    Great comparison! If you are a veteran, Home Depot will apply additional 10% off to Starlink price.

    Thanks for the global comparison. I had no idea they cost less in other countries. I was happy to see the USA price drop for BFriday.

      @@texasroots yeah the variable pricing on the hardware globally is significant! Monthly plan as well. I'm paying about 50% less for regional roam here in South America than the US.

    The one issue that is now holding me back from getting into Starlink is the uncertainty around the roam plan - it seems that it only works for max 2 months away from your home country. Is this really correct??? I live in Spain, but travel for many months at a time around Europe - is it correct that the Roam plan is suspended after 2 months away from your registered home country??? Thanks for advice on this issue.

    • @freelyroaming
      @freelyroaming  17 дней назад

      @@CG-99 it's not enforced everywhere. I would think it wouldn't be enforced in Europe either because prices all across Europe are the same. This is more specifically aimed at people from the US using a Mexican dish there and paying 50% less. Worse case scenario if they choose to enforce the rule everywhere, you just set up a new account in a few countries and move the hardware around those accounts. I've used a Colombian account for 6 months across 5 countries without problems.

      @@CG-99 they have updated the roam w details so I did move forward w purchase as I would suggest

      You can travel out of country for two months if over they force supposedly to change home address to new address.

    Anyone know what the activation fee is for unpausing the mini? That’s the kick for the “pause anytime”

    • @freelyroaming
      @freelyroaming  6 дней назад

      No fee to pause. You are just paid thru the month and stays active until then.

    • @ClarkyMalarky
      @ClarkyMalarky 6 дней назад

      @ when you pause the service after initial activation , you get charged to re activate Starlink . They call it a pro- rated cost to do it on my Gen 2 they were charging 80$ and up to reactivate. Which is more then the 50$ bundle costs for the month is my concern

    • @freelyroaming
      @freelyroaming  6 дней назад

      Ive never seen that charge. When I activate, I get the prorated fee until the end of that billing cycle. When I pause, it just tells me it is scheduled to pause when my billing period ends. No additional fee.

    • @ClarkyMalarky
      @ClarkyMalarky 6 дней назад

      @ it doesn’t charge me to pause and yes it goes to the end of the billing cycle . But when you want to fire it back up months later, they charge an “re-activation fee” ( or else they did, maybe not anymore? ) also maybe it’s different in Canada?

    • @freelyroaming
      @freelyroaming  6 дней назад

      @@ClarkyMalarky no I've never been charged a 'reactivation' fee but I've never had a Canadian account. I've had accounts in 5 different countries in the Americas and none of them have it.
      Perhaps it's because you are on the residential plan where pausing is not included.
