I think I have (almost) decided to stop posting HCR2 themed videos at this point, we get no contact with the developers so the game is basically going to shit. I am thinking of rebranding the channel to a vlogging channel tell me if you would still come stop by sometime to watch my videos😆😆
An idea that would work well is to post roblox or minecraft videos. Even these games are mainly for kids, they have a very large audience. Kids are everywhere, and kids need entertainment. Kids take up a whopping 80% of youtube audience. And games seem to be what really trending for them now.
I completely agree with this video, i quit the game because of many reasons and this was one of the main reasons. It became too tedious, too boring and the new updates were so pointless which did not add any fun just aesthetics which were also pointless. The worst update in my opinion is the adventure tokens. After this i just stopped adventure. It took me 8 months to unlock canyon. 8 Months!! By that time cuptown was introduced. Since then i pretty much stopped playing regularly as well
yeah same, just quitted last year because of adventure tokens (its very stupidly hard to grind), plus grinding for gems and coins is too boring, adding at least 1 map each update and also lacking new content for each update
I've stopped playing because of the time I need to do to fully max out my account.ive only maxed out the upgrades on one vehicle and it's took me 6 months
A lot of good points in this video... Truly sad to see my favourite game being abandoned by the devs lately.. 😢 At this point I even find HCR1 more enjoyable, as it doesn't have complicated & useless features that are super hard for new players to get. You just unlock new maps & vehicles with coins, very easily.. It can take only a few months to get a maxed account on HCR1 if you play daily. Furthermore HCR1 doesn't have any sh*tty anticheat system and any incompetent support team. I've pretty much quit playing HCR2 after late 2023, because of the bad updates, and 1.58.0 was the last straw for me. _Look how they massacred my boi.._ Great vid 🎉
ARGEE, HCR1 ARE SO MUCH FUN. Now new player are unable to play because the blueprints update which sucks and im very lucky that i unlocked every vehicle before the update. And i also quit the game at late 2023. Sometimes i will only claim chest reward and left the game immediently
I can agree with the last sentence. I used to be an oh player as i have mentioned and there just so many bad useless features that make it impossible to progress if you arent good at the game this is so sad.. 😭 even hcr1 is better and more enjoyable now...
I guess I should quit playing hcr2 because of hackers 😞. Literally there are everywhere whether in cups leaderboard or in community showcase event or in adventure leaderboard even the boss levels are hacked 😭. This is the biggest reason for making me think to quit hcr2. Anyways nice video and keep growing 😊

As a new player it is actually really hard to get tokens and blueprints it took me 2 months and only have 167 blueprints.. i barely wanna play this game and I hope FS would see this vid
I feel that since late 2022, I've been let down by EVERY SINGLE UPDATE that FS has released. From parts that are way too overpowered to impossible limits in adventure maps to unfair cashgrabs, they're just squeezing more money out of us while making us quit the game. It's fucked up. They should realize that eventually, everyone's gonna quit and they're gonna end up bankrupt. Every time I play this game, I barely have any motivation (hence the lack of uploads on my channel) and wish that I could just go back to 2021, when I actually enjoyed the game and actively grinded daily. If I'm being honest, I don't expect anything to happen for the next couple of months at least. Fingersoft has continued to ignore all of the community's complaints and suggestions. They blatantly LIED about releasing ONE OF THE GREATEST, MOST ASKED-FOR FEATURES IN THE GAME (track editor), and continue to make the most shitty, filler updates EVER to get every last cent out of their "beloved" community. I haven't quit yet, but nobody should be surprised if I do. It's disgusting, sickening and heartbreaking to see my beloved game, the prequel (HCR) of which I started playing 8 years ago, be reduced to dirt and ashes by its own developers.
THIS. Fingersoft is by far the most laziest developer I've ever played a game from since Gameloft, I don't have much motivation to even play this dying pile of sh*t. It's getting ridiculous, boring, frustrating, unplayable, stale af. I agree with you on the filler updates, just something new and that's it, nothing good about it. After hearing about the reverted Public Event ticket refill prices to 20 gems from 60, I think FS is trying to control the amount of damage they've done, well it's too late, IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN 60 IN THE FIRST PLACE. 60 gems for 4 tickets is an absolute rip-off, I would've slapped the person who even thought of that stupid crap. If they add one more crappy thing, whether if it is a vehicle, map, or feature that is broken, I'm leaving. I've had enough of this sh*t, I cannot stand anymore sh*tty adventure maps, glitchy vehicles, cups that shouldn't be for new players but added as a Bronze or Silver League cup anyway. I totally agree of this entire video. The agme developers are just sitting and just adding silly things to game to just earn money and don't care about the people playing this game.... Today Sabeer account is banned and they say we can't do nothing about this...hackers ruining the game and legit players being banned 🤨 what the heck is that.... For newbies, the game is just a time pass and boring. For me, as a old player from Hcr2 (playing from 2018), i remember those old golden days where there were very few maps to play and no adventure tokens and all vehicles and maps to be purchased with gold and rank just.... but now a days the game is just ruined by adding these updates and the nost painful the nitro... becoz one who has nitro, dominates the whole lobby...whole others don't having this keep lagging behind....this made the loss of the skilled WRs of all time that were made so hard...but developers didn't care 😢😐😐🤧🤧🤧🤧

I will say that Fingersoft has done a good with some of their updates. They just re-added the 20 gem refill which was a common complaint. Although it’s annoying for those who are not VIP, the track editor has very few flaws. Just hoping they get rid of the many hackers in the game now, I’ve gotten two in one cup before 🙏

