I have a trek marlin 6 mtb I m planning to go to the road bike I really love this bike I want to ask u is this bike good for long distance and the disc break or road bike which is good ?
They call it a budget bike. Yes because you need a budget of between 55k to 57k now adays. No small change for some. I got mine at 65k at the height of the bike shortage for Trek, when even the local TREK dealers had none everywhere late 2021 for the AL2 disk brakes w/ 700x32. I don't regret one red cent of it. I absolutely love it. Great video! Cheers!
As this was my first road bike, I also had experienced pain on my wrists and arms and sometimes saddle sores. After 400km of riding and adjusting the handlebar and saddle tilt, I became more comfortable on the bike. Maybe it requires some time for getting used to the road bike position. I may not be correct but, your handlebar seems rotated a bit upward and, the hoods seem to point outwards. You could try tilting the hoods slightly inward and rotating the handlebar until you achieve a more neutral wrist position. It might resolve your pain.
The shifting is great for the price. It's capable of climbing because of the compact crank and 11-32 cassette at the back. The good thing is that this is really upgradeable, so you can get it first, play around with it, and upgrade later on. :)
Great video! Just got one today and am excited to get it out on the road. Loved seeing a review of one with the rim brakes (the kind I got) despite the bashing they got in the middle jokes 😜

Same I have pain on my left arm too specifically on the elbow area. I’ve been riding my new rb for one month too! What could be the possible causes kaya. I don’t know what’s wrong na. Huhu
Hi Freya! Sorry to hear that. I've been able to solve the problem by bending my elbows more so that they create more of an angle. I also use my core (abdominal muscles) to support my weight instead of resting everything on my hands. If you have the extra budget, I suggest you get a bike fit so that they can properly tune your bike to your specifications and fix those problems. (I have a bike fit vlog coming up this week, so please watch out for that!)
@@SillyDaddyPH wow thank you for the really quick response! Haha! I’ll try to keep this in mind every time i ride. Thanks for the tip. 😊 By the way, I like your videos! I find your videos really helpful too. I’m from AC too. So, see you around! ☺️
Silly Dady I found Domane AL 2 used at almost half the price or a little less Do u think it’s worth buying it or just wait and get a better expensive bike like Trek Domane SL5 it cost almost 3 thousand dollars
If this would be your first road bike, I would take it! Just check to see whether the bike's in good condition though. However, if you're upgrading, the SL5 would blow this out of the water. It's carbon and has a better groupset.
@@SillyDaddyPH I have dual sport 2 hybrid and i have upgraded the tires from 700/40c to 700/32c It made world of difference now my bike is so much faster on the road but i was thinking of getting road bike somewhere by the end of this year. But i found this great deal for al2 for only 500$
If you want it, can afford it, and can't stop thinking about it (lol) go for it! A road bike is on an entirely different level when it comes to bike fit though. Make sure that the bike fits you well.

Okay ya sir for an entry level road bike! Paki-alben ye pu ini for my short review of the bike: ruclips.net/video/w0BSO4TOajc/видео.html Dakal a salamat!
Its a good entry level bike. I’ve been using it since 2018. I can relate sa saddle soreness. I’ve change the saddle and it improve my comfort while riding. However, it improved much more when I bought a quality cycling apparel (podium 😅). Im not sure though on your wrist pain as I dont feel any since riding it. I usually ride 2 to 3 hours twice/thrice a week.
Thanks for the comment! Been able to addresss the wrist pain by changing the stem to a longer one and basically learning how to rely on my core than my arms when riding. Riding the same frequency, and the pain is now non-existent. :)
@@SillyDaddyPH got it cheap from thailand, anyway have you changed any components on your bike? Saw other reviews saying braking power is not that good so you should be changing the pads
I've changed the saddle, pedals, and stem already. You can find more details here if you haven't watched it yet: ruclips.net/video/w0BSO4TOajc/видео.html I've also just recently had a bike fit, so watch out for that video soon.
Bro im planning to buy this bike what size can you recommend me? 56 or 58cm?. Im 5’11 16yrs of age and ayaw ko mabitin sa size kasi this bike will be my future bike until i grow old bro heheh ( sana matulungan)
Hey bro, thanks for the comment. First of all... Wow, you're TALL! Anyway, according to the Trek website, the suggested size for you would be the 58 cm version. But I feel like you can manage with the 56 cm version well, too. With the 56, you can then just change the stem if you feel like you can go longer (ganito ginawa ko sa akin, because I chose one size smaller).
Salamat keng suggestion! Manong kung magTagalog. Eku bage. Hahaha. Niya mag Kapampangan-English ku plus subtitles. Mas goods ku keng Kapampangan murin kasi mas natural. Hehe.
Hi Sir! Salamat sa advice! This video was shot about a year ago. Ngayon sanay na sanay na with the bike. Even planning to enter my first duathlon in a few months!
Thanks for the concern! Yeah, unfortunately, the mask mandate here is pretty strict. A couple of weeks back, an entire area that's popular for cyclists (Clark) was put on lockdown because of people not wearing their masks properly and not physically distancing. You could take down your masks during an effort -- otherwise we're advised to wear them at all times. :/

How long does it take to bike 25km? Planning to buy one for commuting, is it doe able like for everyday commuting?
25km would probably take an hour for me. But you have the consider the quality of roads and traffic situation in your area.

In that video, I was still running with the stock 25c tires that the bike came with. I've now upgraded to 28c tires.
