I think it’s sad to have to explain so much, but I totally understand why you are so careful . Thanks Demi. I think it’s fascinating how our tastes change over time.
I have found going thru perimenopause that my natural scent changes often which has effected what perfumes I crave and what smells good to me. We can normalize these changes, it's not a bad thing.
If you've been into fragrance for a long time you would totally understand that even your own style changes. My first fragrances were viva la juicy and good girl and I would NEVER wear those now 😂. But still appreciate them objectively.
I think it's totally normal for your tastes to change and for you to switch styles. I usually find that after I finish a bottle of perfume I'm pretty much done with it and need to move on to something else, which happened with my very first two perfumes: Bulgari Au Thé Vert and Guerlain Shalimar. I loved both fragrances and wore them constantly, but after draining the bottles felt no need to re-up, haha. There were just too many other scents to discover and part of the obsession was finding new loves. So kudos, Demi! Am loving your current French-chic phase, and always look forward to hearing about your new discoveries. Would love to see a video on the fragrances you've gone through more than one bottle of and still wear to this day. Till next video, belleza! ❤❤❤
Gosh I hate that in today's society everybody feels the need to be hyper apologetic even about the smallest things. If anyone gets mad at you after watching this video, it's their problem, not yours, Demi. People change, like you said. Greetings from Spain!
As someone living in a tropical country, god of fire is just a scent profile i cant get tired of. It screams summer without the usual notes (summer=coconut😂). It fits the climate yet is interesting and unique
The fact that you counter the backlash you know you will receive at the start of your video, just goes to show how personal a fragrance is to someone. Taste is subjective and will change, but other factors attribute to fragrance changes: weather, environment, audience, compliments, body chemistry, etc. It’s also interesting how much we wear fragrances that we may not love all bc other people’s reactions. I will wear D&G L’Imperatrice bc of all the compliments I get, but in reality I think I smell like a big bowl of spaghetti.
Hey there, makes sense. In many ways fragrance is just like fashion or makeup trends. We can love something one year then wonder what we were thinking a couple of years later...
I agree with you 💯, the taste and style keep changing from time to time, it's happening to me at the moment, I am loving clean perfume, and my style is trainers, leggings and coat everyday 🙂❤.for now the fragrance that ,I don't want to wear any more ,any thing with oud and rose , really I can't no more .
I understand completely. My tastes are now leaning towards soapy, powdery, aldehyde fragrances at the moment - so I’m after the very best in this genre.
I have smelled all of these have couple of samples as well but didnot buy any of these as I find them very sharp. Glad you made this video. Good day ❤❤
A very à propos chat as I suddenly, a few weeks ago, felt a certain distance to notes that were everything to me in the last 2 years: gourmands!!! Also, fragrances that I purchased when I first began my parfum travels are now not as alluring. Some I wear only for walks and hikes. It is said we are not the same as we were yesterday, each day we become a new individual. :)
Take back everything you said right now!😂 No, I totally get it. I sprayed Don’t Ask Me Permission the other night for the first time in a long time and was instantly annoyed😂😂😂 like let’s put you away for a while, but I love it!
The same has happened to me as well. I haven't worn some types of fragrances for some years now but I go back to and revisit them from time to time and when I am in the moood or feel nostalgic, I wear them.
Casiopea for me is the one that I do not like anymore :) i remember smelling it in the store and rolling my eyes on how good it was. Then getting a 10ml of the fragrance and... not even finishing half of it. Suddenly i just understood that it is not me 😅.