Jerry, you really do speak from a lot of players perspectives. And I can extremely agree with your points about adventure tokens. Not only do the RNG factors of random car selections for adventure chest maps make you use your most un-upgraded and inexperienced vehicles, it also kills you early into your gameplay because of the lack of upgrades to get you a distance. And all the races give you not even hundreds of coins at a time so you're constantly put behind a paywall to upgrade your early starter cars. I have to wait months to get even just enough money to unlock final upgrades on my DUNE BUGGY. And even with a fully upgraded dune buggy I can't get past 4k Km on some adventures because of the RNG on attachment unlocks. I've played Hill Climb since release on the same google play account and I still haven't even gotten more than 1 fuel boost upgrade for the dune buggy, let alone my Muscle car. I'm still stuck with perfect landing boost and wheelie boost on the Muscle car. Let's not mention the RNG on the key unlocks. You have to work HARD for the keys not to mention the difficulty it is to nab the large keys for new players. But it doesn't even gift you enough money to upgrade a SINGLE THING on cars. So far I've had to wait at least 1 year to finish just upgrading my engine on the Racing Truck. And I barely get anything for that car either. Another problem is the gem crates. Which are also entirely RNG based. Car parts, and Car selection in general! Making a free game based on gambling also for kids does not promote a good image for the playerbase. Part of me is sad and happy HL2 is dying because it's just become another cash grabber for the devs. HL1 was so much better because the coin rewards were so much more bountiful and could actually net a player money for a new map to experience within just a few hours let alone just days. But now I have to wait days just to get another adventure crate run and net nothing from it, and months to get a new map!
Totally agree. And you provided a lot of insight on things I was not aware of. I have been playing HCR2 ever since it was first released, having played HCR1 for many years. I'm certainly not a top player, but it is incredible how difficult it is to max out just one vehicle now. I had a VIP sub for a couple years which helped, but I recently dropped it and going back to non-VIP rewards is just painful. I had to temporarily re-activate VIP so that I could unlock the Rock Bouncer since it is basically impossible any other way. I've been with a great team for a while as well and have worked my way up as a top contributor for the team so I am not backing out yet, but it's incredible how I haven't even gotten some parts for the new vehicles yet- I still don't have Nitro for the Muscle Car for example, and without the Nitro part you don't have a chance at scoring high in the team events. I also hate how most of the recent vehicles they have released either break the game or are completely pointless. And I honestly can't remember the last new Cup that I enjoyed. Every one seems more frustrating than the last. I hope FingerSoft gets their act together. From what I have played of Lego Hill Climb Racing, it's gonna be even worse as far as the grind goes as well.

Yup, I agree with you Jerry! I've been playing for 4 years with my Girlfriend, we have upgraded all the cars to maximum, but didn't like the new additions, so in the end we quited the game

A point I would like to add is that in recent maps like canyon arena, cuptown the developers have become more lazy as they cant every bother to put fuels after a certain distance, the map are made for fun but getting restricted to go further after a point make game trash........
I agree with your points. I am an OG HCR2 player and still have some fun, but ever since the addition of adventure tokens, I just stopped playing adventure altogether. Nitro is way too overpowered and it is basically necessary in order to win either events or community showcases. The game just feels tedious and the lack of developer and community communication/involvement is what kills most games. I still don't even have Rock Climber because of how hard it is to obtain in public events. I don't want this for HCR2. None of us do. The past few updates have been very underwhelming, and it saddens me to see a a game that I have put so much time into slowly die. I just hope that it will get better, but it probably won't.

I strongly strongly agree with you. Fs has ruined their game. Old players are losing motivation to play the game now and I see why and it's just very difficult for the new one's to progress. It's only the players like myself having 5 6k gp that still play it much because there is so much to achieve the recent updates aren't effecting much. They are pretty much useless. I really liked the video. Fs is just killing itself as they can't get much new players and the old one's will quit the game certainly after some time. I think fs should fix all that as it has so much potential
I got lucky to start my journey in 2022 before bad updates comes FS community managers good at not doing their job, but just want to squeeze money from us too much good games died from this. Rip ,pvz, tf2, dark deception, etc 😢
I feel like just need to add a whole rework of some of this stuff, as you said like the adventure tokens events and vehicle blueprints. I would make it so you now get adventure tokens on the adventure road as rewards for certain milestones
I always knewed about some of the problems that you said in the video, such as the game progressively getting P2W and slower account progress over time. The best thing to be added to progress the account was the OG seasonal chests, even though they were OP, they helped so much to max out the account by giving legendary and epic parts alongside with some gems to help to enjoy more the game.
I would like to see a part 2. there's many more topics to talk about like how fs shouldn't be lazy with adventure maps after 10k and making adventure challenges in weekly challenges not just 200m but actually interesting and challenging but not to hard for new players. Under 10k is good maybe 7k depending on the map
The part where you said it’s hard for newer players because of the parts and how many vehicles they release per year is so right, when I started the game,the maximum GP was 9400 I think, now I have 9100GP but the maximum is now 12000and something,it is so hard to max everything and then have enough spare parts for the next vehicle
the example of modded COC is a good example since the modded version has a different server which consists of hackers only, it doesnt affect the real community who play the game legitly
That video is so good and relatable. If someone knows me, they will know I am in PL National and I quitted the game because of the exact reasons you talked about in your video. The game in last year or two became too P2W and is slowly getting more and more boring. I hope FS does something because other top players start to lose interest in the game which may lead to hcr completely dying
As for these FS community managers , I had a chance to talk to them twice on Stream, but I didn't discuss problems because they weren't there (with Fingersoft itself in August, and with David in December(I know, I forgot))

thanks, now i'm demotivated to play it again. i used to play it as a kid with no wifi and i did enjoy it, then i reuploaded it like one year ago and i noticed something was wrong with how they were adding shops and tokens everywhere, something was off. now i redownload it again, notice that it is maybe overly complex and the same day i see your video and understand maybe i should not be nostalgic about it and try to play again
I've played hcr2 for a long time and im sad to see it going away. It feels just like a lot of other companies who are giving up on development and only focus on profit. The community has been neglected and the game is sadly dying. I only hope fingersoft does something soon

