20:20 Um, actually its not just Pokemon Yellow and the Let's Go games. In Pokemon Colosseum you start with an Umbreon and an Espeon, Colloseum XD you start with an Eevee
@@ajsparx4133 Let's Go was the Gen 1 remakes on Switch. (Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu) and i would argue that you do start with a typical starter pokemon in GO because one of the first things you do is catch a charmander bulbasaur or squirtle
Um, actually, to elaborate on the pokemon question further: The question says "Every pokemon game", NOT "Every mainline pokemon game". As such, other pokemon games that do not feature a selection of 3 starters are... pokemon pinball, learn with pokemon: typing adventure, pokemon conquest, pokemon colosseum, every pokemon ranger game, every pokemon mystery dungeon game, etc. I know I didn't correct any mistake made by you, but, as established by a previous episode, being 'more right' is a thing according to nerd law, so I should get a point.
Um, actually, the show has explicitly clarified that adding information without a correction isn't point-worthy. Being "more correct" only counts when the person who initially answered still got something wrong or left out crucial information (e.g. knowing that Spider-Man didn't make a deal with Belial, but not knowing which demon - Mephisto - he _did_ make a deal with).
Um Actually, the chimera created by Shou Tucker from FMA is NOT A PET! It is a transmutated amalgamation of his daughter, Nina, and their pet dog Alexander. While a pet is involved, the chimera created is no one’s pet.

Um, Actually. The lines of Nina are from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and not from Fullmetal Alchemist, as was mentioned. In the Original Fullmetal she talks to her "Big Brother" and reminding Edward that "He Promised that he would play."
This is a correct correction however, the second part is incorrect as she (iirc) did these things prior to the daddy’s hurting line as that is in response to Ed beating the shit out of him.
The lines were taken from when Scar assaulted Shou Tucker, and not the Elric beatdown. Though after the beatdown she did beg them to fulfill their promise to play. I lost a piece of my soul in rewatching the scenes to make sure. You Monsters.

not a correction, but ironically one wall that is an artifact creature in mtg is the Living Wall despite it arguably being one of the most straight up creature like
When it was "Summon" for creature cards, it made a bit more sense. Because one would just summon a wall. When they changed them to say "Creature" instead is when it became truly disjointed, and Living Wall was "built" from various biological parts, which is a type of construction.
um actually, Nina is not a pet. Before transformation she was Shou Tucker's daughter and after it Tucker was immediately arrested so there was not enough time in between to even begin to refer to him as Nina's owner.

