I'am a retired America at 66 years old ,i was in Cebu in 2016 ,but i want to return to Philippines to retire there for awhile ,my question is , what about international health insurance in case something comes up about medical situations in the Philippines, do you have any international health insurance companies that you would suggest ,and what happens if a foreigner passes away in the Philippines, do you make plans there in the Philippines for funeral arrangements ,anyway looking forward going back to the Philippines ,i planed on staying in Bohol, or Dumaguete, or live in or around Cebu and maybe other towns to look at while i am there, thanks

Thanks for the question. There is several health insurance options that will pay a percentage of the cost depending on services needed. I broke my hip in front of the house I was renting last Feb. I was living in a gated subdivision at the time and 20+ people from the division showed up to help! A truck with a stretcher from the Barangay Hall showed up and brought me to the hospital. I got x-rays and meds and a ride back to my house on the stretcher for under $100 US the ride was free. So what you co-pay with the insurance will be a lot less than US and insurance cheaper monthly too. You can't use US medicare here bad for me! Haha I plan on making a video about insurance here soon. I like to keep my videos under 5 minutes so i didn't have room in this one. Keep watching and subscribe. Thanks again.