I love this game so much. I have put so much time and effort into this game and i dont want all of that to go to waste by qutting. I guess i have been playing the game on hard mode. I decided that i would have to max out a vehicle before i bought the next one. But this game has been so fun. I really hope the devs see this video and consider doing somthing.
I am on a CC team and a long time player of the game, without ever spending a dollar on it. I have probably around 10.5K garage power. I agree with this video. The players who pay for VIP and everything else for sale have a ginourmous advantage. With that said, i have seen guys with extremely low GP's put up great scores in team events, so GP isnt the end all be all, however, the game needs to make it relatively easy for newer players to get every vehicle so that they can play team events.
And make the epic parts more frequent across every box. It absolutely loves giving me the same epic parts over and over, typically for mono, moon lander, dirt bike. The only saving grace with the weekly solo events is that I can watch a 10 second ad to double my points, generally 9 or 10 going to 18 to 20 per match. Since they increased ticket refill to 60 gems, need those ads to finish a weekly event without spending gems since I can play every single day, especially on weekends when I'm out and about with the fam. I hope they figure it out. It's a fun game and I like the team im on
"Only the biggest players can compete at the highest level", that IS the definition of highest level. Also, the ads are minimal, not too annoying and you can usually skip within a couple seconds. Progress isn't too slow either, you just have to win your races. Also, I think it's good that it takes a while to max-out everything; if you want to be OP, you should be willing to work for it
so im relatively new to hcr2, and i completely agree with this video. i started last may, and have played pretty regularly since then, and i currently have 5.6k gp. i dont know much about blueprints because i intentionally unlocked all the cars before the update, but for me i can say the beginning of the game is definitely absurdly hard, and adventure tokens are complete garbage. ive been playing adventure maps consistently since i got the game, i have 1.6m stars and i havent even unlocked gloomvale yet 💀. grinding adventure tokens has been a slow and painful process, even with me doing public events for tokens and my daily adventure chests. getting good leveled parts is also a nightmare. i have all of my vehicles 15/15/15/15 so leveling isnt an issue, but the parts are a pain in the ass. cars like motocross, bus, or even rally car are unplayable without decent parts. i think the games concept is cool, but i do think thr early game progression could be tweaked to be more friendly to new players, especially the blueprints
I can truly agree im an og player as well. It was good when you could get all vehicles easily and now the game is just too overcomplicated and almost impossible for new players to have actual improvements. This is really sad as hcr2 is dying and thats the reason i quitted. Bring old hcr2 back 😢😢😢😢
I miss the "only coins" times... After they made maps unlocking by adventure stars, it was ok, but not so long ago they added those tokens and since that I haven't played this game so much
It is just sad how a game of my childhood is dead for the developers of the game. It is actually the first game I downloaded back in 2017 the first and the only game I actually played but now I don't know how to do with A LOT OF HACKERS I hope the game revives from its own grave
I have been playing hcr2 adventure pretty consistently (I finished the trophy road) and still stuck at mines with 400+ tokens and the next map is desert. I wished they made adventure tokens at least easily to get, like appearing in the maps as collectables like coins for you to get but less common. And I think thats the only problem I have with adventure tokens. They are just simply too hard to get if you're starting out in the game. Cause you cant get far in adventure.
I agree with this one i have been playing this game for like 7years now and getting the new stuff is to hard now especially when the update came out and the devs just dont care about the starting players like my frend joined a few days ago and quit instantly cus its to hard to get anything now cant even get the new vehicle rock bouncer and moon lander after all these years because of the coming updates its starting to get hard to play this game so im quitting

