    The problem with the price is not that it’s uniquely overpriced relative to most other LEGO Star Wars sets both past and present. In my opinion, the problem is two-fold: LEGO is charging premium prices and most often delivering products with quality issues (especially in North America) such as print color mismatches, stickers that don’t match plastic colors, etc… and more importantly, compared to say 2012, it’s much harder to feed ourselves with the dollar today. The proportion of what we get compared to what we spend is getting worse all across the board of life. As such, I love LEGO, but I can’t responsibly be paying full price for this stuff anymore.

    While I feel there's no topping the 2008 version, standing on its own the 2025 MTT is very very impressive. When I get mine, I'll probably change some things here and there, a tad more greebling at the back, remove the stud shooters at back, and bam, perfect to me.
    The classic Trade Federation color scheme is probably preferred by most people, I won't lie, I love it too. But I LOVE the Separatist color scheme, and it makes Clone Wars scenes all the more authentic.
    Now that we have that printed dish, what I'd like to see.... Is someone to make a Separatist version of the 2008 MTT.

They just added a 1 piece gap between the droids for no reason. JUST PUT THEM CLOSER TOGETHER AND GIVE US 2 MORE DROIDS BECAUSE 6 IS TOO FEW AND EVEN 8 IS TOO FEW

In the Episode where Cad Bane goes into the Senate the Commando Droids are in a fitting color: Here’s the link, they literally pop up in the first seconds. @greyisland217 12 days ago

      @@EdwinPearson-j7q in battlefront there brown I played as one last night and they are brown also Lego doesn’t base things off exclusively live action just look at the animated style of Bly in the same set and all the other clones they’ve made since 2020. Not to mention the clone wars and rebels sets Lego made in the style of the respective show. There’s two different bo katans in recent years and one is cw styled and the other is Mando live action styled. Lego chooses what to style there figs after based on the media it’s from unless it’s a clone and in that case it’s kept somewhat constant to not break up the identical army aspect which is only a recent decision as in the past they had separated live action from animated clones like in 2014 where u could buy both at once

Not to mention the turbo tank comes with better minifigs meanwhile the mtt has a lot of droids which is good for that set but not worth near how much the galactic marines and bacara will be. Either way these two sets face the same issues so why are we giving one extra leeway?

      @17denby the turbo tank was some serious stabilty issues while the MTT actually implemented really good techniques for that droid deploy section, you may like the figures but figures alone don't make a set good. What LEGO has been doing recently (and it is confirmed) is that they raise the retail price so that they can make more sales eyeonce they put it on sale on markets like target Walmart Amazon etc. this isn’t the price they want to put it at but it’s smarter for them in the long run because they get more sales from people who think they’re getting a deal, if u have any questions just ask me in the reply section.

      Where was this confirmed?

    • @snazzle9764
      @snazzle9764 12 days ago

      @@Power6563 Its just Consumer Surplus, a very common economic theory that essentially is the extra value consumers receive when they buy a product for less than what they were willing to pay.
      And Lego wants to reduce that as much as possible - like they want the rich people who will pay 160 dollars and the other people who only pay like 140 dollars, but they don't want to just put it at 140 to get them both; because really want that extra 20 dollars that rich person is willing to pay.
      Ideally they would just charge them differently, but since thats illegal, they just set it at the high price and then out massive sales later on. They also want to reduce any value from sales for the same reason - reduce consumer surplus
