Remember Billy if you caught a cab to anywhere in Liverpool you give the Name of a PUB and the black cab drivers automatically knew.."The Scouse Knowledge",...Private hire would be f*cked nowadays. Can't get them on your GPS Mo. heh heh great vid Sir.
1. It's not going to be a mosque 2. Pubs like the monz etc are dying because mo one really uses them anymore. - homes are rammed with technology. Beer and spirits are cheap as fuck In Tesco. - I prefer to go out and do. But the majority don't. So pubs are closing.
pubs are closing, cos people don't go in them anymore, nothing to do with Muslims. I've heard the same crap about pubs becoming mosques for over 20 years, it's a load of shite that the right use to make people think that their beloved pub that they don't go in anymore cos its more expensive than wetherspoons is becoming a place of worship for people who despise alcohol. It's genuinely fucking embarrassing. Fuck Wetherspoons, go the Jawbone, Go the Albion, Go the lock and Quay. Support your local boozer and they won't go out of business, simple as that really. The overheads involved with running these gaffs is astronomical, especially if they're brewery tied, so even if they've got some people in them, doesn't mean they're not struglling.

Same all over the country if u can get to these buildings quick enough they could be repurposed as flats for the homeless etc but they get left and become so rundown it becomes cheaper to pull them down and build something new then it does to actually save them which is a crying shame because before to long all that will be left is pictures and videos of what they used to look like and in there place are the same style cheap to build blocks of flats that start falling apart 5 years after there finished if your lucky. Great job Billy on showing what the real Britain is like. I live in the East of England and we have 16 areas in the top 10% income wise and 32% in the bottom 10% some sitting side by side in the city and show's the huge disparity between the have's and the have nots although working there I always found the people with the least would offer the most to you and the affluent would barely speak to you.
That's mad how Souse John from Lithuania is virtually speaking proper scouse, the scouse accent is definitely infectuous, some of the people that I've hung around from the Midlands/Stoke/Nottingham would sometime get asked if they're scousers themselves, hahaha...
Love how you empathy for others, makes such a change to lot's of stuff like this that just treats homeless and people with addictions like trash. We're all only a few pay checks away from being on the street, people should remember that.

You were right on the Macbeth St Estate at the start of the video. Pity you didn't walk through there. Its spotless and the people keep their homes beautiful. The end of the vid was Christmas St estate and the same applies. That part of Stanley Road has been left to rot abd their has no money invested in the area but there are some hard working very decent people who live there too. We are not all drunks and wasters.
That lad at 1:25 used to get on my bus every morning. Either the 62 or the 81 im not so sure now. And he would sing the whole way. Remember just only rolling out of bed and having to listen to that rubbish 😂
Great vid Bill. I lived there for 20+ years but had to get out of there. I think it needs investment asap more than most places in Liverpool. So sad to see. Either the Council haven't got the funding or the Government have just washed their hands and forgotten about the place. Left to ruin.
There's nothing ruinous about it. As a Bootleonion I'm sure you remember the parks, open green spaces and the nice housing. They are all still there and new housing has been built.
when you were at the sweat box gym on brasenose road - if you'd turned back on to st johns road and turned left you'd have gotten to a bridge with stone steps leading up to millers bridge. if you took another left and walked maybe 100m you would be on the corner of baliol road and oriel road with bootle town hall right in front of you. on the corner is a building known as The Incwell which I believe was a post office or police station. Anyway this specific spot is famous for being the location of the world's first crime reconstruction film.

