Jesus & Santa Are White - Megyn Kelly On Fox News

  • "Fox News host Megyn Kelly on Wednesday assured children viewing her program that both Jesus Christ and Santa Claus were white men even though some liberals were trying to make them black. In a column for Slate earlier this week, Aisha Harris wrote that she had always been confused as a child because the Santa in her home had brown skin like her, but the Santa in malls and on television was always white. So Harris made the case "that America abandon Santa-as-fat-old-white-man" and adopt a penguin in his place...".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

Since I am not American can someone please explaine to me how come FOX is considered to be a news chanel, because in Europe and most of the world the reporters are not allowed to say something that is not a fact or is based on their own opinion. This reminds me of a trashy cheap talk show. :/

@Laura Hackstein Santa Claus is based on a real person, St. Nicholas, who lived in today's Turkey and was not white. So why did they choose Rovaniemi as fictional home of Santa?

      @goranmilic442 4 года назад +5

@Laura Hackstein I agree with your first three sentences. I don't understand why did you insult me in next ones. Santa Claus is fictional, based on St. Nicholas, and they made him white because they're bunch of racists. You're probably going to say, since Santa is fictional, they could have made him of any color they wanted, but, since he's based on a real person, why did they change his color? They had a problem with black skin?

Jesus' real name (if the reports are to be believed) would basically be transliterated into English directly from Hebrew and Aramaic as "Yehoshua ben Yosef". If Jesus came back today nigga wouldn't make it through airport TSA security. A swarthy Middle Eastern guy with hair like wool and brass-colored skin (Book of Revelations), a pretty Middle Eastern-sounding name, and a beard (he likely had a beard as was the custom of Jewish rabbis back then), talking about throwing out money-changers (bankers) and spreading the wealth around the community to anyone in need? Aw hell naw! He'd detained in Guantanamo Bay by the end of the hour.

***** - While there are indeed Ethiopian Jews, similar to Ashkenazim and Sephardim Jews, they're a group that came about from the original Hebrews expanding out and intermixing with other ethnic groups. Ethiopians are related to Semitic people but are themselves non-Semitic. Ethiopians are most closely related to Somalis, Egyptians and Sudanese Nubians (who of course aren't Semites either). The Ethiopian language, however, is Semitic. Biblical Hebrews are most closely related to Bedouins and Middle Eastern Arabs.
Mizrahim Jews are the closest group to the original Hebrews. Mizrahi includes descendants of the Hebrews and people who are descendants of Hebrews mixing with neighboring Arabs and West Asians. A lot of modern-day Palestinians are descendants of the Biblical Hebrews. Most have simply either converted to Christianity or Islam over the centuries or mixed with Jordanian Arab neighbors.

    • @A86
      @A86 10 лет назад

Venefica82 - If nothing else I'll always give credit to the ruling class that they somehow managed to turn a faith/religion with an obviously quasi-communistic founder into a religion that is considered a divine endorsement for Laissez-Faire Capitalism.. The invention of the "Protestant Ethic" as an endorsement of capitalism and hyper-individualism from Jesus is one of the biggest and most successful switcheroos in written human history.

    • @A86
      @A86 10 лет назад

***** - Agree with the first point.
The second point, no. There's no evidence that the original Hebrews were Ethiopian. They even refer to Ethiopians (Midianites) as a separate people. Hebrews come from the Cohen Gene Haplogroup closely related to Arabs whereas Ethiopians come from a different but related E1b strand.
      Agree with the third point.
Fourth point, southern Sudanese are actually a Nilotic/Nilo-Saharan people. They're native to the region that's now Chad, east Sudan and northern Ethiopia. Modern Cushitic Ethiopians are descendants of people who moved northward from southern Ethiopia and northern Kenya.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nilotic
They're not related to West Africans. West Africans are from the Niger-Congo ethnic strand.

