I have the ryobi and surprisingly haven't given me any problems so far and I shot so much stuff with it including oak , have it for 2 years and works perfect, but I'll consider the Milwaukee because it's smaller in size
Purchased mine in the UK for £160 . Powerful , lightweight and quite small . Safety trigger a little annoying . Mine came with some Bostitch pins , so i had a play . Perfect to attach door architraves/ architecture etc . Leaves no mark . Pins are tiny .
Looks like a nice tool , but appears bulky compared to the Milwaukee 23g. Reminds me of the Ryobi. Glad the Dewalt doesn’t have the annoying flywheel design. I do have their 16g and 18 g guns , but I have the Milwaukee 30* framer and pinner.
I like the dewalt cordless guns. They are not perfect but they get the job done for me reliably. I wish there wasn't the ramp up delay on my framer and my brad nailer but damn it they work
Не знаю как по-английски, но "задержка" по-русски , это опасно для твоей холостой независимости. мм . I don't know how to say it in English, but "delay" in Russian is dangerous for your single independence.
I use the dewalt framer and 16 gauge. Love them both. Really nice to not drag airlines. Had the 18 gauge as well. Unfortunately a thief took it from my trailer.
The pin nailer gun is nice. It doesn't have the flywheel noise like the rest of the nailers. This is why I use the Milwaukee nailer. Hopefully dewalt will change that flywheel motor soon. Be interesting if Dewalt comes out with a hydraulic impact like the Milwaukee surge. Now that's actually a cool impact. I use that more then the regular impact. I still use both Dewalt and Milwaukee and I'm happy with both brands. Thanks for this video
Thanks for the review, I don’t have an issue with the size as most do, but why is the LED at the bottom!? Does it actually light the nail surface area? Seems like a strange place to put it on.
The Milwaukee M12 Pin Nailer is substantially smaller and lighter. It’s about the same size as a pneumatic pin nailer. Lots of power to drive the nails. It utilizes the same nitrogen charged spring mechanism, as it’s larger brothers do. It locks out with 5 pins remaining, has depth adjustment, led light and shoots a heck of a lot of nails off of a 2 amp battery. Besides…you don’t have any of the weird red light, green light crap.
@@aaronoconnor606 tbh i have both dewalt 18 ga as a personal and milwaukee from my work truck and after 2 years i like the dewalt the milwaukee tends to misfire or not drive the depth alot more than the dewalt but thats just personal
I have bought two of these and had both of them stop firing nails within the first two nail clips. I can’t figure out what is causing it. I was using the Dewalt 1-1/2 inch pin nails and installing quarter round in my home. The gun will fire but no nails come out. I do not see anything jammed. Do you know what might be causing this?
I thought the same until I bought it, my co-worker has the milwaukee version, they're practically the same size, the milwaukee is just a little slimmer, but that's pretty much it.
299 with a old POS 2ah battery is to much $ they should at least make it one power stack at 250 or bare tool at 199 and ill be all over it. reminds me of their 20v trim router was 199 while the makita was 129 all day long and had a lot more base options. Love Dewalt but they need to be competitive. You are not the only game in town most people run 2 battery platforms or more anyways so they will just buy green or red instead.
I'd you think about what battery platform most Dewalt, and Milwaukee, users are in, making it 20 volt makes perfect sense. It fits a broader spectrum of clients and does not force 2 battery lines.
I’m shocked they chose 20v over 12v. I mean sure 2000 nails is great but if you could get 500 off a 12v I’d take that for smaller footprint everyday. You mainly use a 23g to tack and let glue do all the work
@@tranderrick A similar sized battery with less runtime (in exchange for additional short term power) is likely not yet enough to diminish the present benefits of 12V. There's still a noticeable weight and (small) size difference between a number of 20V Atomic and 12V tools - enough for a lot of users to still choose 12V. A nailer like this will see little to no gain from the more expensive PS battery.
@ Colin Gravelle Many 12V tools came about not long after the Atomic version was released so you might see a 12V version of it in the future though I wouldn't bet the farm on it. My girlfriend would jump for joy if that were to happen... as well as a 12V crown stapler.
@@roughroosterknifesharpenin5531 The 20v was only announced in May. If they were to release a 12V version (smaller, 1-3/8" max pin) I wouldn't expect that until later in 2022. I wouldn't hold my breath though...
Yo workshop addict I’ve been watching your vids for awhile and I was wondering what you do with all them batteries if you don’t use them I would appreciate them, thanks for reading!!
That is bulky for a pin nailer. I run mostly dewalt nailers but to me I think the m12 Milwaukee pin nailer I’ve been ussing is a better buy it just been going for me more compact for tight spots and same shot count with half the battery size
Not buying their finish guns anymore, brad nailers, 15 gage nailers need to go back to the drawing board, they have to many flaws . I’m done with Dewalt unless they fix the problems.
Don't know what's the big deal or all the commotion about the new dewalt 📌 nailer., When this nailer has already been on the market for a couple years now, and was much cheeper at $ 179 in the Craftsman line at Lowe's. The color 🟡 just makes people wona spend more!!!!!!!
Does the dewalt battery fit in it? Thats make it or break it for me Im not going to carry around extra batteries and charger that only work in one tool.
The older version I herd it left a bigger hole, you answered my question, I’ll go head and purchase and test it. Thanks!
Great content on the DeWalt Pin Nailer, thank you. I just ordered the tool only for $250 at The Home Depot.
How does it work Jose?
Thanks!
The latch to help with un jamming makes it worth it. Bought the makita 23gauge died within 3 weeks of purchase.
Same thing happened to my Makita pin nailer.the Metabo is also garbage.

