This book will help you to understand more about Jesus Christ, His Life and His ministry. Then you can read through the rest of the New Testament from St. Matthew to Revelation. You can also follow a reading plan. To be more clear, I have been praying for years for something very specific and just never gotten this specific thing. It now makes me think all this quite time was made in vein. What's your suggestion to help with this feeling?
The quiet time is a way to connect with God and to develop a relationship. God is not a genie. Sometimes what we are praying for is not in alignment for what He has planned for our lives. Maybe try redirecting your quiet time and see if God might reveal why He “hasn’t answered” the prayer. It could be that He is trying to tell you no, some time later, be still, or that you need to reposition yourself. That’s why it’s important to build that relationship, so you can understand what’s being communicated. Hope this wasn’t offensive at all.