That's funny. Because Jesus was not White. In fact the image of Jesus portrayed today has been established after the death of Cesare Borgia, the son of Rodrigo Borgia. Rodrigo was the Pope at the time during the 15th century, if my history is correct. During this time, the church was so formidable politically, that it had much influence in how things were to be received. Jesus, like most everyone else in the Middle East, had dark skin; a bronze-ish hue. and his hair was like wool. In fact, Jesus was not anything special to look at. He had no majesty about him at all. He looked like his disciples. Why do you think Judas had to distinguish Him from the others by kissing Him? How ironic is it that Megyn is so against the possibility of a Black or Penguin Santa, when she is most comfortable with a White Jesus, when it is factually not true, and has been changed to make others feel comfortable too!

TheStrawbeery You say Jesus, Muslims say Mohammad, potEto potato,
It's all bullshit, and yes Jesus is on par with Zeus, as people of ancient greece whole heart-idly believed he was real,
also do you know who Dionysus, you probably don't because you probably have never taken ancient theology at a university, He was called the messiah well before the jesus myth came around and copied it,
Anyways, Dionysus was born on December 25 to a virgin women in a manger, He was a traveling teacher who performed miracles. He “rode in a triumphal procession on an ass.” He was a sacred king killed and eaten in an eucharistic ritual for fecundity and purification. Dionysus rose from the dead on March 25. He was the God of the Vine, and turned water into wine. He was called “King of Kings” and “God of Gods.” He was considered the “Only Begotten Son,” Savior,” “Redeemer,” “Sin Bearer,” Anointed One,” and the “Alpha and Omega.” He was identified with the Ram or Lamb. His sacrificial title of “Dendrites” or “Young Man of the Tree” intimates he was hung on a tree or crucified.

@Christopher Martin even the guy in this video proves that Jesus was middle eastern, but nobody seems to care. It’s all self centered “he was black because I’m black” or “he was white because I’m white”. I’m literally reporting on facts. You say I’m white based on absolutely no evidence. And you call me an enemy for some reason too. Everything is some big war to you for some reason beyond my understanding. Grow up.

Unfortunately I know that first hand, I live with my older brother and his wife and her adult son, and FOX news is the only news show they watch! And they believe everything they say! I'm the only non conservative in my family! Though both my parents were more like me, but they are both gone, so its just me and my two older brothers! And one is totally conservative, the one with the wife, and the other just doesn't really understand that the conservatives aren't on the side of the poor and he's also a racist, so he votes for them now because he sees them as being more like him! He used to vote for democrats, like my dad did, but now he listens too much to my other brother and his wife and son! Even though he struggles with money and hates the rich, he doesn't seem to understand that the democrats are the ones who can help him, not the conservatives! And yes living with a bunch of FOX News worshipers is scary shit! I even had to fake being one, just to get along with them! But I block them on my social sites, so they don't know how I really feel! Me I have always been one to look at all the facts about anything, and not just go by one site or one set of peoples opinions! From what I have witnessed first hand, from my family, is conservatives only listen to another conservatives opinion, no one else's!

Clara Johnson I work in a neighborhood and at a place where the people are avid Republicans and FOX News watchers and I totally agree with you. They only talk to each other and live in a bubble. A lot of them are prejudice, angry, envious, and fearful. I'm an Independent but I get along with them because I accept them as they are. Their facts may be wrong (in my opinion) about a lot of things but their feelings are real and I acknowledge them. There's a saying where I'm from "what you eat doesn't make me shit," lol. And that's how I live my life. I can only imagine how it must feel to wake up everyday and walk around with such negativity 24/7. Hopefully you'll get your own place if possible where you can be yourself and get away from the negativity. Best wishes....

And it is important to discuss things like Religion, Race, or Politics on You Tube or My Space or FB. It is when we do not discuss them that we wind up in trouble with our religion being taken from us as racist, or even this, a black Jesus or Santa? If no one defends or debates we have nothing but chaos, the kind of chaos stuff like this in the media starts.