Coco Mademoiselle was my go-to for over 10 years. I loved it so much. Then one day, my nose just changed and it just didn’t smell special anymore. Maybe I grew out of it? Maybe I’m bored of it? I like thinking of it as.. it served its purpose for that time period. Now, there’s something better suited for who I am now. 💖
Absolutely fam,it happens 😊 I feel the same about Nasomatto’s Pardon.Around 2016-17 I used to wear it heavy, but in recent years I just haven’t reached for it much.Of course I know it’s a masterpiece, but my taste have evolved.I actually reach for Duro way more than I do Pardon from Nasomatto.Few others too,but that was a significant one.Peace n Love
Fragrance i dont wear anymore : Spice-bomb extreme- montal intense cafe 😷- montal arabian tonka - mancera cerdrat boise - JPG ultra male - CH men pasion . The main reason is they smell synthetic to me now.
I’ve always loved mango kiss much more than god of fire, I tried god of fire and never really loved it. I can definitely see how it’s not your cup of tea right now
IT happens all the time. I loved la panthere Edp 4 years ago. Then, for a couple of years I felt it did not match my taste anymore. Suddenly this winter I cannot stop wearing it. Even got the EDP and the EDT. Love them all!!
I also decluttered pas ce soir even though I think it is a beautiful scent:) la capitale was a big love for me when I started getting into niche fragrances but it was too strong for me and started annoying me quickly. I love cozy boring musc patchouli and vanilla fragrances. They just work for me in my daily life.
Erba Pura! I really had that same experience with it, like the most compliments ever, I would always have to write it down for people who’d ask, but after a season, even one spray was too much and I couldn’t wear it anymore
I’m burned out on powerhouse fragrances. 5-10 years ago you would rarely pass someone with a strong fragrances. These days, I walk past dozens of people who have oversprayed powerful fragrances each time I go to work, the mall etc. and I’m way too overexposed. These fragrances are less special for this reason; perhaps they weren’t as timeless as we initially thought - less love and more like a love affair.
I totally get what you're saying. in the last few months I have not been reaching for gourmands as much. I am more drawn to fragrances from Frederic Malle, Chanel such as Coromandel, and a few from Diptyque like Eau Capitale.
Same here I like ofg but it is too strong. Now I got one off of your opinion which is sospiro vibrato. You nailed it I love it. Now don't let me hear it ain't your taste anymore next year 😂
The fragrances that I do not want to wear for the moment (saying this conservatively haha) are perhaps african leather, black collection v by Widian (super sweet peach powdery scent), material by amouage, rehab and blessed Baraka by Initio.. just something super powerful, heavy, or sweet, attention grabbing and could be potentially nauseating I guess.. and yes would like to see a video of the fragrances that you still love till this day!!💗💗
I think I will always love la capitale but I can’t wear it often enough to get sick of it. I have gone off pas ce soir too, which is weird because I loved it and I think I may love it again some day.
I have Erba Pura, but I’ve never worn it other than in the house. I blind bought it and regretted it. It’s way too musky/ musty to my nose and too potent. I have a full bottle at that 😏
This is how I feel about Black Orchid, Noir de Noir, Layton, Eau Duelle, and Basso. I love them on others, just not on me for a while now. I’ve been leaning into Piano Santal, Santal Blush, Ombré Nomade, Angelique Noir, Silky Woods, Eau Papier, and Madurai. I love Another 13 and Pegasus so much, but for some reason the Ambroxan in them has been very screechy to my nose
Totally get you! Sounds like you’re enjoying more smooth woody scents atm! Ambroxan is also quite disturbing to me atm too. I blame all the Extrait, Parfum, intense releases that the industry is shoving down our throats hahahaha.
I wore the original Dior Fahrenheit during the whole 90s and Boss Bottled edt during the whole 2000s, but I haven't reached for them for over a decade (after I discovered niche parfums, but that's a coincidence 😉).
Kayali Lovefest burning cherry😌 two summers ago I wore it non-stop and since then don’t wanna even touch it🤷♀️ and I guess I don’t reach for fruity fragrances that much anymore. But I still think it’s a nice fragrance though.. go figure.