I've used the ryobi. Its an excellent tool
Hey Brian please do a comparison with the Milwaukee 12vold 23GA. I just bought it because it's one pound lighter than dewalt
You made the right choice 😉
Lower quality and mostly plastic

Great channel, good review. Obviously we want you to compare that to the Milwaukee version
I love my Milwaukee for the pin nailer I only wish it would do 1 1/2 pins

No more flywheel, I was expecting a little high-pitched whine as it spools up the first time I shot it
Milwaukee M12 Pin Nailer for the win!

Why would that noise bother you? Of all the noises outlet tools make, it seems weird to draw the line at that noise.
When will this tool come to the UK?
would u know why my nailor lites go on .they flash both of them inbetween shots thank u it a dcn623d1
Going to order one right away, thanks
Good evening, can this pinner work with hard wood, does it work well or is it only for soft wood?
@@paulorobertoborges9281 it works well with hardwood!
finally caught up with the makita 23g
Hi .is it going with 18v battery ?

I appreciate it 💯👍🏾
What do you thin about the concept; will Dewalt move over to the same system as Hikoki and Milwaukee?
Hopefully they make an 18 gauge version
Are you supposed to keep that clear plastic cover on the tip on?
the plastic tip is to protect your project. it is why you have a safety trigger.
We just moved into a home in eastern Michigan, Has a basement and large for my shop.
Wonder how long before we see it in The UK?
Can you use dewalt 18v batteries in it?
Old nicads, no
@@WorkshopAddict They’re 18v Lithium Ion XR. Thanks for the prompt response.
The craftsman version is selling for around $179 at Lowes
I have 3 Ryobi guns and like them all. I don't see any reason to pay twice as much for Dewalt and Milwaukee for these
Yep and won't last half as long
Light and effective
If only Dewalt made a 16 or 18 gauge this size.
Milwaukee m12 pin nailer or the Dewalt 20v Atomic pin nailer which one you prefer because I'm definitely looking to buy one. I'm in both platforms.

It's weird that it is 20V while the Milwaukee is 12V and similar performance. Still nice though.

Milwaukee was smart by making their pin nailer 12v. Dewalt is much bigger and not necessary
a 12v Xtreme option would be nice however all of the other nailers are 20v so this makes more sense.
Umm yeah it is. So why would you get a special battery for something when you could have the same batteries for everything else.
Seems like the older Milwaukee is better and smaller.
Doesn't make any sense for Dewalt to release an Atomic tool and not include it with the new smaller battery
More expensive. Extra cost for the PowerStack battery might reduce the kit's appeal. I generally go bare tool anyway.
When is someone gonna make a cordless 21 gauge nailer?? 23 gaige is useless, 21 can replace 18 in many applications and leaves a way smaller hole
So was you're elementary school apparently. Guage
As far as pin nailers go, this does not even begin to qualify as "compact".
Not buying their finish guns anymore, brad nailers, 15 gage nailers need to go back to the drawing board, they have to many flaws . I’m done with Dewalt unless they fix the problems.
what exactly is the issue with the 15ga? I've been using it for years without issues
