The simplest politician I know. No bodyguards when he goes out and very interactive with his constituents. When he became our municipal mayor in Kiangan, Ifugao, he started helping college students who can't afford to go to school through his educational scholarship program until he became our representative in the congress.
I may be wrong here but he's probably the first person in the pro-divorce camp and pro-same sex marriage camp that actually acknowledges the religious influences on the opinions of these proposals. He actually explains why he uses the term same-sex 'civil union' instead of same-sex 'marriage' better than Robredo does.

It is TIME to vote for someone who truly knows the heart of the people. Who genuinely cares to try and help the bigger population rather than the few. Teddy Baguilat for senator.
Despite from indigenous folks. I can see former Gov. Baguilat was among of the wisest, very interactive & well mannered candidates. He deserve a seat in the senate to represent the indigenous folks. And definitely earn a slot as one of my senators. 🙂

Very well-spoken si Mr. Teddy Baguilat. Hope he wins. We need a real voice for Indegenous Peoples pra maproteksyonan ang mga needs and rights of these groups.
in spite your LP. id still look for the potential of an individual candidate for a specific position and i can see that may alam siya at di lang pamomolitiko, knows the current probs of the country and he can contribute to its solution.

I like gov Teddy, since I am also an indigenous folk, but because of this interview I am taking him out of my list. 1st he is against the anti terrorism bill, which help us indigenous to be saved from the hands of criminal rebels and terrorist. 2nd, he is against nuclear energy. 3rd, he is against federal form of govt and charter change which the province and IP's are the main benefactors. Thank u for this interview ser boy abunda!
Hi I understand your frustrations. So here's my take. Feel free to skip if you don't want. 1. He did note the anti terrorism bill needs amendment. If you think the bill will provide more protection, think again. There are no set boundaries yet with the bill. Meaning anyone can be called a terrorist. And in the hands of a bad leader, this can go south really quickly. Thus, not giving us the protection it should be providing in the first place. 2. Nuclear energy is waaay more harmful not just for the environment but for our overall safety as well. Please do look up on the accidents that can happen with nuclear plants. It is definitely not environment friendly and knowing our location being prone to typhoons and earthquakes, we might end up like Japan. He did mention renewable energy being the priority. 3. Charter change have been long used and abused for extension of term and nothing else. I believe this one is self explanatory. Anyway this is just my two cents. I do hope you give him a chance. He is waaay better to be in that senate position than those elitist and traditional politicians who have seated long enough and have done nothing m
