2014 -2016 were by far the most amazing days of 7s. Every country was pouring their all into it. So many big names for so many teams. The Fiji team was by far the most stacked ever. Yes we remember the names from the 90s, the early 2000s, but the structure, and the precision, the offloads and the hard hits, nothing compares to those 2 years. There are always freaks of nature like Serevi, Caucau, Bolavucu, Fero, Rasari, Delasau, etc. But as a team, its really hard to beat the 2016 team. We have to remember other teams were stacked too. To put into perspective, Mocenacagi was finding it difficult to stay on the team back then, today he is my top pick. The sheer size of the boys back then, dwarfed Mocenacagi who is sometimes the biggest person on the Fiji team. And some were even faster than him. (That being said, he really is a hard worker and deserves all he is given).
For the future? I don't think I have ever seen anyone as gifted as Rasaku. Much stronger than he looks (size wise) and moves so unpredictably. To the point his team can't keep support. A cross between Eroni Sau and Nasilasila is where I'd put him.