I can agree that this franchise is dying all because of era. They are trying to fit hcr2 into a more modern era but it doesn't work. That why many older players quit that why for newer players it's impossible to ges something that's why...... i think that Fingersoft is 🔪 their game just like any other gaming company following this "trend". I have a friend who was a pretty new player and I have been playing for years. I actually needed to help him get all the adventure maps because he just wasn't good at long distances. Even with my help he still needed a few months to get all the maps.
I started playing again in mid 2021 and in late 2022 I started learning about the meta and playing more frequently, then the token update hit. Now it 2024 I have only 11 maps, I am only vanguard 2 and only 3 cars with maxed base upgrades(No cars with max parts). Admittedly, at the time I played much more Cups than adventure. . Thank God that I brought all the cars before the new unlocking changes, otherwise I probly would have just quit. It can take me months to unlock new maps. My progression has slowed so much and it is just not as fun. The only reason I find it fun is because me my friend are always trying to beat each other's Adventure PBs, challenges and Cup PBs. Three of my favorite games are dying all due to neglect and greed them being Rocket League , Forza Horizon and sadly now Hill Climb 2 . Should just play Minecraft till these games die or fix themselves. Edit: just realized if FS screws this up they will have almost nothing to fall back on.
So true, one time when I was doing a cup the entire lobby was filled with hackers who finished in less than 10 seconds. Which was almost 3 times faster than me. The game is just getting very unfair and boring. I might quit soon
I agree with this. I had 9k gp and it was hard for me to get nitro and all of the modern-game stuff. 1/3 of all time attack maps are being held by nitro. The community managers suck. - things i disagree (1/2): 7) you claim that "new players cannot play the game effectively". This is not always the case. True, like most games, if you dont know what you are doing and dont have a plan, you will end up having a harder time at the start. However, all it takes to solve it, is to have a plan, to have done some research. For HCR2: it's about managing ressources: do you REALLY need multiple un-upgraded vehicles? do you REALLY need lvl 10+ air control part? With smart decisions, you can play better. This is especially true when entering PE for new players: if you do some research before (ex: on youtube), you can prepare the PE better. Is the next PE a wheelie event? Then maybe avoid upgrading the sport car, and invest instead on dune buggy (if you can). I could give more tips, but some of them is about the other points i will discuss next. 8) you seem to complain the game add "cash grabs". However, this is a very common thing to do for ANY F2P game. Main reason being to keep the players in-game while they wait for completely new deals. It's also one of the main ways to support the devs directly. Finally, those cash grabs were in the game for years already, so complaining now is way too late. 9) i'm not sure what you mean by "vehicle blueprints are locked behind a paywall". According to my research, you obtain those blueprints by completing daily tasks (which are free to do). So, you o not pay any real money for them. There is 5 vehicles locked by 250 blueprints each. That's a total of 1 250 blueprints. Each day, a F2P player have 6 tasks (with ads). Each task give 1 base blueprint + 1 extra blueprint with an ad. So each day, you get 12 blueprints. This mean after 21 days, you have 252 blueprints, enough to unlock 1 vehicle. Keep in mind that during those 21 days, you continue getting ressources and/or upgrading your other vehicles. After a bit more than 3 months, you should have enough blueprints to unlock all 5 vehicles. Finaly, i should mention that the blueprints vehicles arent really "game changing" overall. At best, monowheel and snowmobile might help in very specific TE tracks, and other vehicles will just add one more option for TE. 10) I said in 1) that the progression was very tedious because of coins and parts reliance. However, i don't believe the adventure tokens made adventure worse. In fact, i think it made a bit better for new players. Let's recall some facts: during an adventure chest run, you gain 2 tokens / 500m (4 with an ad. Except special maps). Forest adventure map (arguably the easiest adventure map to go far with low-medium GP) is locked behind only 4 tokens. You can check the wiki for token cost for specific maps after that. In total, you need nearly 15 000 tokens to unlock every adventure maps. Among the "smart decisions" to make, there is this token management. You can either unlock the maps one by one once you have the ressources availible (the "intended" way), or you can keep harvesting tokens while only having easy maps unlocked. I think a smart way is to ONLY unlock forest map, and keeep farming tokens there if possible. With enough map knowlege (can use youtube) and above average vehicle (no need to be max, but it will be easier), it is doable for a medium GP player to reach 10 000m in forest. With the adventure chest, that's 80 tokens (with ad). You would need to do this run around 190 times in total. Let's assume that every day, you can get 2 adventure chests with ad in forest (as far as i'm aware, you can only get 2 ads / day from those chest, even though there is more chests / day), and that you can do 10 000m everytime. In order to farm enough tokens, you would need at least 3 months. It might sound a lot, but during this time, there are a lot of other things you can do to upgrade. Another thing: after 1 month like this, you can earn around 5k tokens, enough to unlock several maps, up to having a total of 14 maps (if we include special maps. Although this mean you have to buy all the cheapest maps). Reminder that there is 20 maps in total, so after 1 month, you can unlock most of them already. Last thing i will mention: the token system is "better" for new players. BEFORE: (only star system): - you are forced to upgrade several cars in order to progess the stars. you can't repeat the same run over and over. Either you beat your own record (and it will often only be a few 100 stars), or you have to change vehicle, which mean the new vehicle neeed to be upgrade enough too (which use lot of ressources) - you are forced to unlock new maps (the players can't choose), sometimes harder maps, which will give new players more difficulties (ex: forced to play a hard map with very little experience) AFTER (token system): - if you are smart, you can limit the maps pool for the aventure chest, allowing you to get the easier maps more often. Note that it will screw players for the key hunt. - you do not need to improve your record, you only need to drive enough regularly. While going further will improve the rewards, there is no penalty for driving less. - you do not need to upgrade several vehicles, you only need few vehicles (even with vehicle chests: if you have a limited number of vehicles, it will be easier and wont use lot of ressources) 11) i see you having a very negative opinion about the ads for rewards because "it offer very little". But for me, as long as you are efficient, you can get enough value from ads. And even if you screw up once, as a F2P player, you want to get every advantage you can get. In the long run, it will be worth it. X2 rewards basically means you have half work to do for the same objective. From my exemple on point 10), if you don't watch any ads, you go from playing 3+ months, to playing 6+ months to unlock every maps. 12) "having a forced break ad after EVERY cup" is a little exagerated. For me, the reality is closer to after 3-5 cups (which usually last 1 min each, so that's between 3 and 5 minutes without forced ads), which is MUCH better than certain mobile games that throw a forced ad literally every 30 secs. 13) let's talk about PE. First, a remidner that there is 2 groups of players: those below legend, and those who reached legend. New players playing PE will only play against players who are also below legend rank, and will likely also have limite ressources (although some can intentionally stay here with higher GP). One important thing to learn: getting 10 points everytime isn't always the goal you want. Depending on the saved gems, you can afford to consistently reach a lower place (likee getting 7-8 points), provided you know what you are doing, and did some research. With ads, you get a total of 35 free races / week, which can have their event points doubled with ads (this is equivalent to playing 70 event races). if you can do at least 6 points everytime, you will get at least 420 event points, enough for 400 points grand prize. And for new players (before legend rank), you don't need crazy skills or upgrades to get 6 points. if you can do at least 9 points everytime, you will get at least 630 event points, enough for 600 points grand prize. However, it will require good skills and upgrades to consistently get 9 points. one refill cost 20 gems (was 60 gems before, so yay!), and will esseentially add 8 races worth of event points (with ads). if you can do at least 8 points everytime with 1 refill, you will get at least 624 points. Getting 8 points should be doable for above average players if you can do at least 9 points everytime with 3 refills (60 gems cost), you will get at least 846 points, enough for 800 points grand price. If you can spend 80 - 100 gems instead, you would only need to do 7 - 8 points consistently. Another usefull thing to do for PE is to prepare. RUclips is very usefull for getting lot of informations: track names (to organise information, then decide which tracks you can play or need to skip), favored vehicles (which vehicles appear often in top positions), suggested parts (only visible through direct gameplay, since you cant see parts on leaderboards), top classement goals (time / distance needed to get 9 points. Be sure to prepare some error margin), map traps / obstacles (detailled notes for important obstacles. Like slowing down at specific distance). After this initial investigation done, it's time to compare with your current garage, and determine which important upgrades are worth. Keep in mind that you do NOT need to play every single maps. It's fine to seelect only few maps, and focus on having a good vehicle for these maps. (especially usefull for PE that favors a wide variety of vehicles). Last thing to note: what to buy from the PE shop? The first thing to check every day is the limited time offer. If you dont want that, SAVE your points for future limite time offers. Do keep in mind that it is possible for the game to offer 1 random legendary part the very 1st day of the event, which cost 100 event points. So either you are a HCR2 god and get 10 x 5 x 2 points, or you will need to buy a refill (or use special tickets, depending on your TE goals). At the last day of the PE, you can spend all the points. I recommend buying at least: epic chest, 5 x 2 random epic parts. If you are low on special tickets and use a lot of them, consider them too. After that, use the remaining points on 10 rare parts and 5 common parts until you have maxed all common / rare parts. If so, buy the coins and/or the scraps. And of course, dont forget the legendary chest from the grand prize.

