Hello guys! Here is the second part where I am going to see the beautiful Antonov-225, Mriya from inside. It has many of comparments and I was able to visit some secret places. Also I will make the cockpit review explaining standard instruments. The Antonov Chief pilot Dmitriy Antonov was my supervisor. He helped me a lot reviewing that Gigantic airplane. Yes my friends, Mriya is the Largest airplane in the world and it was build here in Ukraine. The Antonov base airport is very near to my hometown, so I am happy to visit that place.
I hope you enjoy that video.

Also my regards to Volodymir Vasilyev and his "Pilot Notes" channel.
He shared the Drone Photage that you may see in the video.

And of course many thanks to Antonov Airlines and their Press department they let me film that airplane despite my channel size.

It really makes me sad to know this airplane was destroyed in a matter of seconds after decades of care and love from her crew. I was extremely fortunate to have been able to tour this airplane inside and out when I used to work as an aircraft mechanic at JFK Airport around 2003. I was working at the cargo ramp one day when I happened to see this aircraft parked so I walked up and asked the ground crew if I could take a look around. The plane was empty but they were all busy and one of the crewmembers said I could go to the cockpit and the crew quarters in the rear if I wanted. I knew I was extremely lucky to be allowed to give myself a tour of this aircraft and will always be grateful for that experience 🙏 ❤.

Two years ago, I had a chance to see this aircraft land at Montreal Mirabel, carrying medical supplies to support local hospitals during the pandemic. Despite all the doom and gloom that was going on then, it was still the best moment of my life.
There's so many things that come to my mind about questions about the unique features of this plane. Been thinking this for a while but I have these questions, hope you see this:
I see that the whole horizontal stabilizer is fixed to the fuselage. Normally, on other aircraft, the horizontal stabilizer is movable, with a jackscrew controlling the trim angle. With this fixed stabilizer, how is the trim angle controlled? Are the elevators and trim combined into a single system (i.e. the elevator deflection angle being dependent on the trim setting), or are there trim tabs on the elevators themselves?
If there's a trim tank in the elevator, can the fuel be transferred between it and the wing tanks, similar to how it's done on Airbus aircraft?
Is the whole cargo compartment pressurized? Can the flight crew go downstairs and access the cargo compartment during flight? Since the rear upper deck is detached from the cockpit section by the central fuel tank, how do the crew in the rear compartment access the cockpit area during flight?
Was the Buran orbiter capable of being released in flight, similar to how the American Space Shuttle Enterprise was released from the 747 for flight testing? Were the Buran-related systems still present in the aircraft (as of its last flight) or were they removed after the Buran was cancelled?

Such an awesome piece of engineering, even 40 years after it´s creation! Not just for being biggest cargo air transporter ever made but for the complexity of strutcture, for tell us, by components and architecture, a unic moment of aviation development. Furthermore, was a living witness of history, decaying along with the system that created it and rising to a different world, rising from the ashes like the very people who made it! Deserved to retire to a museum for the amusement of many future generations but, sadly...
There remain the Ruslans, minor brothers but also incredible, as living reminders that this giant once flew across the world! Greetings from Brasília, Brasil!

What a great video, Denis, I always wondered what could Mriya look like inside! This was a great idea to explain in advance what we will see next so I could pay more attention to the minute details and understanding what's what. (I am really sorry to learn that my previous comment has hit a sweet spot about quality... Time constrains explain a lot! And for this one, the _inside walk-around_ the magic of unreachable realm overwrote everything! I apologize-but, you know, I am a photographer, I see the pictures first :D )
So, a Huge Thank You (і велике спасибі теж) for this exceptional presentation! I am looking forward for the next one about Mriya's history!
One question: a little bit aft from the door there are two probes looking like Pitot-tubes. Below them there are two flag-shaped "things"-are they the angle-of-attack sensors? Are they doubled for redundancy or are they something completely different things?

I hope this video will gain more likes than about a spinner in jet engine :) Great video! Now all of us know Meiya from nose to tail. Also, I want to point graphics inside a video with compartment explanation, it looks very nice!
