In this video I am in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota and I want to show you exactly what it's like to live in this first ring suburb of Minneapolis. Saint Louis Park is an small town feel, but very close to downtown. It has some historical significance, being that almost the entire city was built in the 1950's and 1960's. It's proximity is one of it's most desirable asset's, being that it is so close to downtown, but still a suburb. Saint Louis Park has a ton of mid-century modern homes built after world war two, along with a mix of rental apartments and condos to buy. I will take you through the whole city and highlight all the best shopping, entertainment and real estate it has to offer.

I grew up in SLP in the 80s and 90s on the lower west corner of the city by Knollwood Mall. In fact, I went to Aquila Elementary (your filming location) for grades K-2. It's funny, the Texa-Tonka shopping area used to be kind of a dead end afterthought place to shop in the 2000s, but it seems they got several enticing businesses to liven it up. Even though I now own land in rural MN and live a completely different lifestyle than everyone living in the suburbs, I still consider SLP home and when I need to go into the cities, I always make visiting SLP a priority.

Lived off of France when I was a kid for a while.
Yeah the texa-tonka area seems to be pretty happening now!