Man Listen, I highly agreed with everything that you have said, especially, the hackers and more importantly the dumb blue prints, for new players to unlock the vehicles. Hcr2 was a golden game back in the day since, they wouldn't add dumb updates and would actually listen community, give out free skins and paints and the fs staff would never ban people fo stupid reasons, they also has op bundles, like green formula, tiger/nikita rally, but now sadly all we get all the stupid bundles, and they used make extremely op vehicles, like cc-ev, rotator, But now we have horrible vehicles, like beast and lowrider which can't do shit and cause extreme pain in adventure and time attack and making parts that completely ruin game like nitro, back then hcr2 made op parts like jump shocks, Overcharged turbo which still carried the game to this day. I used to play the game for many years, playing daily. Around the same time nitro dropped, and before that, i struggled to keep enjoying the game, and contributing to team events. I dropped from CC, bouncing from teams, down the ranks due to inactivity, until i eventually quit entirely. I remember when the game first came out, and Its sad to me to see the game in this position, and to no longer enjoy it. I do agree on the decline of time trial. I used to love time trial, it was the main thing I played. Though over time, my love for it dwindled, and nitro was the nail in the coffin. This is the first hcr yt video ive watched in many months... Seeing games go downhill feels like a common trend that I hate to see. Used to enjoy hcr, and games like minecraft, and more specifically hypixel skyblock. Also the Pokemon series is a prime example. There are MANY more examples where the game creators feel like they're just getting lazy with it, or ignorant. Imo, Terraria is one of few old games left, that I still truly enjoy, that hasnt gone to shit. I doubt anyone will read this far, especially seeing as hcr content has died alongside the game, will anyone prove me wrong?

I completely agree with this video, i quit the game because of many reasons and this was one of the main reasons. It became too tedious, too boring and the new updates were so pointless which did not add any fun just aesthetics which were also pointless. The worst update in my opinion is the adventure tokens. After this i just stopped adventure. It took me 8 months to unlock canyon. 8 Months!! By that time cuptown was introduced. Since then i pretty much stopped playing regularly as well

At this point I even find HCR1 more enjoyable, as it doesn't have complicated & useless features that are super hard for new players to get. You just unlock new maps & vehicles with coins, very easily.. It can take only a few months to get a maxed account on HCR1 if you play daily. Furthermore HCR1 doesn't have any sh*tty anticheat system and any incompetent support team.

I feel that since late 2022, I've been let down by EVERY SINGLE UPDATE that FS has released. From parts that are way too overpowered to impossible limits in adventure maps to unfair cashgrabs, they're just squeezing more money out of us while making us quit the game. It's fucked up. They should realize that eventually, everyone's gonna quit and they're gonna end up bankrupt. Every time I play this game, I barely have any motivation (hence the lack of uploads on my channel) and wish that I could just go back to 2021, when I actually enjoyed the game and actively grinded daily. If I'm being honest, I don't expect anything to happen for the next couple of months at least. Fingersoft has continued to ignore all of the community's complaints and suggestions. They blatantly LIED about releasing ONE OF THE GREATEST, MOST ASKED-FOR FEATURES IN THE GAME (track editor), and continue to make the most shitty, filler updates EVER to get every last cent out of their "beloved" community.

I will say that Fingersoft has done a good with some of their updates. They just re-added the 20 gem refill

Jerry, you really do speak from a lot of players perspectives. And I can extremely agree with your points about adventure tokens. Not only do the RNG factors of random car selections for adventure chest maps make you use your most un-upgraded and inexperienced vehicles, it also kills you early into your gameplay because of the lack of upgrades to get you a distance. And all the races give you not even hundreds of coins at a time so you're constantly put behind a paywall to upgrade your early starter cars. I have to wait months to get even just enough money to unlock final upgrades on my DUNE BUGGY. And even with a fully upgraded dune buggy I can't get past 4k Km on some adventures because of the RNG on attachment unlocks. I've played Hill Climb since release on the same google play account and I still haven't even gotten more than 1 fuel boost upgrade for the dune buggy, let alone my Muscle car. I'm still stuck with perfect landing boost and wheelie boost on the Muscle car. Let's not mention the RNG on the key unlocks. You have to work HARD for the keys not to mention the difficulty it is to nab the large keys for new players. But it doesn't even gift you enough money to upgrade a SINGLE THING on cars.
So far I've had to wait at least 1 year to finish just upgrading my engine on the Racing Truck. And I barely get anything for that car either. Another problem is the gem crates. Which are also entirely RNG based. Car parts, and Car selection in general! Making a free game based on gambling also for kids does not promote a good image for the playerbase. Part of me is sad and happy HL2 is dying because it's just become another cash grabber for the devs. HL1 was so much better because the coin rewards were so much more bountiful and could actually net a player money for a new map to experience within just a few hours let alone just days. But now I have to wait days just to get another adventure crate run and net nothing from it, and months to get a new map!
Totally agree. And you provided a lot of insight on things I was not aware of. I have been playing HCR2 ever since it was first released, having played HCR1 for many years. I'm certainly not a top player, but it is incredible how difficult it is to max out just one vehicle now. I had a VIP sub for a couple years which helped, but I recently dropped it and going back to non-VIP rewards is just painful. I had to temporarily re-activate VIP so that I could unlock the Rock Bouncer since it is basically impossible any other way. I've been with a great team for a while as well and have worked my way up as a top contributor for the team so I am not backing out yet, but it's incredible how I haven't even gotten some parts for the new vehicles yet- I still don't have Nitro for the Muscle Car for example, and without the Nitro part you don't have a chance at scoring high in the team events. I also hate how most of the recent vehicles they have released either break the game or are completely pointless. And I honestly can't remember the last new Cup that I enjoyed. Every one seems more frustrating than the last. I hope FingerSoft gets their act together. From what I have played of Lego Hill Climb Racing, it's gonna be even worse as far as the grind goes as well.

