RA is the complete package, holie been this tough since the 90s but blackballed by the industry because he wouldn't do what he was told, so not only did they take his dealz away but made sure he wouldn't get any other unless he conformed. So he went underground and has been spittin like this for years and finally starting to be discovered and given his props
Gift of Gab is from Blackalicious, he's the sole MC that spits over production by Chief Xcel. Their albums "Nia" and "Blazing Arrow" are both underground classics. R.A. the Rugged Man has been an underground legend since the early 90s, even working with Biggie. He held a freestyle competition a few years ago, which A-F-R-O won
I enjoyed watching you enjoy these 3 lyrical monsters. Gift of Gab, A.F.R.O. And R.A. The Rugged Man are all top tier MCs. RIP Gift of Gab. I met him in SD. Good dude.
RA is a legend. More classic artists will vouch for him than anyone else. He's worked with every one of the greats. He's an absolute beast in all aspects of the industry
RA the Rugged Man is an underground legend(the white guy), I believe he spotted AFRO and kind of took him under his wing(correct me if wrong anyone). R.A.'s red flagged by the music industry but he has worked with most the OG's of the rap game. His "Uncommon Valor" verse is based off a true story of his dad, and in it's time has been said to be one of the best ever.
A red flag?!? He might well have very blown up before social media could no longer contain him if it was just that! That dude was *black listed* for shitting on a Jive executive's desk after they presented him with some Motown contract that would've owned his ass.
I am not a huge Hip Hop guy, but R.A the Rugged Man has hands down the best album of 2020 'All My Heroes are Dead'. Check it out, he is and has been for a long time the real deal !
Long time RA fan just finding your channel... yeah, you said it already... This one song is gonna send you down a click hole that *destroys* the direction you thought your tournament was gonna head!
Illest trio in my book: Cunninlynguists. So much classic underground goodness under their belt. Plus their beats are FIRE. I love how much you enjoyed this track, you can dive into all 3 of their catalogues and never cease to be impressed.
I’m 46 and just discovered RA this year after like 15 years away from hip hop due the garbage it’s been putting out. He is dope, prob in my top 5 ever!
I love seeing people react to this song. They're all insanely talented, but I have to give Gab the top spot. The genius of his song "Make you feel that way", and his rhyme schemes on every track, makes him unmatched in my opinion. Check out one (or more) of these: 4000 Miles - Blackalicious (Gift of Gab's group - RIP, Gab - best emcee to touch the mic) Top Qualified - Haiku D'etat Level of Difficulty - Freestyle Fellowship Mike, Aaron and Eddie - Haiku D'Etat.
Great job! I came here for Twenty Øne Pilots, & now I'm sticking around for you being so open to crazy different good shit! Thank you, buddy! Muchlove, suki
The guy who did the video "The Jokerr" is also a pretty good rapper and an okay singer. But an absolute genius of an artist overall. Jokerr on the trials of destruction album did all his own videos in his living room (you cant tell) and his own production for all his music. Honestly this collaboration as a whole is legendary artists.
If you're looking for more songs by these artists, check these out... *Blackalicious -* Chemical Calisthenics 4000 Miles (Chali 2na) Shallow Days Deception Make You Feel That Way *R.A. the Rugged Man -* Learn Truth (Talib Kweli) Dangerous 3 (Brother Ali & Masta Ace) Media Midgets Uncommon Valor (song by Jedi Mind Tricks) Still Get Through the Day
Bro you are my brother from another. It took me half way through the song and noticed you had on a fuckin kobe hoodie . I was 7 when kobe got drafted , thats my Jordan. Jordan the goat to me Kobe is 2 . But bean is my favorite.
The Roots is a great trio too. Technically it's a whole group but everybody don't rap in the group. Listen to their song You Got Me feat Erykah Badu. Eve is also on that song.
Your intros GOTTA GO BRUH. Barley got through it, not to mention it’s lame.. sorry dude, channel’s dope but please cut that ISH. At least in 1/2, or entirely. And then it even plays all whack-ishly in the background when you come in. I’m telling ya, ya must lose 2/3 of people that click on it before it’s over. I’m not all hate, I appreciate your reviews, they dope.
R.i.p Gift of gab who left us in June 2021. Once again another legend is gone and the rap game lost one of its lieutenant
I'm so glad somebody is finally giving these dudes some love!
Glad u reacted 2 that. This are true underated, not those who people say, all with way more publicity and not more skills

If you wanna hear a great rap trio listen to Fugees. There's a bunch of songs I couldn't put on the list. Listen to How Many Mics
He's already got Lauren Hill as his number 1 so I've got a funny feeling he might already know the fugees lol
Rugged Man Rules
Ra is your favorite rappers favorite rapper
One of the best trios I’ve ever heard is Busdriver - Ego Death ft. Aesop Rock and Danny Brown
Please react to RA The Rugged Man and AFRO - Gotta Be Dope

Check out The Upside Down by Cassette Coast!
One of my top 5 rappers and nobody even knows who he is in the grand scheme of things.
