      He seemed like he had a lot more to say, but was holding back. I am pretty sure that whole investigation will be looked over to see who why this man wasn't looked into. They are still going to want someone to pay for this 24 yr old, cold case, since the killer is dead and they found evidence that should have been found when it happened.

      @@NailzOfficial Yeah, I would've been in high school around that time and I can remember watching a lot of shows like Forensic Files and the New Detectives and they used ground-penetrating radar, so it was definitely around and used widely enough to be on multiple TV shows.

      It’s West Virginia. It’s not exactly the top ranked state for competent local cops. Everything is badly underfunded. Federal agencies weren’t involved until recently.

      @@martuuk8964 My thoughts precisely. Unless you're in a bigger city, you're going to be dealing with very rural, overworked, underpaid, not necessarily incompetent, but definitely out of their depth when dealing with a missing persons/possible murder investigation kind of cops.

      Exactly. And crime scene investigation & forensics weren't THAT MUCH different 24 years ago than now. The same way they found that bullet a couple of years ago is the way they could've found it 24 years ago. That department is a disgrace, and whomever was working on that case back then doesn't deserve to be in the position of "solving crimes."

      they had warrents for his house they found bullets with DNA on them years earlier they interogated him on his death bed until he confessed. So actually the police did a lot of work and were able to show the evidence to him and use it in their interogations leading to the confession.

    Y’all… It’s worse than you think. It wasn’t a “poor investigation”; the primary thought was that this little girl, Natasha, was abducted by her mother, Susan. This is what happens when you get tunnel vision; you don’t see what is right there staring at you. Poor child and poor woman.     Is it really necessary to have law enforcement lined up behind the speaker at all of these press conferences? Especially in this case where it seems like the police dropped the ball so many years ago and didn't have much to do with solving the case.

    If the police would have investigated the basement the bodies were there for two days before buried there had to be evidence in that house like the police said there was a bullet and the girl's room in the wall

    I do understand that it was wrong waiting all these years unto death to make a confess. However, more cold murder cases would receive closure if suspects would take this approach.

      I can’t say 100% sure that O.J. Simpson committed the murders he was accused of, but I was hoping if he had that he would have given a deathbed confession. Now we may never know the truth 100% even though we suspect it

    First, my condolences to the rest of the family and friends. Second, at least the truth was finally revealed. Third, there still needs to be justice for the family.Fourth, I was suprised that law enforcement did not suspect Webb from the beginning, and obtain a search warrant. Last, they admitted to making mistakes...what mistakes were made ?

    He waited until the last moments of his life to confess. Why not a year ago when he had been indicted? This family wondering where these 2 were for nearly 25 years and they were right there the whole time. Humans are terrible animals sometimes.

    They should have done everything to keep him alive and stimulate every pain receptor possible until his last breath. He got to live the rest of his life a free man and no justice was ever served for those poor souls. This is disgusting.

    I'm confused by the wording of this report. The reporter refers to the missing people as both "women" but Alex was 10 years old. She was not a woman. She was a child. It's also weird that this case was not prioritized initially, since there was a missing child and I'm not sure why they were living with this man in the first place. The whole thing is very odd.

    All the cops in the video are probably no older than the daughter would be today. Bring back the cops from the initial investigation and ask them how they messed up this bad
