I love that you showed how dark Beast!AU is with the characters. For example, Ranpo and the rest feeling Oda is being too soft on Aku (which is true in my opinion the kid needs affection but he also needs to be disciplined). It’s fun to see how the ADA became a warm home only with Dazai’s intervention to make them more tight to survive the mafia yet they don’t have that in Beast.

While the ADA was a welcoming place before Dazai they were all kinda split into their own little groups in my opinion Yosano and Ranpo kept to themselves and Kunikida was extremely inflexible, and Kenji was Kenji (If it hadn’t been for Dazai’s intervention the ADA wouldn’t have taken in Atsushi). Dazai unlike Oda had the ability to adapt his personality and behavior to the people around him so he gave Ranpo someone who understood him, same with Yosano being trauma buddies, he forced Kunikida to become flexible so he didn’t collapse from his ideals being tested, and he never judged or scolded the siblings for their codependency. I think a lot of people who make the Beast AU react videos forget to show how important Dazai’s intervention was in even allowing the ADA to grow from a black and white world view. In Beast, Dazai is Controlling the narrative to fit for Oda, meanwhile in the original Dazai moved to protect Yokohama as a whole by forcing the Mafia, and ADA to get along. Sorry for the rant I like to get these thoughts out so I can review them later in the future to see how my perspective has changed as I grow. I really loved your video and how you portrayed the characters❤️❤️

It sounds sappy I know but your fic is very well written, it's consistent and flows like liquid. I loved it. It was painful but beautiful in some ways. I realised,dazai didn't accept aku in this au bcz he didn't want aku to go through the same as before...but he also took gin to give a purpose to live to aku..it all make sense..he cared for aku so much and we didn't see it. Anyway pray for Palestine