you either hate ninas sound because you don't know the context but it seems horrific, or you hate ninas sound because you know the context makes it 10 times more terrible than it sounds
Or you just don't recognize what it's supposed to be, because you stopped watching dubbed things in your teens.
I think they should start an offshoot of these called TIE Breakers where they get the people that have tied on previous episodes and pit them against each other on even more in-depth nerd trivia maybe even base the questions off of the questions from the episode they tied in
The face that I had to listen to the unspoken scene from FMA over and over makes my heart hurt.
I realized what it was the second time you played it. And I hate you for making me relive that horrible moment. Thanks, um, actually... you monsters
20:20 Um, actually its not just Pokemon Yellow and the Let's Go games. In Pokemon Colosseum you start with an Umbreon and an Espeon, Colloseum XD you start with an Eevee
Plus Pokémon Go, technically (never heard of Let's Go, is that what th e mobile game is called fully?)
@@killroy458 oh jeez I had forgotten that was like a training thing. My bad, and I can't even assign points for it
I have NEVER been so upset as to hear Nina’s voice I never expected to hear it here! 😂
I love how Jessica gets so happy when someone gets some point
Um actually At 3:35 when talking about Ferengi and business Trapp calls it Star Wars...
Quietly working and listening to the show when I hear Nina Tucker and shouted "OH MY GOD".
When they played the chimera sound my draw litterally dropped and I knew exactly what the sound was....thanks for unearthing those memories lol
Not to be dramatic but the moment I heard “daddy’s hurting”, I screamed “no!” and started crying 😭
18:50 How dare you use that sound Trap, you sick Troglodyte!
May Hastur feast heartily on your madness!
You even played it Thrice!
I don't remember the exact title but it's something like pokemon rescue blue on the Gameboy you do a quiz and become a pokemon
Pokemon Go
"hum, actually" Pokemon mystery dungeon does feature starter choices...
@@neckela7097 Does it feature a selection of 3 starter choices? No, it does not.
19:00 Y'ALL SHOULD GO TO JAIL FOR THAT!!!
Um Actually, did you say there were scenes in Star Wars of Ferengi having their ears rubbed? Because that isn't right.
"I didn't know Discworld was a thing."
INSTANT DISQUALIFICATION!
When they did the courage sounds I instinctively said “The things I do for love” and accidentally timed it exactly with when she did it
That FMA soundbite...strong visceral reaction even still.
I may or may not have screeched when John appeared on screen… despite having his name in the title
Um Actually, the chimera created by Shou Tucker from FMA is NOT A PET! It is a transmutated amalgamation of his daughter, Nina, and their pet dog Alexander.
While a pet is involved, the chimera created is no one’s pet.
Collectively the world will never get over the Nina scene. It will forever be traumatizing for everyone in the know
15:37 Now I'm imagining her suplexing someone right onto a landmine, blowing them into debris. She stands upright, completely unharmed by the explosion, like a terminator.
"From the Critic to Riddick ..."
Contestant guessing wrong: "It stinks!"
That's right Danish Guy. Everything stinks.
THE LAST PET NOISE HOW DARE YOU! XD
I was literally drifting off to sleep in full darkness when they played that Fullmetal Alchemist line multiple times I’m going to cRY
Did anyone else cry a little inside when TJ said "I didn't even know discworld was a thing!"?
Right?!? Neither does my hot girl friend in Canada... but I've already explained it so many times...can you explain what the hell that is to her? I'm positive she'll read this comment and replies.
Was honestly wondering how you even get on this show with a line like that, though not like I've ever got a wrestling question
Seeing one of my favorite musicians on one of my favorite shows is such a great time.
When you added the chimera sound, I was like you guys are sick! lol
@@Illiastar Ah, okay, I knew someone beat his ass.
Are we really counting Nina as a pet? She was fused with Alexander but she’s still his daughter. Shou being a monster doesn’t mean we have to be.
Points
Just want to celebrate that I guessed T2 off the second level of pixelation. I'm sure there are many who got it at level one. Well done to those glorious nerds.
Thank you for bringing some badly worked through trauma back in to my life... damn it
not a correction, but ironically one wall that is an artifact creature in mtg is the Living Wall despite it arguably being one of the most straight up creature like
When it was "Summon" for creature cards, it made a bit more sense. Because one would just summon a wall. When they changed them to say "Creature" instead is when it became truly disjointed, and Living Wall was "built" from various biological parts, which is a type of construction.
i am FASCINATED by trapp's tie. it looks like a very long silicon keyboard cover
I was not expecting John Darnielle to ask a guest question on this show omg lol
um actually, Nina is not a pet. Before transformation she was Shou Tucker's daughter and after it Tucker was immediately arrested so there was not enough time in between to even begin to refer to him as Nina's owner.
That FMA soundbite was even more painful without the context. Ooouuuch, my heart. That third time they played it really was too much, my chest was clenching and my eyes watering.
Um actually, none of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games allow you a choice of three Pokemon. The minimum is five in PMD: Gates to Infinity, with more than twenty possible choices at most.
The absolute horror that dawned on me the final time they played that FMA clip and it clicked what it was
Um actually, the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games also don't let you choose from 3 starter pokemon (they assign you a starter out of all existing starters and some non-starters based on a quiz), the Pokepark games and Pokemon Rumble start you with Pikachu, XD Gale of Darkness starts you with Eevee, and the Ranger games and Pokemon Snap don't give you any pokemon including starters.