Now, Santa wasn't just based on St. Nicholas, he was also based on different versions of father Christmas from many different European countries. Currently his white image represents the majority of the Americans right now, so I don't really see a white Santa doing much harm, but neither does a black Santa.
What REALLY shocks me about this is the idea the Jesus is white. Christians can plead ignorant of the Turkish St Nicholas, but white Jesus? REALLY? Christians KNOW that Jesus was a JEW from the middle east! They really have no excuse.

Jesus is a fictional character. Don't be foolish. You having faith in his existence does not make it a fact. And of course if you had any shred of critical thinking, you'd recognize that the story of Jesus has actually never been proven to by true and makes Harry Potter like claims.

Santa is White, because that is how his Character was created. White, Fat, Rosy Cheeks, Red & White suit, and flies around on reindeer. Jesus was white because that is how his physical appearance was and is recorded in ancient Hebrew Texts from Jewish Priests that were living among him at the time he was on earth. As a matter of fact it is those very descriptions of him that were recorded in Hebrew texts that our image of Jesus is based on to this very day. The long hair, beard, slightly rosy complextion etc...

Don't get caught up in color. They're evil, and good people in every nation, tribe, and tongue.
What is olived-skin? I here this all the time. But it is not true. Olives are either green when unripe, or very dark, like black, when ripe. Since no one is green, then we have to say very dark skin, like black, is true olive skin.
Besides, skin color God doesn't judge, He judges your hearts. Is your heart truly for Him, or for the devil, this world, and the riches of this world?
Jehovah God, You are a great Father.Thank You for your Son, Yeshua Ha Massiach (Jesus The Messiah)
    Jesus is our Living Passover.
Acts Chapter 4 verse 12: " There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved."
Isaiah 9 vs. 6, " For unto us a Child is born. Unto us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. "
Who is Christ? Who is Jesus?
    Born of a virgin, Mary.
Matthew Chapter 1 verse 20: " behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him (Joseph), in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that (Christ)which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus, the Christ, is God's word made flesh. Jesus is Jehovah God's (The Creator's) Word made into flesh.
1 John chapter 5 verse 7: " For there are three that bear a record in heaven, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one."
John chapter 1 verse 1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John chapter 1 verse 14: " And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
John chapter 1 verse 10: " He was in the world, and the world knew Him not."
Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12: " For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
How beautiful and awesome is God's Word, who is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, magnificent in all His glory, is He. Amen!
John's Vision Of Christ Seated On His Throne In Heaven:
Revelation chapter 4 verse 2 to 3: " Immediately, I (John), was in the Spirit, and behold a throne sat in Heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance, and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald."
Why did Christ Jesus came and sacrificed His precious life for sinners like us?
Christ (God's Word made into flesh), came because through flesh (Adam's flesh) sin entered the world, and then because of sin death entered the whole earth. Through flesh(Jesus Christ's flesh), the earth will be saved, sin is destroyed, and the curse of death shall be broken, death and the grave shall be cast into hell.
Christ, who is God's Word made into flesh, sacrificed His life for us. He was crucified for our sins and transgressions.
Christ died, and on the third day He resurrected in the flesh, conquering death and the grave. Now, Christ is seated in Heaven, at the right hand of Power(God). Through Christ's sacrifice we gain Salvation through God's abundant mercy and grace. We are reconciled and recompensed back to God, through the shed blood of His beloved Son Christ Jesus.
John chapter 3 verse 16: " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
Romans chapter 5 verse 8: " But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Christ came to undo the sin and eternal death brought upon the world through the sin of Adam.
Death in Adam, Life In Christ:
