    I picked up one of the uhc premium(with the silver accented hardware) carpenter's a few years ago and I absolutely love it. It took me a while to get comfortable using something that beautiful for camping and woodworking but they are definitely not delicate or fragile. I would be reluctant to slam the razor sharp edge into a rock or something like that it's incredibly hard and would likely chip if abused but I've used it for all sorts of wood, leather, rope, and meat with no edge deformation at all. Still looks new except for the fact that I removed the microbevel and stropped it a few times on bass wood with. 5 micron diamond paste.

    Do you know if these will strike a ferro rod of the spine thanks Ian

      If the dont you can easily fix that with a file or even sandpaper

      @@stonedape3285 it doesn’t always work I have an ahti vaara puuko and it will not strike a ferro rod even with the spine 90 degree it’s to soft apparently it’s so the knife won’t snap in use if using it for prying. Thanks for the reply though 👍

      @@woodnugget1301 well for most knifes it works. A striker also does not take up much space. I do agree that a good knife should be able to strike a ferro rod tho
