Re: Choosing the Right City in Saudi Arabia I’m an American who has lived in Saudi for over 22 years, experiencing life in every major city here: the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah. The response given by the brother on this topic was spot-on. There’s no universal answer to “Which city is best?” because it depends on your purpose. If you’re coming on an employment contract, your location will likely be set by your job. Based on qualifications, most job opportunities are concentrated in Riyadh and Jeddah, with newer prospects in developing areas like Neom and Red Sea resorts. For those looking at Makkah and Madinah, these cities are wonderful if you’re not planning to work-ideal for those on visitor visas or with premium residency. If you’re interested in starting a business, Riyadh and Jeddah both have distinct benefits, so it’s wise to visit and spend some time exploring to see which suits your business vision. And my advice?
