There is bolt under the quarter glass which you can't at with out taking the quarter glass off , but you can use some force to wiggle the wing off, now you cant get new wing in place, cut off the wing were the bolt goes, use a bit of sealant and fit the wing back.
Nice project to get your confedence back after the Audi.Hopefully a quick fix and out the door. Keep doing what you are doing should help your expierence grow

I really wanted to see how you go the wing off!! There is a bolt behind the quarter glass and I cannot see how to get to it without breaking the glass - but you seem to have done it, but not shown it in your video.
There is a bolt just below the small window what you need to do is use a very small spanner 🔧 there's a small enough gap to fit it through the bonnet side where the suspension mont is if I can remember rightly I might be wrong its been a whole lol you will need loads of tiny turns to get it undone but it doesn't need to come all the way off just loosened the wing it will pull off in the direction of the front headlights after that. I hope that makes sense & some help

Looks like flood damage all that rust iv seen it before,audis don't rust like that, 🤪I'd get grinder on it and try and clean as much as possible off,would be very of putting for a new buyer
@@RevivingSalvage nothing a bit of brush on rust treatment and a quick blow over with a rattle can won't solve. I guess it's a 10/11 year old car now so the weather takes its toll. The one I had from Blackpool was so rusty with all that sea air.

I'm sorry I didn't think to film it ... the bolts 🔩 are straightforward to get out apart from one located under the small glass window... if you use a very small spanner 🔧 you can reach it through a gap in the scuttle & top mount ... don't undo it all the way just losen it off. the wing will pull out towards the headlights

I agree I does look like a lot of rust for it just to be a coolant leak,its on both sides of the front of the car,all the bolts are rusty too🤔
Always good when you can get body parts in same colour..
Yeah definitely save a bit of cash that way ...
You may want to invest in some Vactan if you want to treat the rust

I reckon the coolant tank has leaked at some point causing that rust. Probably a small leak over months or years.