Demi I feel the same and love the Dyptiques and Channel no5 type of fragrances. Also into Arabian fragrances like Dar Al Teeb and Abdul Samad Al Quraishi. 😊
feel the same about god of fire and la capitale. never liked screechy ones like erba pura and never used my pas ce soir-brobably misspelled:( has some vomity feeling
Im kinda tired of gourmand fragrance, i still LOVE sweet fragrances but gourmand i cannot stand anymore. Especially that bianco latte type of dna that EVERYONE try to replicate
You have grown up ! In taste and preferences ! And that's a consequence of knowledge and experience ! Nothing to worry about ! Quite the opposite ! It is something you should be proud of ! Lessons learned !
When I fall out of love with fragrances, it is gradual. And once I really realize, I give it away, lol. I don't the opportunity to try it again. And I don't mind. 🌻
Demi, do you know Jacques Fath Encens Copal? That is really nice one. Same with me. Half year ago it was gourmand direction. Now I want something raw, natural
I never liked Pas ce soir. There is something really sour and borderline acidic and think it’s the quince note. It doesn’t work for me at all and I don’t get the hype.
It’s really annoying to me that we’re in a place where reviewers have to apologize for having an opinion, changing tastes or just plain not liking a frag. So what!?… During the recent So Avant Garde Sale, I bought Demi’s FDB Minuit, AND in that same order was Gritti’s Gossip Night (and THOO’s Guilty Crush). I value the reviewers’s opinions, but, at the risk of sounding insensitive, I DON’T CARE what anyone dislikes, especially with my money, my body and at this price point! If you don’t like what the reviewers have to say, unsubscribe and start your own channel!… Stop apologizing Demi! ❤
I got into fragrances just a year ago so my collection isn’t nearly as big as most collectors at about 70 is where I’m at. And I have a hand full that I think is great and don’t reach for. So I understand where you are coming from especially that so many new fragrances come out every week so it’s bound to happen.
It's cool to see your tastes getting more refined over time. You're stepping back from the super-loud and super-sweet perfumes and caring less about what other people think and exploring more subtle and nuanced options that appeal to you. Not a thing wrong with that. You do you and wear what you love.
I think it’s sad to have to explain so much, but I totally understand why you are so careful . Thanks Demi. I think it’s fascinating how our tastes change over time.
I agree but people are always waiting to pick apart everything you say 😭♥️
It is said our taste changes on average of 7 times over a lifetime. So, there is no need to apologize for anything, Demi.
@@Del-Scent don't act to be nice.. she is not going to be yours... lol 😂
Man said, Demi 😂
Thank you so much for your kindness 🥹♥️
I vote for Part II and a chat regarding the ones still living in your ❤
I have found going thru perimenopause that my natural scent changes often which has effected what perfumes I crave and what smells good to me. We can normalize these changes, it's not a bad thing.

Yes for sure!!! Normalise changing and growing 🤌🏼♥️
I think it's totally normal for your tastes to change and for you to switch styles. I usually find that after I finish a bottle of perfume I'm pretty much done with it and need to move on to something else, which happened with my very first two perfumes: Bulgari Au Thé Vert and Guerlain Shalimar. You’re very kind and I totally agree with you but the internet is a rough place sometimes 😩♥️
As someone living in a tropical country, god of fire is just a scent profile i cant get tired of. It screams summer without the usual notes (summer=coconut😂). It fits the climate yet is interesting and unique
So good! ❤
The ones I never ever forget are my comfort parfums. Ever!
The fact that you counter the backlash you know you will receive at the start of your video, just goes to show how personal a fragrance is to someone. Of course we want the video on the fragrances you’re still in love with
Ok coming up!!! ❤

Omg same!!! 🥹♥️
We change clothes , hair color , hair styles , weight , mates , reading , what we eat , everything, that’s the norm
Venus has a 7 year cycle, I think your Venus just started a new cycle. I didn’t like roses until a new Venus cycle was activated on my natal chart 🎉
I have smelled all of these have couple of samples as well but didnot buy any of these as I find them very sharp. Glad you made this video. Good day ❤❤

I just discovered white on white. Like it so much, bery similair to shunkoin but a little bit more special cause of the greeness.
