Great review, your information is so complete -- everything I need to know about One Power Readers. Good value for money, but they really should be honest about the actual power. You rock!
Hello Jeff, I am a 2,5 reader and like to think that I didn't make a mistake by buying them. Since I'm always looking around for my specs, this one additional pair will come in handy. Usually, I always check the reviews before I purchase anything, but this one time I listened to my hubby and just clicked buy. We'll see when the glasses arrive and will get back to leave a comment.

I called the number for customer service and the line is always busy. I emailed with no response. My experience advice is to do not purchase because there is no contact on any refunds when you return the product.
I finally got a response in my email of my refund, but it was not the amount that I paid. The customer service line was still busy and the email is unavailable.
My grade is 150 & I find these readers beneficial better than my own prescription. I love the spring hinge for comfort. The only negative is the plastic used. They are not durable. It breaks on the rim and hinge areas. All 5 pairs I bought are now broken.
Those readers you showed were the high priced spread name brands. More generic readers are a lot cheaper than those Foster Grants. You can even buy a 3 pack for like 15 dollars. I have them spread all over my house so a pair is always within arms reach.
Nice review, When I first using my eye glasses I have same thought as you. But never dig further to know better about glasses. Nice video thanks for sharing.
They make bifocal contact lenses which work with concentric rings of different powers. You're eye naturally finds how to focus through them. I wore them for a while and they actually work. I had to give up contact lenses though, because of too many days of discomfort due to dust under the lens. I wonder of the One Power reading glasses work the same and your local optometrist just didn't know what they were looking at. Finally, if your close vision isn't enough to test the One Power glasses, why didn't you get others to try them?
I bought these,,,,,I can say they do work,,,,as I move my head slightly up or down there is definitely a difference in power,,,,,so there,,,,,I actually like them
Thank you for sharing. I am wearing a customized bifocal (astigmatism 250, sorry I didn't memorize the grade of the reading lens) and last week I also bought a pair of these glasses. I am surprised that your measurements at your optical shop comes up with 2.5, I thought it is only .5 or 1.0 because they are not as powerful as my customized bifocal at a viewing distance of 6 inches to 1 feet. However, they are very good when I use it for working on my laptop, or watching movies (during off hours) inside my work cubicle at distances of about 2 feet to 6 feet. Compared to my customized bifocals, it is more comfortable and makes me more productive because I have the whole lens for short distance viewing. Therefore, now I have one at my small work cubicle and another in my small living room for watching movies. I am surprise by the number of complaints. Probably this product should be advertised to middle aged people (like me) who are wearing bifocals or those using reading glasses of grades 1.0 and above. For us, this product is a blessing!
I don't usually comment on RUclips. However, I bought a pair of these glasses and am very happy I did. They just seem to work for me. So far I am impressed. Perhaps, I will feel differently tomorrow, but so far so very good.
Before spending even $15 on these check the dollar store also pharmacies charge more money for readers check at Walmart if you don't like what's available at the dollar store
you can buy reading glasses anywhere from 1 + to 3.5+ at Walmart in the Pharmacy dept. but if you need something stronger you have to buy them on line. i bought some 5+ reading for 13 dollars. if you need prescription glasses go to an eye dr. get your prescription and then order them on line pay 38 dollars vs 3 to 5 hundred for ones at the eye doctor. what a great saving.
Or go to Winners/TJ maxx and buy a 3 pack for 7.99 But don't go just before me and clear out their stock. Thanks for checking with the optometrist for us
How about the fine prints, even with my prescription glass I cant see the fine prints, I use the magnifying glass you hold with your hands, but they are too awkward to hold whne reading