Romans chapter 5 verse 19: " For as by one man's disobedience(Adam), many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience(Jesus) , many will be made righteous."
Romans chapter 5 verse 18: " Therefore, as through one man's (Adam's) offense, judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even through one Man's (Christ's) righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in the justification of life."
Romans chapter 5 verse 17: " For if by the one man's offense(Adam's offense), death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in the life through the One(Jesus Christ).
Romans chapter 5 verse 12: " Therefore, just as through one man (Adam), sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned."
Romans chapter 5 verse 21: " "So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Do you now see that through Adam, sin and death entered the world, so that is why Christ Jesus came to give life, and give it more abundantly? Yes, Christ came to give eternal life through Salvation.
Adam's flesh brought sin, death, destruction, and condemnation.
1 Corinthians 15 : 21-22, "For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ, all shall be made alive."
Christ's sacrifice, the crucifixtion of His flesh, brings reconciliation of sins, life, resurrection, eternal life, salvation
Christ is coming back again, not as a sacrificial lamb. He is coming back as a roaring, waring lion, to destroy sin, death, and the grave once and for all. Amen! Amen! Hallelujah!
Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 to 13: " And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. "
Now do you see friends, Why Christ Jesus is so Important for our Salvation? Yes.
Now, do you understand why there is only one way to God, and that is only through Christ Jesus? Yes.
Christ is Salvation. Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Christ is the only way to God. Christ is the only Mediator between God and men(us humans).
God loves us so much, He does not want anyone to perish in hell. God wants all sinners to be saved. That is why He sent His Word to save the world. God's Word became flesh, and dwelt among us to save us.
Will you accept Christ and be saved?
Romans chapter 6 verse 23: " For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
John Chapter 3 verse 16: " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
    Salvation is free!
Christ already paid the price, all you have to do is receive salvation through acceptance of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach, repent of your sins, and keep His commands.
    So who is Christ?
He is The Word Of God. He is the Son of God. He is God. He is the image of the invisible God. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is the Great I Am. He is Emmanuel. He is The Christ. He is The Messiah. He is The Creator. He is our Lord and Saviour. He is our Mediator. He is the Lion and the Lamb. He is Salvation. He is the way, the truth, and life. He is The Rock. Amen! I love you Lord!
God created the heavens and the earth with His spoken Word. Did you know, that Jesus is that Word, through which all things were created? Yes.
John chapter 14 verse 6: " Jesus said to him," I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
    Colassians chapter 1 verse 15 to 16:
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven, and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him."
    John chapter 1 verse 1 to 4:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."
I hope that you know Christ, and understand Christ better now, to the glory of God. Amen!
Christ is for all who will receive Him.
This is how our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said we should pray. Matthew chapter 6 verse 9 to 13:
"Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
Now that you understand who Christ is, share Christ with others. Amen!
Repent of your sins. Sin no more! Be baptized in Jesus Name.
    Submit to Jehovah-God.
Love God with all your heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. Keep God's Commandments. Love one another.
Forgive one another. It is written, "resist the devil, submit to God, and the devil will flee from you."
Hate sin with all your heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit.
Only Jesus The Christ, can baptize you with God's Holy Spirit. Only Christ can give you The Holy Spirit, and the Gifts of The Spirit.
Acts 11 vs. 15 to 16, " And as I began to speak, The Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, "John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
Read Exodus Chapter 20, The 10 Commandments of God.
Share the Gospel of Christ with others.