I can’t get ovee how good this hair color is. This was a fun video. Thanks!
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
The same has happened to me as well. I haven't worn some types of fragrances for some years now but I go back to and revisit them from time to time and when I am in the moood or feel nostalgic, I wear them.
Shocked to see the cover of this video, and then saw the title thinking, oh yeah, makes sense now! ❤
Casiopea for me is the one that I do not like anymore :) i remember smelling it in the store and rolling my eyes on how good it was. Then getting a 10ml of the fragrance and... not even finishing half of it. Suddenly i just understood that it is not me 😅.
Unpopular opinion Rosendo mateu n5. I was obsessed with it. I woke up one day and decided to give it to my mom. I can’t stand it anymore
I’m not a fan of that one actually 😭
Love videos like this. Thank you for your honesty!
🥹♥️
Coco Mademoiselle was my go-to for over 10 years. I loved it so much. Then one day, my nose just changed and it just didn’t smell special anymore. Maybe I grew out of it? Maybe I’m bored of it? Like I always say to myself, if it is not a love-love, then no-no.
Hi Demi thank you for all you do. I would love to know your lipstick shade here please 😊
Charlotte tilbury pillow talk lip liner with Clinique lipstick on top!! I have to check the shade ❤
Fragrance i dont wear anymore : Spice-bomb extreme- montal intense cafe 😷- montal arabian tonka - mancera cerdrat boise - JPG ultra male - CH men pasion . The main reason is they smell synthetic to me now.
Cedrat boise, amazing smell !
I’ve always loved mango kiss much more than god of fire, I tried god of fire and never really loved it. I can definitely see how it’s not your cup of tea right now
Ooooh your pas ce soir has changed color. You must have had it for a while. I don’t reach for mine much but I still love it for life.
IT happens all the time. I loved la panthere Edp 4 years ago. Then, for a couple of years I felt it did not match my taste anymore. Suddenly this winter I cannot stop wearing it. Even got the EDP and the EDT. Love them all!!
Will you please review all your Arquiste fragrances? I feel like this brand is really underrated and would love to see you give them some hype!
Yeah folks take things too seriously. Taste is very personal and always evolving. I just sold Valaya and Meliora so getting upset about it is silly
I also decluttered pas ce soir even though I think it is a beautiful scent:) la capitale was a big love for me when I started getting into niche fragrances but it was too strong for me and started annoying me quickly. Totally! I love the fragrances and brands you mentioned. I’ve been enjoying the same ❤
Same here I like ofg but it is too strong. Now I got one off of your opinion which is sospiro vibrato. You nailed it I love it. Now don't let me hear it ain't your taste anymore next year 😂
I still LOVE vibrato!! I don’t think I’ll ever fall out of love with it ❤
@demirawling Yes I love it! Thank you

Totally agree!! Anything too strong is very nauseating to me atm😭 ok will film the counterpart !! ❤
I think I will always love la capitale but I can’t wear it often enough to get sick of it.

I wore the original Dior Fahrenheit during the whole 90s and Boss Bottled edt during the whole 2000s, but I haven't reached for them for over a decade (after I discovered niche parfums, but that's a coincidence 😉).
Love this and I want all your strong opinions, thoughts you’re still working through, opinions that change, all of it! 👍 Haters gonna hate
Is you video coming of what fragrances people actually wear in France?
I am waiting on that one too lol
Ooo ok yes!! I have a list ready I just need to film it ❤
@ wow wonderful!!! Merci
Kayali Lovefest burning cherry😌 two summers ago I wore it non-stop and since then don’t wanna even touch it🤷♀️ and I guess I don’t reach for fruity fragrances that much anymore. But I still think it’s a nice fragrance though.. go figure.

Me too 😂❤
Could you please rank your top 5 Diptyques?
