    I went to a open house. It was not even a new house. 3% prop tax. I immediately got the f out of the house. Within those seconds I was there, realtor already told I should buy ASAP, since prices will shoot up. LOL

      I don’t think prices are going to “ shoot up” but they aren’t going to go down either. Whether we like it or not and whether the area is ready or not growth is going to continue. Property taxes have been an issue seemingly forever. It feels like yesterday to me when Gtown was just a small little sleepy town. Even though I’m a realtor I miss the old days.
      Thanks for your comment and take care

    Can you give me names of top five subdivisions in Georgetown and the area that is growing with new developments

    • @Realtoraustintexas
      @Realtoraustintexas  Год назад +1

      Obviously a very subjective list and depends on what your needs are but some of the best subdivisions include Morningstar, Oaks at San Gabriel, Rancho Sienna, Cimarron, Wolf Ranch. Let me know any specific questions or needs you might have. Happy to help

    A relative has lived in Georgetown for many years and it has turned into a nightmare to live in. They have already allowed too many people to move into the township area without first improving the infrastructure. They were experiencing Class III water restrictions last year which will now only get worse with all these new yards people are going to want to use the limited water resources for. The area roadways and highways are full of construction and rock hauling trucks with crap flying off of them and Sun City's deer population they maintain has turned the area into a driving hazard with all of the deer running across the roads. Sun City should be sued for all the damage and deer carcasses laying around. They have not planned well for this level of expansion and they do not have the infrastructure to support the people already living there. Also for whatever reason the area around 195 and 35 seems to be an oven for creating tornados that form in this area and move up 35 toward Jarrell. If you are in the area around 195 and 35 you better build a separate tornado shelter. (Just review the weather history of the Jarrell area) If you're smart you will not move to that poorly planned / developed town.
    No offense meant to you and your information video sir. But folks need to know that the town has become a terrible place to move to. Don't believe the hype Georgetown puts out, it has not been planned well and anyone moving there will ultimately regret it in 5 years. If my relative's condition was better I would try and get them out of there.

      It's the fastest growing city in America two years in a row now. Not expecting growing pains is just silly.

      No offense taken. I always appreciate peoples feedback. And Georgetown definitely has its challenges. Especially because nobody could’ve anticipated the rapid growth that it has seen.
      I have many friends and clients who live in Georgetown and have for years and while a lot of us old timers really liked the old Georgetown. I do believe the new Georgetown will find its groove even with the challenges it has relative to traffic and population density, but time will tell.
      It’s definitely not going to be the place for everybody and for sure It depends on where you come from. I do believe there are still a lot of very positive aspects of Georgetown, but it does go hand-in-hand with some of the challenges.
      Thank you again for your feedback. Very much appreciated.

    Did you mention the constant road construction, the high cost of living the ever growing property tax and utility bills? The inept mayor and city council that can't keep essential public services running, oh and the constant gas leaks.

      I did mention that everywhere you turn there is construction, that you have to deal with traffic on 35 and 29, and that one has to understand how fast Gtown is growing. Definitely not the quaint remote town is was a few years back

      Yes, Georgetown is a very undesirable place and let’s keep it that way! 😏
