since just after you landed at Ridgedale. You have been one of the greatest inspiration to me, next to the likes of Joel Salatin and others. Next year when those black locust trees are in full bloom, snip off the flower clusters and dip them in pancake batter and fry them up. In addition to awesome pancakes and great fence posts they make great honey, are great firewood that burns hot, nitrogen fixing and regrow like crazy when you cut them down. Truely a multi purpose plant that is a must for the farm. Enjoy the baby's because they grow up way too fast. Thank you and God Bless.

What do you do keep your Lohmann inside the fence? Mine do periodically run aways and I simply can't figure out why. Fence is tight, electricity on full power, they have food and water. Did I miss something?

It's Ildi there have been a few batches of seeds in recent years that must have been cross pollinated or mixed up as last year I ended up with something more akin to a red cherry tom when I used bought seeds.

Hmmm, I live in Oregon and the book was delivered to me...oh, but that was the soft cover. Well maybe they only sell the soft cover overseas?
As far as I'm aware, there is only the soft cover copy of Regen Ag. The previous book How to make small farns work. was a hard cover.

Why do the cows have no horns ?
This breed, the Swedish Fjäll, are polled which means they naturally do not grow horns.
Acacia are beautiful, but are invasive in much of Western Europe. Are you worried about that?
I am unfamiliar with this pest he is referring to. What is a saulk (not sure of spelling...going on what subtitles said). Could not find under different spellings in Google.
Voles, campagnols, small wood rats. Loads of names for them. They destroy trees, any plant really, with ease.

Youngish trees. They can be controlled by fuming their tunnels or increasing predator populations/habitat (birds of prey, raccoons, foxes, snakes), or by bringing in domesticated predators.