Sure❤
Hey, Demi and everyone.
Hello to you
Please make a video about Merchant of Venice ❤❤❤❤
Totally agree with Hundred Silent Ways!! I’ve always said it smells overbearing and kind of cheap.
feel the same about god of fire and la capitale. never liked screechy ones like erba pura and never used my pas ce soir-brobably misspelled:( has some vomity feeling
You are very elegant, Demi. I like your videos 😊.
Hi Demi, you're looking beautiful! ❤ from Brazil! 😊
I also just declutterred La Capitale and other heavily musky scents. One day something just changed!
Funny you say that about erba pura, it’s one of the only fragrances I’ve gotten adverse reactions to.
I got tired of Hundred Silent Ways too.
Interesting topic 😊
Im kinda tired of gourmand fragrance, i still LOVE sweet fragrances but gourmand i cannot stand anymore. Especially that bianco latte type of dna that EVERYONE try to replicate
Hmmm looks like Demi is done (for the moment) with sweetness... 🥰
I totally understand you. My question is, are you still going to review beast mode perfumes ?😅
Get the beast mode stuff away from me 😭😂
I dont know was i sick when i, as a man, buy Erba pura. Horor 😂also Haltan, similar to OFG i give to friend.
You have grown up ! In taste and preferences ! And that's a consequence of knowledge and experience ! Nothing to worry about ! Quite the opposite ! It is something you should be proud of ! Lessons learned !
Girl you don't need to explain that we all know and been there already
You have an entry perfumes video for beginners? All the good starter perfumes?
Intense café, hundred silent ways X, gentle fluidity gold,…
Where are the early birds at! 🤍🤍🤍
Here
When I fall out of love with fragrances, it is gradual. And once I really realize, I give it away, lol. I don't the opportunity to try it again. And I don't mind. 🌻
Yes please, make the opposite video. Thank you! ❤
Demi, do you know Jacques Fath Encens Copal? That is really nice one. Same with me. Half year ago it was gourmand direction. Now I want something raw, natural
Aaahhh y yo empiezo ahorrar para comprarme La Capitale 😢 And I starting save to buy my perfume La Capitale 😂
Erba pura, Sand dance and Naxos. I don't want to wear these perfumes anymore
I stick with blues and fresh always because they're timeless and safe
You used to be such a OFG lover 😳
I never liked Pas ce soir. There is something really sour and borderline acidic and think it’s the quince note. It doesn’t work for me at all and I don’t get the hype.

What is your accent? I can’t tell if you’re Australian or French or both
Australian
Australian ❤
My Wife HATES EP! Lucky I got the bottle for free.
Demi❤
You don't like peaches! And fruit in perfume❤😂😂 yes???
Oud for greatness sadly has been reformulated it sucks now. Good luck sourcing a vintage formulation.😡😡😡
I got into fragrances just a year ago so my collection isn’t nearly as big as most collectors at about 70 is where I’m at. And I have a hand full that I think is great and don’t reach for. I will take each and every bottle of these fragrances, I’ll pay for the shipping. Haha.
Baccarat rouge 540 extrait
Thank you Demi
It's cool to see your tastes getting more refined over time. You're stepping back from the super-loud and super-sweet perfumes and caring less about what other people think and exploring more subtle and nuanced options that appeal to you. Not a thing wrong with that. You do you and wear what you love.
God of Fire?! Noooooo! x
Yeah, Demi 🎉🎉🎉!
Tastes change ffs... of course you can change your mind about a fragrance, or category of fragrance.
Wow.… 😮
Her taste changed, so let's unsubscribe lolz 😅
❤
Never liked any of these ant way
WHY DID YOU RECOMMEND THESE TO US IF YOU DIDN’T LIKE THEM BLAH BLAH BLAH❗️❗️❗️
😂
🤡
She did love them. They're just not what she wants to smell like right now. There's a difference.
Are you joking?
Dude she’s just not wearing them now calm your tits
