I have the same oil cooler, currently going to try to remove the 2 AN ends where they go into my thermostat. I have some 45 degree replacement fittings that I will try and push into the hose to hopefully have the 45‘s sitting flush. I recommend you try the same.
Let me know how that works out. Currently my set up with the two 90’s coming out of the thermostat housing is not idea. The one closest to the rad fan rubs on the plastic fan cover. Had to make a little bracket to stop the rubbing. I was also thinking of getting a -10 extension for the driver side hose to put the 90 before the passenger side hose.
@ That worked out perfect. The 2 45’s in place of the 2 90’s are perfectly flush with no extensions or adapters. Spent all of 13$ on those 2 single 45’s.
One of the lines comes w a straight fitting .you vouldve used that side to hook up to the oil filter housing side and prevented the two 90s rubbing together .ask me how i know .
Great DIY, Calvin. So, how has it been working out? How's the overall quality? Any leaks? Any regrets? Have you tracked your car, and can say for sure the oil temps don't exceed 2xx deg. F when pushing it? Thanks again!
@@AmgKevo Where exactly was it leaking? Between fittings, or where the fitting is installed on the hose? Just wondering if this is a quality issue (I.e., cheap crap), or install problem. Thanks
@@Jeff-bw5kw from the hose itself where the seal that connects to the fitting into the oil cooler housing. Got a brand new hoses to replace it and it’s been fine ever since
Thank you for the in depth install 🙏🏽
You're very welcome!

Mine kept leaking from the hose itself. Other than that it’s great

do you need to add extra oil?
Yes, should be about half a liter
You can fill up the oil cooler before connecting it too.
