- There are so many things I want to type right now about how I was feeling when I wrote this song but I'll try to summarize it as much as possible.
I'm 22 years old and growing up I always thought (like most little girls who are pampered by their Mama- lol thank you Mom), yes, I always thought life is about getting what you want, fairytales, happiness, always having your family or friends to be there for and with you and the list goes on.
But as I grew older I realize that life is not like that, life is a responsibility, an adventure, a journey, a rollercoaster, and so many other things but beyond it all, LIFE IS A GIFT. YOUR GIFT.
And it's okay to have bad days, it's okay to cry, it's okay to be upset but while you're at it don't forget to remember how wonderful you are because you were gifted this life and you should live it...to the fullest no matter what comes your way.

We have egoic pre-conceived ideas of what “my life” should look like. And so we spend our time striving/waiting for the right job, perfect partner, that car, that person's respect.
We fool ourselves into thinking that next month when I am thin, when I have my degree, when I retire I will live, enjoy myself. The reality is that we only have now, while we are waiting life is happening all around us, through us but because it doesn't look the way we want it to we ignore it. We treat it like an annoying insect that is disturbing us while we wait for “life” to happen.
