Great series, thanks for taking the time and effort to make this high quality content. My father and uncle play in a jazz trio focusing on Blue Note covers and I'm currently doing research for the art direction on their next project. Your videos have been very helpful. Thanks again, and don't forget - it must schwing!
Great production on this spotlight, Carlos! His photos were amazing and captured such an important part of the jazz music scene! He definitely was an integral part of what made Blue Note so great!
Congrats ! Sir. For showcasing the persons at the background doing great work and without the work of whom,no Light would have been shed on the artists: Francis wolff, Alfred lion ,Reid Miles, Michael Cuscuna and the unparralelled Sound wizard Rudy Van Gelder who really helped define what is known today as the Blue note sound ,as he would do later with the CTI/ KUDU sound.i grew up here in Senegal ,West Africa, being familiar with these names thanks to the vynil sleeves that we held while listening or recording them on audiotapes. Once again congratulations for the infos.
Yeah, I heard Mosaic sold prints from Michael Cuscuna's because he owned the rights. I was a little too late to this whole vinyl thing, so I wasn't able to get any. That's very cool!
Just found out that Francis Wolff was my grandmother's 2nd cousin! How cool is that! Thank you for the awesome introduction to him. Great photos!
That’s awesome! You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
