I am having a major trouble while setting up the environment for C# and .NET as I have downloaded the 8.0.100 version and in order to set the system path I need to provide the path of the Folder situated in C which should have an dotnet.exe file, But it is not there. Having done multiple Uninstalls and Installs also leaves me in a middle of nowhere !
Visual Studio isn't going anywhere! Just spreading awareness of how you can also use VS Code for learning C# (Linux users especially should be excited about that!)
How can I get rid of those annoying blue underlines telling me to pascal case my properties and naming conventions etc.. Turns out to be probably Roslyn. Before this, I noticed OmniSharp disappeared and vscode just automatically downloaded some sort of dotnet update. I'm using vscode for unity, and these blue underlines are unnecessary cluttering my code view. I can't find the option to turn this off/on.
That would probably be code analysis rule, probably CA1727. You can disable that (and basically anything else) using editor config. It’s really awesome once you know how to use it.
I love how they hid the rating of the extension lol
@@ton-6182 the rating is bad yes. But the extension? I don't know to be honest. I don't use C#
Its decent tbh@@youarethecssformyhtml
Tried to use C# in VSC when I first started modding. Didn't work properly, had to switch to VS. Glad I did that, an IDE really helps for C#.
Modding where?
I just installed the Dev Kit extension and this video pops up noice
Matrix
Bro how much data it use to install?
Yes, but my dream..... what about design of graphics interfaces?
Sadly VS or Rider still work way better with C# and completion (test Razor pages with C# Dev kit for example)
rider 4 life
I don't think it will be better than a regular VS
Why should i? Is use Visual Studio thats a full featured IDE

Please download the c++ extensions, I can't tell if I'm right or wrong since I don't have a PC at the moment and I'm using the Android version

@@code Better not, I have huge windows forms and WPF to deal with 🤣🤣
@code We are 😁
C# and VS is not going anywhere. It is just you that will go away from the market if you pick up these technologies. 🫠
Visual Studio feature set is EXTREMELY HUGE, a mere VSCode extension with some tidbit features can never replace the behemoth that is Visual Studio
Don't forget Tabnine!
How to add System.Windows.Forms?

Can we use WInForm?
lol I wish it was as easy as you made it out to be in this video I just gave up and am doing great with C lol
but does c# code run now
C# dev kit is lame af. Omni sharp + solution explorer are much better.
Hopefully Microsoft fixes this mess
What am I connecting to?
Solution explorer, omg
Is this a Microsoft owned/managed RUclips channel?
yes
C but the picture is C++
LoL
Is c# worth learning ?
Any modern language is worth learning and getting good at. Some our more in demand then others but it also depends on where you want to work.
I cant figure it out
Mine has a problem
A paid extension inside a open-source product, nice!
Paid? What are you on about?
I can't install it
I was searching for vsc and finished wathing this wtf
Bro... just use Microsoft Visual Studio for C#
That works too!
@@code yes
Still not good enough
Microsoft being microsoft, its broken. buggy and no command support to add classes and other items without using mouse.
It's "Visual" Studio Code ... not "CLI" Studio Code 😅😂
Man I swear I said Microsoft being Microsoft just a few hours ago but I forgot why lol
