Ammunition is expensive. How can they afford to fire "celebratory" gunfire 24/7 for days now? Not to mention endangering the whole population, how can they afford to do this? I thought the people in this area have been suffering under sanctions, from poverty and shortages, yet every time I see videos they're filled with gunfire that is just reckless, careless, wasteful.

@ if there’s a chance there’s hope. In 48 when the Jewish Palestinians kicked out the British they were comprised of several different factions that did not see eye to eye. The Hagana, the Lechi, the Palmach and more. but after a few close calls where they almost fought each other they eventually found a way and they all consolidated to comprise what is now the IDF. If they truly want a good future for their children they will find a way to agree.

When you have a nation under attack from inside extremist forces who are prepared to use terrorist tactics and are armed and funded by outside enemies then the government of that state are forced to become heavy handed/authoritarian. This has been going on for decades in Syria - If it where not for Israel, the U.S., Turkey, Saudi Arabia and others sponsoring terrorism in Syria then I think Assad would have run a much more tolerant and affluent nation.
