The faulty controls, the condescendingly superior narration masking itself as shoddy motivation, it’s all put there with the expressed intent of making you FURIOUS. Mark said it best when he beat the game for the first time “this game is amazing in that it makes me incredibly angry, but it’s understandably my fault.” The true challenge isn’t the game itself, it’s getting over the fact that not everything is in your control and you need to accept that, no matter how frustrating it may be.
10:00 - Evidently, the controls are finicky, the climb is vertical with plenty of gaps (so one slip can cost you hours of progress), and the game developer keeps talking in the background. Have also never seen someone play this without bordering on punting their PC by the end. So yes, this game is a nightmare.