A point I would like to add is that in recent maps like canyon arena, cuptown the developers have become more lazy as they cant every bother to put fuels after a certain distance, the map are made for fun but getting restricted to go further after a point make game trash........

I agree with your points. I am an OG HCR2 player and still have some fun, but ever since the addition of adventure tokens, I just stopped playing adventure altogether. Nitro is way too overpowered and it is basically necessary in order to win either events or community showcases. The game just feels tedious and the lack of developer and community communication/involvement is what kills most games. I still don't even have Rock Climber because of how hard it is to obtain in public events. I don't want this for HCR2. None of us do. The past few updates have been very underwhelming, and it saddens me to see a a game that I have put so much time into slowly die. I just hope that it will get better, but it probably won't.

I always knewed about some of the problems that you said in the video, such as the game progressively getting P2W and slower account progress over time.
The best thing to be added to progress the account was the OG seasonal chests, even though they were OP, they helped so much to max out the account by giving legendary and epic parts alongside with some gems to help to enjoy more the game.

I would like to see a part 2. there's many more topics to talk about like how fs shouldn't be lazy with adventure maps after 10k and making adventure challenges in weekly challenges not just 200m but actually interesting and challenging but not to hard for new players. Under 10k is good maybe 7k depending on the map
The part where you said it’s hard for newer players because of the parts and how many vehicles they release per year is so right, when I started the game,the maximum GP was 9400 I think, now I have 9100GP but the maximum is now 12000and something,it is so hard to max everything and then have enough spare parts for the next vehicle
the example of modded COC is a good example
since the modded version has a different server which consists of hackers only, it doesnt affect the real community who play the game legitly

The game in last year or two became too P2W and is slowly getting more and more boring. I hope FS does something because other top players start to lose interest in the game which may lead to hcr completely dying
As for these FS community managers , I had a chance to talk to them twice on Stream, but I didn't discuss problems because they weren't there (with Fingersoft itself in August, and with David in December(I know, I forgot))
The only thing I showed them in August were things in Map Maker and the bug with the terrain disappearing

I love this game so much. I have put so much time and effort into this game and i dont want all of that to go to waste by qutting. I guess i have been playing the game on hard mode. I decided that i would have to max out a vehicle before i bought the next one. But this game has been so fun. I really hope the devs see this video and consider doing somthing.

I am on a CC team and a long time player of the game, without ever spending a dollar on it.
I have probably around 10.5K garage power. I agree with this video. The players who pay for VIP and everything else for sale have a ginourmous advantage.
With that said, i have seen guys with extremely low GP's put up great scores in team events, so GP isnt the end all be all, however, the game needs to make it relatively easy for newer players to get every vehicle so that they can play team events.
And make the epic parts more frequent across every box. It absolutely loves giving me the same epic parts over and over, typically for mono, moon lander, dirt bike.
The only saving grace with the weekly solo events is that I can watch a 10 second ad to double my points, generally 9 or 10 going to 18 to 20 per match.
Since they increased ticket refill to 60 gems, need those ads to finish a weekly event without spending gems since I can play every single day, especially on weekends when I'm out and about with the fam.

In brawl stars, the mapmaker is also super fun to play. I mostly play mapmaker only
"Only the biggest players can compete at the highest level", that IS the definition of highest level. Also, the ads are minimal, not too annoying and you can usually skip within a couple seconds. Progress isn't too slow either, you just have to win your races. Also, I think it's good that it takes a while to max-out everything; if you want to be OP, you should be willing to work for it
so im relatively new to hcr2, and i completely agree with this video. i started last may, and have played pretty regularly since then, and i currently have 5.6k gp. i dont know much about blueprints because i intentionally unlocked all the cars before the update, but for me i can say the beginning of the game is definitely absurdly hard, and adventure tokens are complete garbage. ive been playing adventure maps consistently since i got the game, i have 1.6m stars and i havent even unlocked gloomvale yet 💀. grinding adventure tokens has been a slow and painful process, even with me doing public events for tokens and my daily adventure chests. getting good leveled parts is also a nightmare. i have all of my vehicles 15/15/15/15 so leveling isnt an issue, but the parts are a pain in the ass. cars like motocross, bus, or even rally car are unplayable without decent parts. i think the games concept is cool, but i do think thr early game progression could be tweaked to be more friendly to new players, especially the blueprints

I can truly agree im an og player as well. It was good when you could get all vehicles easily and now the game is just too overcomplicated and almost impossible for new players to have actual improvements. This is really sad as hcr2 is dying and thats the reason i quitted. Bring old hcr2 back 😢😢😢😢

I have been playing hcr2 adventure pretty consistently (I finished the trophy road) and still stuck at mines with 400+ tokens and the next map is desert. I wished they made adventure tokens at least easily to get, like appearing in the maps as collectables like coins for you to get but less common. And I think thats the only problem I have with adventure tokens. They are just simply too hard to get if you're starting out in the game. Cause you cant get far in adventure.

