I really like the idea of Bayonetta getting new interpretations and different styles of games over time. She's an iconic character and it's cool to think that she might stick around beyond the original trilogy.
I don’t. Everytime a character is re-imagined for some new style of storytelling and gameplay, they always lose the roots of that character. Watch, if this becomes the new style for Bayonetta games it will completely overshadow the original and we’ll sound like old people for remembering the Platinum Games.
I like how the demon's voice sounds like the narrator doing his voice. It gives an authentic story feel to it but also makes the demon seem displaced among the more properly voiced characters.

I have trouble sticking with Bayonetta games no matter how much I try -- it's become a series I like seeing others play more than play myself -- but an adventure/puzzle spin-off looks right up my alley. The demo instantly hooked me, so I'm looking forward to the full release.

@@altafybrickbester b1-2 already had a origin. b1_2 where confirmed the same bayo till it was retconned in 3 and created contriditions, plot holes and etc. b3 is a completely different bayo who was confirmed not to have had the past games events happen in her timeline the only "similar path" they had was a version of the witch hunts but she was never stabbed and sealed. origins bayo is likely the bayo varient we get from playing the demo book in bayo 3, morgana and the fairies where never mentioned nor was the events in the original 1-2 continuity
Kamiya always uses Bayonetta to remind us that Capcom has all the rights to his creations. But considering that Capcom has kept the Okami franchise dead for over a decade, this spiritual successor is certainly appreciated. 😅

In addition to stating that there seems to be some type of family history with this demon, that Viola is unaware of which leads to it's loyalty. Since this game is what I'm assuming is a prequel towards how Cereza developed into the Bayonetta for 3 (which makes sense as you can buy this exact storybook for Viola from Rodin, but you have to then find the 3 keys to unlock it and playthrough the demo.) Yes this very much so relates to Viola in some manner, even if just her finally opening the storybook and finding out how her mother & father got together. (And possibly explain more of her fairy lineage.)
Saw this on Reddit just a few minutes ago and the demo IS downloading as we speak! I’ve never gone for a game this style, but I love, love the world of Bayonetta! I was sold on this from the off on that fact alone, but my excitement only continues to pique with every new look they give us. This looks sensational! The whimsy, the atmosphere, the music - it reads true-fan passion project in spades, which I understand the new designated project lead to be. Cannot wait!!
I dont know if other people are also excited for bayonetta origins considering what happened in bayo 3 but I cant wait until we get more insight of the world when cereza was younger and seeing how much little cereza has changed from the first game
This is definitely gonna tell us something about the events of Bayonetta 3 that we don’t know, considering Viola’s and Luka’s arc. And I bet it will come together with the ending to show us some way forward for the franchise.
@@RaFaPilgrim it will. This is why we are getting this. Bayonetta 3 left off with Bayonetta’s soul being taken to Avalon, thanks to Luka. We know that they’re both fine, as Rodin mentions so. There is also a picture of Luka in the chapter select screen. Viola is taking a selfie, with Enzo, Rodin, and Luka at the bar. With Bayonetta Origins, we will get more lore on Faeries and Avalon, and will Segway into Bayonetta 4. Both having a similar plot.. both Cereza and Viola needing to become powerful witches in order to save their Mummy. Plus, with Viola and Jeanne being alone, we can get Jeanne training Viola in the ways of the Umbra. She’s an elder-to-be, and a teacher. What better way to have the only other swordsman train a second-generation swordsman. They both also love anime, and love pushing themselves to their limits. Viola is gonna be awesome in time, and I’m here for it.
thing is this isnt the little cereza from the first game... net alone the grown one. this is a different universes bayo entirely, likely the one whose costume we get from the ingame demo
@@drewhaynes1874 this was confirmed to be ALL of them.. this was before growing up, before the war, and before the genesis.. the timelines aren’t created until AFTER Rosa dies.. or at least someone does.. as seen with French Bayonetta and Rosa.. instead of Jeanne and Cereza, it was Rosa and Cereza, because Jeanne replaced Rosa in that timeline.. it was Jeanne who died and Cereza found her.. Rosa either helped her daughter grieve or sealed her away. Maybe helped fight in the war, and then moved to France for Jeanne.. But yes.. technically it isn’t the Brave Cereza until she grows up and her specific timeline is born.. In a way, this might be Whittingham Bayonetta.. this one grew up with Cheshire and passed him down to Viola.. not all Cheshire dolls and timelines are possessed by a demon.. but we do know of one of them.. Bayonetta 4 will also have Viola on a similar path to save her own Mummy.. so we will see.. either way, lore and exposition like mad.. This game is going to be insane..

This looks fun and has pretty nice aesthetics and presentation? I don't see what the problem is unless it's like 2 hours long. Like people eagerly spent 120 bucks on the diamond and pearl remakes, this actually looks like it had effort put into it.
Idk the secret level (that after this game announcement became not secret anymore) in Bayonetta 3 made me wish for a complete game. So when they announced it I pre-ordered my copy the same instance
I highly recommend for everyone to try de demo. It’s surpass my expectations! Very good narrative, graphics and gameplay. Reminds a little Okamiden in my opinion. Which is awesome! I will buy!!
This is looking better each time I see more of it. I really hope it's a fun adventure. I think it will probably make up for Bayo 3 being a letdown to have another Bayonetta game, non-traditional at that, be something more refreshing and fun.
I'm looking forward to this, I low key wonder how this will set up the fourth Bayonetta for our eventual quaternity but I'm genuinely excited to try a new Platinum Games concept. I love it when they try different things and I'll gladly support their endeavours with this one.

I like both. One feels like a sassy designer brand and the other feels like eating mochi. Both are equally good. One game is hot and the other is wholesome but both are aesthetic asf in their own ways.
If she braved this, why did her younger self need to see her adventure to be brave enough not to be sealed away in Bayo 1? Unless this is another timeline, and this is another path Cereza has gone down.
We are talking about a origin story to an amnesiac As long as the events of the witch trials happen the cycle is preserved and causality is stable Though this could be hinting at Vigrid hiding the Avalon Forest maybe it's shrouded by fae magic.

If you love all those games then you’ll love Okami because it’s also by Hideki kamiya and developed by platinum games. Also, I do agree the price could’ve been a tiny bit cheaper but I played the first 2 chapters (2nd demo) and I have to say, story pulled me in because it looks like this game focuses more on the witchy side of bayonetta lore instead of another Armageddon type of thing like the previous 3 games which is what I want because I’ve always been interested in the witchy side of bayonetta lore. I highly recommend you try out the demo to see if it’s your cup or tea or not.

It’s strange because Okami has the same graphics and it’s quite a long game too (took me around 30 hours to get to the last part) but even that game is around £16 on switch but I got it on sale for £7. Strange really, I think Nintendo is taking advantage to boost the price up just because the bayonetta franchise is now an exclusive to them.

It's a twin stick game(one character moves per stick) but they ease you in it in the demo.

Chesire is the doll not the demon inside so this literally would not relate to viola at all besides having the same name

I have never played anything Bayonetta.
I did however just finish the demo for this, and I am absolutely in love with this game.
