So actually I went to visit Shanghai Saloon today because of this vlog and this is what I would like to say:
Shanghai Saloon I would say that the food you serve is one of the best dimsum dishes Ive had in the Philippines. I should however let you know that I eat dimsum in Hong Kong, Singapore and all over the United States. While I am very satisfied by the taste of the dishes yet I am very upset by everything else. I would never come back to your restaurant even if you paid me. Your silly servers started serving us food even before we ordered which only comes to show how disorganized they are. I feel sorry for whoever ordered those food. The female server started serving us Jasmine tea without asking us for our tea preference. It is customary that in dimsum restaurants you have at least 3 tea choices: Ju Hua Cha, Oolong Cha and Pu Erh Cha. The server said you guys only have Jasmine (im assuming oolong) Tea. Then as your silly server took our order he probably thought he was being funny by commenting “finished or not finished youre finished.” WTF is that supposed to mean? The food came and I asked for egg tarts. Your dumbass server said “No we dont have it.” Then I asked another server if it is off the buffet menu and he said yes. Why did the other server assume that we were not willing to order a la carte? So we ordered 2 sets of egg tarts while we were in the middle of eating our food. 10 minutes later I asked for the a la carte menu and the server handed it to me. I ordered the custard bun and the baked char siu bao. The server then said “sir this is off the buffett menu so youd have to pay extra.” Tanga ba ko? Can you not give me the benefit of literacy that I understand what ordering from the a la carte menu means? Napakabobo ng trato nyo saken who the hell do you people think you are???? You would inform me of common sense like this but you cant inform me properly about your egg tarts you dumb idiots! Recalling all of this really makes my blood boil you imbeciles! Then while we were eating my niece and I noticed there was langaw omfg.. A FLY IN PODIUM??! All of this has passed.. 30 minutes later and we are still waiting for our egg tarts. The server apprached me letting me know that it will be ready in 5 more minutes.. fine.. then 15 minutes more passed and the egg tart still was not ready. Ive about had it at this point and I asked with an attitude where the egg tart is along with our a la carte order. So eventually it came all but nearly an hour late. When I asked for the bill it was handed to me in a placeholder that has a visa logo. So I took out my Chase Sapphire Reserved Card and the server said “oh did they not tell you we dont accept credit cards?” I am going to file a formal complaint to DTI after this review as well as to visa that you are using their logo while not accepting their mode of payment which is false advertisement and you need to get sued or get your license revoked as a business. I made sure the server knows that theyre not supposed to use this and she abruptly responded in a very condescending manner “thank you for your input.” Your servers are ignorant and ill trained. Your restaurant pretends to be a first world restaurant that gives piss poor 3rd world service located in an overpriced location that serves dishes along with flies. This is awfully embarrassing. I am very disgusted by your service and your establishment as a business. Speaking of disgusting, some of your servers have terrible body odor. You cannot compensate for our experience at this point because I am leaving for singapore this sunday. But before I leave I will make sure youre held accountable for the experience we had in your foolish restaurant. Even Hen Lin gives me better service.. at least they dont pretend to be a real dimsum restaurant and their servers dont have putok.
