    That was my grand uncle , I know he’s resting well now but I’m glad other get to enjoy one of the men I got to look up to and admire for his heart and his love of his homeland

      I'm very sorry for your loss. I spent many years at highland games both listening to him play and partying with him and MacKenzie (what a hilarious duo). He was a wonderful person and a very talented man.

    Because Alex Beaton is Scottish, born in Glasgow. I have seen him perform many times.

    I consider this one on the most songs with lyrics so lovely and warm. The accompanying pictures are however not connected to what I am hearing. A song about love without being able to see living creatures? OK for a now but .....

      glad you enjoyed this lovely song but it was written by the nineteenth century Burnley poet Henry Nutter, turned into song by Gerry Kearns(of the Oldham Tinkers).
