  • Welcome to this special homily for Maundy Thursday. Our scripture reading for this day comes from the Gospel of John, chapter 13, verses 1 to 15. In this passage, we witness a remarkable act of humility from Jesus. Knowing that His time on Earth was drawing to a close, He gathered His disciples before the Passover feast and did something unexpected.
Jesus, the Son of God and the embodiment of love, took off His outer clothing, wrapped a towel around His waist, and began to wash the feet of His disciples. This simple act of service holds profound significance.
The message of the eleventh commandment is clear - love one another as I have loved you. Jesus showed us through His actions that true leadership is found in humble service. He taught us that we are called to serve others selflessly, without seeking recognition or reward.
As we commemorate the Last Supper and the washing of the feet, let us remember that the eleventh commandment is not merely a suggestion, but a transformative way of life. A LAW not telling us but commanding us to Love....
Engaging and enlightening, this video is a must-watch for those seeking to deepen their understanding of Maundy Thursday and its profound implications for our lives today. Don't miss out on this transformative journey of self-reflection and spiritual growth.

Quo Vadis? Peter asked Jesus. Profound Homily.
Always see things in a special perspective after fr Denis' Homily.
The Passover Feast, the 11th Commandment, Love one Another, as i have loved u, Making an apron from his garment, and kneeling to wash the Apostles' feet...Signifying Service towards others.
Wasn't aware of the BIG key which was needed to enter the palace through a BIG door, where Winston Churchill was born...
The Service door were normal and small.
Implication is that we have to practice Humility , Piety & Charity towards others, akin to ....entering through a small door.
    Do unto Others....
    Amen