For me, are better than the ones that I bought at Dollar Tree for $1. Actually somebody gift me the One Power and fit very good my face and I can stay with them during the day. Not like the others, that I can use only for read. However , this lenses are good.
Thank you Jeff, for the review. Since you do not require reading glasses you couldn't have known this. Readers let you see close but are ridiculous when you look up at something more a yard away. These One Power Readers somehow let you look up after reading and everything is still in focus. I don't know how they can do this and no readers from other sources allow you to see distance so clearly. Only progressive lenses do this and I wear progressives. The magic is how the eye doctor said they are entirely 2.5s yet I have a pair that is for distance at 2.5 and can't see both near and distance with them. With these One Powers you can.
Hi Mate & thanks for this review... i was indeed intrigued by the ad and wanted to know more about these glasses. Here in Italy they sell on line for 49.99 Eur (approx 55 USD) and based on what you reported this sounds like a real fraud to me. Thanks indeed...
I have five pairs of these readers and I love them. I have readers in many strengths and they are all over my house so I can always have a pair handy. One of the reasons I love these readers is because I can wear them when shopping and see where I am going yet see prices when I look close up. They are made of quality glass that does not distort things I see. I know nothing about the technology of them being 2.5 readers all over but when I wear them I can see clearly in the distance and up close. Without readers I can't even read a simple price tag. They are perfect. They are well made and I have them in different colors. I don't know if it is a scam that they adjust but for me they seem to do just that. I am buying more.
I agree! Definitely not adjustable readers. They are stylish and actually look really good. However, i could not see jack Sh** with them on. Therefore, RiteAid is getting a return.. thought of keeping the frames and just get prescription lenses . Because i do wear contacts for near sigthness. Thank you for review. They shouldn't come in a box so you can try them on before you buy

They're nothing but magnifying glasses in a nice frame!!
Thank you! I was seriously thinking about purchasing a pair. No way do I need 2.5 strength. Also, wouldn’t you say this company’s engaging in a bit of deceptive advertising?! I’m considering calling the BBB.

It was in the middle of the night when you buy everything you see on tv. Your review is what I needed to forget these glasses. Thanks!
The glasses adjust do not really in anyway. They are rather mostly with progressive power if at all real and the reader adjusts to look through the right spot on the glass to be able to read properly. No matter what they are not good for eyes. In course of time it makes you completely depended and get a state where cannot read without the glasses at all. I use glasses for myopia. Have a slight issue of presbyopia as well. But my doctor suggested not use reading glasses rather just remove the glasses and read plain which is much simple and safe. Worst case, bifocals are always better than progressive glasses which tend to give more strain to eyes
It is a literally one power glass-2.5. The thing is, anybody having an eye power less than 2.5 will read clearly through them. But problem is, if your power is 1 and you use 2.5 glass for some time, your eyes get adjusted to 2.5 and you will not be able to use power 1 glass.
Not only are One Power Readers a scam but so are those name-brand reading glasses you found in the drug store. There is no need to spend $27.95 or $24.95 or even $19.95 for reading glasses. You can go to any dollar store, such as 99 Cents Only, Dollar Tree, or Dollar General and get reading glasses for a buck a pair. True, they won't have flex hinges or designer frames, but they will provide identical visual correction as the more expensive models.

Hi there new friend. I like your Gators Sweat top you got on. I used to live in Jacksonville Fl. Lets stay connected. lol they not trying to become YT starts. Nice video.
I asked my ophthalmologist about using stronger glasses than actually needed, and she said that's not a problem at all, it won't weaken your eyes as you said. That's a myth in our culture, not the truth.
I think it would be best for a person to go to a store that has multiple power strength reading glasses and try out which ones would be the best for you then you know what power to buy.
Hi Jeff: You stated taht you wanted to see if these were scams or real. You did not wear them to read and let us know if you could read what you could not without your REAL glasses. I asked my ophthalmologist about using stronger glasses than actually needed, and she said that's not a problem at all, it won't weaken your eyes as you said. That's a myth in our culture, not the truth.
It isn't a problem but if you use stronger glasses for a longer time you are going to get a headache.
No, you will not get a headache. The well focused reading material will just be closer to your eye.
I think it would be best for a person to go to a store that has multiple power strength reading glasses and try out which ones would be the best for you then you know what power to buy.
Hi Jeff:
You stated taht you wanted to see if these were scams or real. You did not wear them to read and let us know if you could read what you could not without your REAL glasses. So, please let us know, if you could read any item label you picked up if you could not without your prescription glasses. Kind Regards
Without seeing your video, I just bought it Bro... For 6.9$ in India... Is that worthy for 6.9$?