I can agree that this franchise is dying all because of era. They are trying to fit hcr2 into a more modern era but it doesn't work. That why many older players quit that why for newer players it's impossible to ges something that's why...... i think that Fingersoft is 🔪 their game just like any other gaming company following this "trend". I think it's time to #savehcr2 we have to spread this message (#savehcr2) maybe we can make it change it forever
I have a friend who was a pretty new player and I have been playing for years. I actually needed to help him get all the adventure maps because he just wasn't good at long distances. Even with my help he still needed a few months to get all the maps.
I started playing again in mid 2021 and in late 2022 I started learning about the meta and playing more frequently, then the token update hit. Now it 2024 I have only 11 maps, I am only vanguard 2 and only 3 cars with maxed base upgrades(No cars with max parts). Admittedly, at the time I played much more Cups than adventure. . Thank God that I brought all the cars before the new unlocking changes, otherwise I probly would have just quit. It can take me months to unlock new maps. My progression has slowed so much and it is just not as fun. The only reason I find it fun is because me my friend are always trying to beat each other's Adventure PBs, challenges and Cup PBs.
Three of my favorite games are dying all due to neglect and greed them being Rocket League , Forza Horizon and sadly now Hill Climb 2 .
Should just play Minecraft till these games die or fix themselves.
Edit: just realized if FS screws this up they will have almost nothing to fall back on.

So true, one time when I was doing a cup the entire lobby was filled with hackers who finished in less than 10 seconds. Which was almost 3 times faster than me. The game is just getting very unfair and boring. I might quit soon

I agree with this. I had 9k gp and it was hard for me to get nitro and all of the modern-game stuff. 1/3 of all time attack maps are being held by nitro.

- things i disagree (1/2):
7) you claim that "new players cannot play the game effectively". This is not always the case. True, like most games, if you dont know what you are doing and dont have a plan, you will end up having a harder time at the start. However, all it takes to solve it, is to have a plan, to have done some research. For HCR2: it's about managing ressources: do you REALLY need multiple un-upgraded vehicles? do you REALLY need lvl 10+ air control part? With smart decisions, you can play better. This is especially true when entering PE for new players: if you do some research before (ex: on youtube), you can prepare the PE better. Is the next PE a wheelie event? Then maybe avoid upgrading the sport car, and invest instead on dune buggy (if you can). I could give more tips, but some of them is about the other points i will discuss next.
8) you seem to complain the game add "cash grabs". However, this is a very common thing to do for ANY F2P game. Main reason being to keep the players in-game while they wait for completely new deals. It's also one of the main ways to support the devs directly. Finally, those cash grabs were in the game for years already, so complaining now is way too late.
9) i'm not sure what you mean by "vehicle blueprints are locked behind a paywall". According to my research, you obtain those blueprints by completing daily tasks (which are free to do). So, you o not pay any real money for them. There is 5 vehicles locked by 250 blueprints each. That's a total of 1 250 blueprints. Each day, a F2P player have 6 tasks (with ads). Each task give 1 base blueprint + 1 extra blueprint with an ad. So each day, you get 12 blueprints. This mean after 21 days, you have 252 blueprints, enough to unlock 1 vehicle. Keep in mind that during those 21 days, you continue getting ressources and/or upgrading your other vehicles. After a bit more than 3 months, you should have enough blueprints to unlock all 5 vehicles. Finaly, i should mention that the blueprints vehicles arent really "game changing" overall. At best, monowheel and snowmobile might help in very specific TE tracks, and other vehicles will just add one more option for TE.
10) I said in 1) that the progression was very tedious because of coins and parts reliance. However, i don't believe the adventure tokens made adventure worse. In fact, i think it made a bit better for new players. Let's recall some facts: during an adventure chest run, you gain 2 tokens / 500m (4 with an ad. Except special maps). Forest adventure map (arguably the easiest adventure map to go far with low-medium GP) is locked behind only 4 tokens. You can check the wiki for token cost for specific maps after that. In total, you need nearly 15 000 tokens to unlock every adventure maps.
Among the "smart decisions" to make, there is this token management. You can either unlock the maps one by one once you have the ressources availible (the "intended" way), or you can keep harvesting tokens while only having easy maps unlocked. I think a smart way is to ONLY unlock forest map, and keeep farming tokens there if possible. With enough map knowlege (can use youtube) and above average vehicle (no need to be max, but it will be easier), it is doable for a medium GP player to reach 10 000m in forest. With the adventure chest, that's 80 tokens (with ad). You would need to do this run around 190 times in total. Let's assume that every day, you can get 2 adventure chests with ad in forest (as far as i'm aware, you can only get 2 ads / day from those chest, even though there is more chests / day), and that you can do 10 000m everytime. In order to farm enough tokens, you would need at least 3 months. It might sound a lot, but during this time, there are a lot of other things you can do to upgrade. Another thing: after 1 month like this, you can earn around 5k tokens, enough to unlock several maps, up to having a total of 14 maps (if we include special maps. Although this mean you have to buy all the cheapest maps). Reminder that there is 20 maps in total, so after 1 month, you can unlock most of them already.
Last thing i will mention: the token system is "better" for new players.
BEFORE: (only star system):
- you are forced to upgrade several cars in order to progess the stars. you can't repeat the same run over and over. Either you beat your own record (and it will often only be a few 100 stars), or you have to change vehicle, which mean the new vehicle neeed to be upgrade enough too (which use lot of ressources)
- you are forced to unlock new maps (the players can't choose), sometimes harder maps, which will give new players more difficulties (ex: forced to play a hard map with very little experience)
AFTER (token system):
- if you are smart, you can limit the maps pool for the aventure chest, allowing you to get the easier maps more often. Note that it will screw players for the key hunt.
- you do not need to improve your record, you only need to drive enough regularly. While going further will improve the rewards, there is no penalty for driving less.
- you do not need to upgrade several vehicles, you only need few vehicles (even with vehicle chests: if you have a limited number of vehicles, it will be easier and wont use lot of ressources)
11) i see you having a very negative opinion about the ads for rewards because "it offer very little". But for me, as long as you are efficient, you can get enough value from ads. And even if you screw up once, as a F2P player, you want to get every advantage you can get. In the long run, it will be worth it. X2 rewards basically means you have half work to do for the same objective. From my exemple on point 10), if you don't watch any ads, you go from playing 3+ months, to playing 6+ months to unlock every maps.
12) "having a forced break ad after EVERY cup" is a little exagerated. For me, the reality is closer to after 3-5 cups (which usually last 1 min each, so that's between 3 and 5 minutes without forced ads), which is MUCH better than certain mobile games that throw a forced ad literally every 30 secs.
13) let's talk about PE. First, a remidner that there is 2 groups of players: those below legend, and those who reached legend. New players playing PE will only play against players who are also below legend rank, and will likely also have limite ressources (although some can intentionally stay here with higher GP). One important thing to learn: getting 10 points everytime isn't always the goal you want. Depending on the saved gems, you can afford to consistently reach a lower place (likee getting 7-8 points), provided you know what you are doing, and did some research. With ads, you get a total of 35 free races / week, which can have their event points doubled with ads (this is equivalent to playing 70 event races).
if you can do at least 6 points everytime, you will get at least 420 event points, enough for 400 points grand prize. And for new players (before legend rank), you don't need crazy skills or upgrades to get 6 points.
if you can do at least 9 points everytime, you will get at least 630 event points, enough for 600 points grand prize. However, it will require good skills and upgrades to consistently get 9 points.
one refill cost 20 gems (was 60 gems before, so yay!), and will esseentially add 8 races worth of event points (with ads).
if you can do at least 8 points everytime with 1 refill, you will get at least 624 points. Getting 8 points should be doable for above average players
if you can do at least 9 points everytime with 3 refills (60 gems cost), you will get at least 846 points, enough for 800 points grand price. If you can spend 80 - 100 gems instead, you would only need to do 7 - 8 points consistently.
Another usefull thing to do for PE is to prepare. RUclips is very usefull for getting lot of informations: track names (to organise information, then decide which tracks you can play or need to skip), favored vehicles (which vehicles appear often in top positions), suggested parts (only visible through direct gameplay, since you cant see parts on leaderboards), top classement goals (time / distance needed to get 9 points. Be sure to prepare some error margin), map traps / obstacles (detailled notes for important obstacles. Like slowing down at specific distance). After this initial investigation done, it's time to compare with your current garage, and determine which important upgrades are worth. Keep in mind that you do NOT need to play every single maps. It's fine to seelect only few maps, and focus on having a good vehicle for these maps. (especially usefull for PE that favors a wide variety of vehicles).
Last thing to note: what to buy from the PE shop? The first thing to check every day is the limited time offer. If you dont want that, SAVE your points for future limite time offers. Do keep in mind that it is possible for the game to offer 1 random legendary part the very 1st day of the event, which cost 100 event points. So either you are a HCR2 god and get 10 x 5 x 2 points, or you will need to buy a refill (or use special tickets, depending on your TE goals). At the last day of the PE, you can spend all the points. I recommend buying at least: epic chest, 5 x 2 random epic parts. If you are low on special tickets and use a lot of them, consider them too. After that, use the remaining points on 10 rare parts and 5 common parts until you have maxed all common / rare parts. If so, buy the coins and/or the scraps. And of course, dont forget the legendary chest from the grand prize.
And to counter these problems all they do is add a new vehicle or a new part and it makes it just more harder for the new players and even for pros

