Really quality podcast, gents. I work from home in the US and listen to quite a few Arsenal pods...and avoid quite a few of them too. I listen to James quite often and I'm really glad to find this one and have subscribed! Keep up the great work and COYG!!!
Glad someone appreciated my dad jokes! Thanks for watching and subscribing - another video will be released next week and we’ll be doing some more collabs soon!
In 2-3 years, Sesko will be looked at as a £120m player who we would be after in the same way as we want Osimhen or Gyokeres etc right now. Getting him early allows him to develop with our squad and progress. Successful clubs make signings like this and develop them in to world class talent, its something we need to be better at if we want to build a dynasty. We are very close in quality to City, last season a big issue was depth, and Sesko is an incredible depth option that helps us long term. He's also one of the most experienced 21 year olds you will find.
If Jorginho can play as a 6 in this side, then 100% Frenkie De Jong can. That midfield trio of De Jong, Rice and Odegaard is wet dream material for me.
Osimhen's injury record is really bad and he's double the price of Sesko. Buying Sesko allows us to buy more players elsewhere. Will he take time to develop? Yes. no doubt. Also, not sure why we are bringing Isak or Kudus into any conversation...no release clause. no incentive for either of those clubs to sell. They would demand over 120M+ and they should.
Peoples opinions on Kompany are so reaction. Not just you guys. Decent at Anderlecht, FANTASTIC last season at Burnley and got them relegated this season 🤷🏾♂️
Completely right - as soon as I said I worry for Bayern, I remembered how many times we’ve all been proved wrong by players / managers. Environment is king and time will tell. Thanks for commenting and will see you in the next one!
I think MA need to start considering rotating more and pay more attention to cup competition. IMO I doubt the way we play we can ever win UCL. I saw Dortmond dominate RMD but lack ruthlessness to throw everything on opponents faces, this is the hallmark of champion, the narstiness, ruthlessness and hunger, those are still lacking. That has got nothing to do with tactics or coaching
Too bad for Zinny but he is that slow James and what was new abt his game is now not effective - and that has led to easy to read passes by opponents. He can be good but not at Arsenal anymore I think
I know Arsenal has had good transfers in lately, but how good were the transfers the past few seasons really? Bruno G, Isak, Kudus, Mudryk all wanted to join and were waiting for Arsenal to call, yet we settled on others. Should’ve taken Isak over Jesus when they had the chance. Should’ve taken Guimaraes when they had the chance. Now Edu is back to square one, either take the risk on a young, arguably more volatile talent, or pay double/triple what they could’ve spent in the first place.

100%. We missed the boat on both those players. That's exactly why the Sesko signing makes more sense.
Great pod, glad I came across your channel. Subscribed! Cheers from a US Gooner!
Welcome aboard!

Thanks for commenting - do you think the new Champions League format will help Arsenal or make it even harder to win?
@@forderonfootball I think with additional matches and MA record of poor team management, it will be harder
James maybe we get Sesha (loan him back) if Osimen wants us we might get him at best price

Gunner backs gooner 😮😅😂++❤🥰😍
Thanks for tuning in!
Artem Dovbyk is the best option
He’s had a great season at Girona - will be discussing him in future videos!

50 million or less for sesko. Then it's a good deal. Xavi Simmons on loan
Xavi Simons is definitely on my list - would be an interesting option considering his ability for shot creating actions. Thanks for watching!
So how did you compute 50 million (without mentioning pounds / euros / pesos )