    I have a few points.
1.) If it's racist to want Santa to be white, it's also racist to want him to not be white. The people who want Santa to not be white care just as much about his race as the people who want him to be white.
2.) This is only an issue because adults insist on lying to their kids about Santa. If kids believe that Santa Claus is real, they're going to be confused as to why he's black sometimes, and why he's Arab sometimes. If, instead of lying to children, we just tell them about Santa Claus as a fun story, kids can still enjoy Santa while understanding that he's a fictional character, and that different people have different interpretations of the character. That way, everyone can depict Santa however they like without stepping on anyone else's toes.
3.) Jesus was NOT a historical figure, as Megyn Kelly claims. We don't know for sure whether or not Jesus actually existed. The most damning evidence against him having existed is the fact that there are no writings about Jesus from the time he supposedly walked the earth. All of the writings about Jesus are from after he apparently died, and, according to the Christian story, resurrected and went back to Heaven. It seems odd that none of Jesus' followers, who believed they were hanging out with a living god, and who supposedly witnessed this living god perform miracles, thought that any of that was worth writing down during the time that it was happening. Also damning is the fact that there is no Book of Jesus in the Bible. It seems odd that the founder of Christianity had nothing to say about his own religion.

YOU: If it's racist to want Santa to be white, it's also racist to want him to not be white. ME: ummm, its more about FACTS and how those lilttle details can be over looked. St Nicholcas, whom SINTER CLAUS and SANTA CLAUS is based, IS FROM TURKEY and most definitely not white. Same with Jesus! If there was a man, his name was not Jesus because the letter "J" did not exist, HOWEVER, if he did exist, HE WOULD NOT BE WHITE EITHER. pc blob look back into the 1800s and you have an incredibly large amount of charities in America. Different charities in hundreds of different towns for the poor. Usually created by the citizens and not some business. Nowadays, we don't do that because we feel that our money is being taken from us anyways and that they can get it from the government... which they most certainly aren't. Let us keep our money then not only would there be less people NEEDING charity but more people giving charity.

Putting Jesus in the same category as Santa is naive to say the least. There are actual historical evidence of Jesus being a living human, but not for Santa Clause. Not only that, everyone knows Santa isn't real, except for the children who are told he is. Jesus' apostles were all real people who knew him for many years, and ate with him for many days after his death. It is possible for someone to die holding onto a lie they know is false, but for a whole group to do so when the majority of people are against them, never happens.

You talk about jesus as if he was real .No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artefacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus came well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. All sources about Jesus derive from hearsay accounts. Hearsay means information derived from other people rather than on a witness' own knowledge. Courts of law do not generally allow hearsay as testimony, and nor does honest modern scholarship. Hearsay does not provide good evidence, and therefore, we should dismiss it. Please don’t let fear of ridicule hold you back from showing your evidence for his existence !!!

solomon 1-5 in the bible tells what the people of the area are:
I am very dark, but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon.
    Christians white washed histrory.
Its one of the many way too specific details not to be based on a real person, as an atheist i would put money on someone one day will find a sphinx in or around jerusalem. One thing i have learned, romans tended to be dark skinned but the rulers tended to be white. , arabs were much darker skin, and greeks/caananites mixture olive etc.
One great thing about being atheist we demand evidence and we understand the evidence and we dont try to foist belief onto it. The evidence is clear, most of the leaders were north african in origin, Egypt was certainly north african and as the songs etc go, so were most of the kings of the time, and we have an abundance of statues to show this.

Simmons From Wales Modern Christianity borrowed from many other ancient religions. Slaves had their own religions before being brought to America and African Americans were forced to adapt because they were punished for practicing their own. The modern interpretations of the Bible definitely favors whites and it's full of historical inaccuracies. On top of that, you have people misinterpreting scripture and cherry picking what they want to follow and it's turned the whole religion into BS.

not exactly identical, but close. Arabs originate from southern part of Arabian Peninsula, and then they came all over middle east and north africa and mixed with everybody ( kill men, rape women ) , southern part of that peninsula was mostly black, so they all mixed together. So it is most likely that people over there were a bit lighter then now, but of course not blond hair/blue eyes.

***** Wrong. Coca-Cola got their idea from drawings done by Clement Clark Moore in "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (1822). His character had a scarlet robe and white beard and came from a cross between a local Dutch handyman he knew while taking a shopping trip on a sleigh and Saint Nicholas, who was actually just a religion figure. Coca-Cola then hired an illustrator named Haddon Sundblom (Swedish-American) in the early 1930's who created a series of drawings and was used as a marketing campaign.

Cole444Train Actually the distinction between black/yellow/white is arbitrary. My argument is that we are actually different shades. I used to believe in "race" but now realise it was made up by Colonial Americans to justify discrimination. Like the UK's Class or India's Caste.

