i couldn't for the love of god find someone that could teach me the split roll well enough. i didn't understand it at all and now that i saw this i'm starting to play it, slowly making it faster, but not as loud as I'd want.
thanks a lot, you're really good at this.

Very clear. You give good goals to shoot for and show how to get there.

Hania just a variety of hand techniques you can practice slowly each day until you strengthen your fingers I do this every day Don’t progress to speed until you get it right otherwise you get into bad habits and it’s a pain to get it on track again

The Turkish split roll is hard for me to learn because I'm right-handed and getting my left hand to cooperate correctly is tough I've watched hundreds of videos and I'd say yours is the best thank you.

Thanks brother, it is how you explain the process which defines the student to innerstand or struggle, teaching should be a universal language so everybody can learn without struggle. Keep on the path my friend. ❤ subscribe for more 💫

How about counting out the Q rolls the way you did the 16 note rolls. It would be very helpful.

Great video... Something very important that wasn't mentioned on any videos I saw to begin is the fact that you have to read your wrists. I'm working on quadruple rolls since I begun in February, and it takes lots of practice to get forearm and hands muscles to get used to it. Thanks for the video. PS: I couldn't see what fingers you used with the last technique Ka (I'm practicing with annular and pointing fingers but can't get good sound with the pointing finger)

Walter Fernandez thanks, yes the wrist is very important to beaware of because it is the "hinge" that creates the movement to your hands. Also keep persistent at it, I have been learning for about 9 months and you have to want it if it is important to your musical goals. Anybody can play darbuka, thats why its so fun to jam with musicians or even play for dancers. 🙂
