  • This video shows how to make an intricate paper lamp shade for a penny's worth of paper. It only takes 3 pieces of paper, white glue, and thread.
Please use a LED light bulb to avoid a fire hazard.

Jeez! That's difficult, but fun. It seems that I have to do a couple before having a decent one. XD

If the section where they fold the paper into sixteenths is too fast, divide the length of your paper by 16 to see how large each fold needs to be, then measure out marks with a ruler. You should end up with 16 marks to fold on!

You can use any paper you like. I used regular photocopy paper 8.5"x11" for my cooler LED lights. If you are using hot incandescent lights, you may want to use something that doesn't burn like parchment paper.

careful you dont burn down your house with paper lampshades...not made to withstand bulb heats, insurance wont pay out

it looks good. but normal people cant follow when u fast forward al the time. ill just buy one instead

I showed 1 or 2 folds at the beginning at normal speed so you can follow. for the sake of time, i sped up the rest of it as it is just repeats the same folds over and over. you can also slow down the youtube video .