The time-period in question is not only well after the Indoeuropean ('IE', hereafter) migrations, but before the Arab conquests. Before the IE migrations, the near East was populated by a group we call 'Neolithic Farmers' ('NE", hereafter) (relevant genetic details of both IE and NF are below). As a result, the genetic composition of the near East during this time would have been composed, primarily, of NE, but with substantial contribution from IE as well. While NE left the steppe before light eyes and hair, and lactose-tolerance had become prevalent in the source population, most or all of the other traits we associate with the European (or, lol, 'white'), phenotype were already present, so the NF populations would have basically looked like modern Europeans, but with very low rates of light hair and eyes (to see what they looked like, we can just take a look at modern Sardinians, although modern Sardinians may actually look slightly less-"white", as a result of tiny amounts of genetic contribution resulting from the Arab occupation of the island in the middle-ages). However, by the time of Christ, IE had expanded significantly in the area through a variety of migrations, with the entire region having been controlled for most of the previous half-millennium, by the Persians, Greeks, or Romans, all of which are IE and would have looked very similar to modern Europeans. Hence, Christ would have likely appeared even more "white" than NF did. In other words, the most likely scenario is that modern people would unquestionably identify Christ as "white", unless he looked significantly different from the people who lived around him or who had lived in the region as far back as we have genetic evidence to determine. Further explanation of why this is the case is below¹:
In the late bronze age / early iron age, IE migrated out of the steppe and into Europe, the near-East, Persia, the Tarim Basin, and India, but it is also well after the IE conquests of the near East-the first unquestionably Aryan group to control the entire region would have been the Medes and Achaemenid, with the Medes coming first, but both groups moving into the region together and sharing an IE language and culture). Before that, the Hittites and Greeks, both IE groups, had interacted with, populated, or controlled parts of the near East as well, and even before that, there is evidence of a kind of IE aristocracy controlling many of the post-Sumerian empires and as far back as the beginning of dynastic Egypt (in fact, the two seem to correlate in the case of Egypt).
However, even if that were not the case, the peoples who populated the region before the IE migrations were NF, which were part of the same group that IE came from, but left earlier (before admixture from Eastern Hunter-Gatherer (EHG) gave them higher rates of light hair, admixture from Western Hutner-Gatherer (WHG) gave them light eyes, or before they evolved lactose-tolerance, but after the evolution of 𝙎𝙇𝘾𝟮𝟰𝘼𝟱, which is the primary gene responsible for European skin color (see below), with NF being the first people to bring this gene into Western Europe, though it isn't far-fetched to think that genes with similar effects may have existed in WHG, considering the selection pressure towards genes which produce lighter skin all over higher latitudes). Nonetheless, the modern population to which ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians are most similar is Sardinia², who cluster with modern Europeans, and not with people who currently live in the near East. It is also worth noting that IE, NF, WHG, and EHG, all came from the same source group on the Pontic-Caspian steppe, with WHG leaving much earlier and moving into Western Europe, only to be later out-populated by NF, who were subsequently displaced and interbred with IE (at least NF females did, the males didn't make it for the most part, judging by the overwhelming preponderance of R-haplogroups almost everywhere IE went), with IE deriving largely from EHG, and the combination of these groups, mostly IE and NF, which is primarily due to the relative population sizes, forms the modern European's genome.
𝒊. 𝙎𝙇𝘾𝟮𝟰𝘼𝟱: 𝘕𝘍 residing in the near-East and much of N. Africa had the gene (𝘚𝘓𝘊𝟤𝟦𝘈𝟧) primarily responsible for light skin in modern Europeans, and, in fact, modern genetic analysis suggests that it was these 𝘕𝘍 who first brought the gene into Europe, or, at least, Western Europe. The 𝘐𝘌, who left the Pontic steppe much later, also had this same gene-thus, we can infer that 𝘕𝘍 and 𝘐𝘌, prior to 𝘕𝘍 emigrating from the Pontic steppe, were the same group of people (or, at least, that 𝘕𝘍 has substantial ancestry from this group). While 𝘚𝘓𝘊𝟦𝟧𝘈𝟤, which may be related to modern European skin-tone, was likely not present in 𝘕𝘍, 𝘚𝘓𝘊𝟦𝟧𝘈𝟤 isn't ubiquitous in modern Europeans. So, while there may have been a tendency for 𝘐𝘌 to have slightly lighter skin tone (or perhaps slightly ruddier) than 𝘕𝘍 on average, the reliability of its use as a proxy was probably fairly low, with 𝘕𝘍's skin tone being extremely similar to the skin tone being sexually selected for in 𝘐𝘌 populations, and because the prevalence of 𝘐𝘌 y-DNA haplogroups in Europe far exceeds 𝘐𝘌's mDNA prevalence, and 𝘐𝘌's, still substantial, autosomal contribution in modern Europeans, we can infer that selection pressures, natural or sexual, in Europe, did not preclude 𝘕𝘍's survival in what was likely an 𝘐𝘌-dominated culture. Other traits, such as light eyes and hair³, while not universal in 𝘐𝘌, and possibly still less-prevalent than their dark counterparts, would have likely been more distinguishing.
𝒊𝒊. 𝘼𝙐𝙏𝙊𝙎𝙊𝙈𝘼𝙇 𝘾𝙇𝙐𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙂: Modern autosomal analysis shows 𝘕𝘍 as being nearly identical with the modern Sardinian population and clustering on the same line with other European groups, parallel to, and clearly separated from, the line on which modern near-Eastern populations cluster (this is likely the result of admixture from another component found in modern near-Eastern populations, which was introduced with the Arab invasions, and modern sub-populations in the near-East, e.g., Lebanese Christians, which cluster must more closely with modern Europeans than the Lebanese Mohammedans, also have skin-tones which are more similar to modern Europeans).
    ________________________________________________
¹ To be fair, I should also note that much of the information on which I rely either didn't exist or wasn't available at the time this video was posted.
² For another very interesting group that likely reflects the early appearance and genetic makeup of people in the region (likely North Africa in this case, though they would have been from the same or similar stock), look up the Guanches , who were the original inhabitants of the Canary Islands. Unfortunately, after the Spanish discovery and conquest, many of the Guanches died, and the modern population reflects substantial admixture from mainland Europe and other regions, because, unlike Sardinia, the Guanches had only very primitive technology and a relatively small starting population when they came into contact with the Spanish.
³ Blonde hair, having arisen in the eastern hunter-gather populations, which were likely ancestral to 𝘐𝘌, and, I believe, which we've identified in ancient 𝘐𝘌 DNA, was present, but I'm not sure when red hair arose and whether it would have possibly been present in both 𝘐𝘌 and 𝘕𝘍.