Man Listen, I highly agreed with everything that you have said, especially, the hackers and more importantly the dumb blue prints, for new players to unlock the vehicles. Hcr2 was a golden game back in the day since, they wouldn't add dumb updates and would actually listen community, give out free skins and paints and the fs staff would never ban people fo stupid reasons, they also has op bundles, like green formula, tiger/nikita rally, but now sadly all we get all the stupid bundles, and they used make extremely op vehicles, like cc-ev, rotator, But now we have horrible vehicles, like beast and lowrider which can't do shit and cause extreme pain in adventure and time attack and making parts that completely ruin game like nitro, back then hcr2 made op parts like jump shocks, Overcharged turbo which still carried the game to this day.
But Jerry I hate to break it to you Fingersoft will never listen to us or let all the good things I mentioned happen again.They're been brainwashed buy those dumb dollar bills and bundles.

I am going to play illegal because of this situation.
I used to play the game for many years, playing daily. Around the same time nitro dropped, and before that, i struggled to keep enjoying the game, and contributing to team events. I dropped from CC, bouncing from teams, down the ranks due to inactivity, until i eventually quit entirely. I remember when the game first came out, and Its sad to me to see the game in this position, and to no longer enjoy it. I do agree on the decline of time trial. I used to love time trial, it was the main thing I played. Though over time, my love for it dwindled, and nitro was the nail in the coffin.

Seeing games go downhill feels like a common trend that I hate to see. Used to enjoy hcr, and games like minecraft, and more specifically hypixel skyblock. Also the Pokemon series is a prime example. There are MANY more examples where the game creators feel like they're just getting lazy with it, or ignorant. Imo, Terraria is one of few old games left, that I still truly enjoy, that hasnt gone to shit.
I doubt anyone will read this far, especially seeing as hcr content has died alongside the game, will anyone prove me wrong?
Terraria is a great game because they listen to their players and care about the community, that's why its done so well.

Time and time again, I use Terraria as a reference as for what other games should strive to be.
Minecraft and terraria seem to be the only good games now,also Fortnite.The fact that they are still goated games even after so many years just amazes me,look at hcr2,it survived 4 years on a decent popularity and then went downhill,while Minecraft is 15 fukin years old and still has 2-3 million people playing daily,which is triple the amount of fingersoft's avarage daily players,terraria is a no-brainer,one if the greatest games of all time,Fortnite devs literally add everything they see trendy which is funny but good.