Well, Santa Clause the character *IS* white. St. Nicholas was Mediterranean. I mean like, just because Santa Clause is based off of someone doesn't mean that he has to be exactly the same. Also, he's a character who is definitely open to interpretation-- so what harm is it to make him black?
As for Jesus being white; No. No, no, no. Firstly, there's no proof he even existed. Secondly, if he did exist, he would've been pretty brown.

That's absurd, there's no objectively correct or incorrect way of spelling a name, there's only traditional and unconventional. I could be Ryk Dhaivyd if I wanted, even if I were the first person to spell it that way it wouldn't be wrong.
Some people seem to forget that we make these things up - we only have correct and incorrect spellings for regular words to simplify the matter, it's not like the words exist in some absolute form.

This can go both ways. Some black children COULD be offended that they don't have a black santa. But at the same time she was saying that toward white children growing up believing santa is white. This would put white children in the same position. So really the argument is nonsense either way.

It may have made her uncomfortable, but it is not like the Government made up Santa. Santa was created by a Cartoonist, and the cartoonist made Santa white. Im sure the Cartoonist did not know that Santa clause was gonna become an Icon for christmas for the rest of time.... My point is that Santa is just a cartoon, You can't go around changing everything on this world to make everybody comfortable... If him being white really makes her that uncomfortable, then most likely she is just a racist. Because I dont even look at skin color. I almost feel stupid debating about the color of a cartoon characters skin... Weird world we live in, with weird priorities... People starving around the world, dying of diseases and we got so much freetime to debate if santa was white or black or what the freak ever..... sigh