It was all busy down there in the 80s , Sayers day old shop on Stanley road , then the Smack hit & destroyed are homes & community's. Live away nowadays but still have family up there. Great days growing up. Breaks me heart Billy.
Lived in bootle all my life. The bottom half next to the docks is just so heavily industrialised. The top half of bootle next to Walton and in to litherland really isn’t so bad at all lots of nice housing and clean
Yay! At last. Someone who knows what Bootle is actually like. Yes, West Bootle is heavily industrialised because of its proximity to a docks which is still a working docks not a tourist attraction. There are plenty of areas that are really nice with fancy housing. Footage of an industrial estate, a closed shop with rotting hoardings, a subway, a railway bridge, a shopping trolley in the cut (which does get cleaned up by the local canoe club rom time to time) and a closed down pub is not representative of the Bootle I know and live in.
Not only Bootle Billy , everywhere , it’s run down because shops have closed over the years due to extortionate rent prices , that alongside the recession and little council funding hasn’t helped .
Was drivin down Stanley road last week and county and most if the shop on each road were closed down unless it was a take away both areas are finished county only gonna get worse when Everton leave to

We called that the TRI-AD Billy (the Pyramid) All our pubs getting closed deliberatly ,recking our English Culture. It's weird open + thriving one day...Next it's all boarded up (heard the same Billy about a Mosque)..Same with the MONS, walk past everyday open + thriving..next all boarded up, and same old story (Mosque)?? Remember Billy if you caught a cab to anywhere in Liverpool you give the Name of a PUB and the black cab drivers automatically knew.."The Scouse Knowledge",...Private hire would be f*cked nowadays. Can't get them on your GPS Mo. heh heh great vid Sir.
The Mons is gonna be a Costa Coffee lar apparently 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
1. It's not going to be a mosque
@@Theoriginalbigbrillo Yeah, I'd heard that too. Grim reality of the world we live in now, everything is becoming a Greggs or Costa Coffee. or a mosque if you believe GB News.
Billy I have nothing but pure respect for you mate!
You are literally showing the world the decay of Britain and you add humility and integrity and respect to all!
Wish you all the very best from out here in Thailand I don’t think we will come back to the UK we shall move around Asia! And watch from afar I lived in Surrey before very close to London and if I did come back I wouldn’t be going anywhere near my home city today!
My hometown is Uttoxeter and you can find RUclipsrs footage of the decay of that and obviously Burslem as that’s the home of my footy club Port Vale!
“Don’t vote , class war ! “ the Graffiti just sums up everything about this video, what’s the point in voting ? I cry about what has happened to my City 😢 Failed by everyone
All parties are bent these days. Use you're vote though, it's a waste to not use it.

@@DMWBN3 - Firstly is it an actual vote ? - we go to polling stations NOT voting stations. Secondly, if no one or very few people voted, they could not form a government as it requires general consent.

Thanks again for another great video. What you said at 12 minutes in is spot on, I tried to work with these ideas as a foundation but always struggled with the paper work. Met some real people who I still remember now. Keep it up.
It's so very sad to see our beautiful country turn into a 3rd world country. POLITICIAN'S TAKE NOTE.

Literally watch you every day on my tv lol what a nice genuine guy !! Got bare respect for you Billy well done on everything you have over come watched all your interviews and documentary 😊
Stanley road and Breck road have been in a state of disrepair since the 80s,
it's sad, they've been in that state for decades...
Agreed, left Queens Road L5. 37 years ago , it was rough but the people were solid and still had a community spirit 👍
From Belfast but lived in Bootle a while in the 70s. Pembroke road.
So you know that there are a lot of large Victorian houses around there. They are still there but they weren't shown.
Your boy Danny Christie got absolutely battered in BKFC. He was frightened and turned his back in retreat mode.

It’s devastating to see so many pubs and old workplaces smashed and derelict… The Royal looks like it was a fantastic building in its day..

Great video! Bill, not sure if you are aware but there is a massive influx of homelessness around Old Hall St and the adjacent streets- tents being put in the carpark bordering Kenny. The divide bw the worlds of the business district and the other end of the spectrum is huge! 😢

Yeah, unfortunately your old Bootle Village pub crawl is now one pub. The Jawbone.

Bootle strand just reminds me of james bulger 🕊️
Thr court house he showed, was where the crowds gathered when the 2 lads had the first hearing.

They're demolishing the Strand and doing it all up. It will be nice for the immigrants.
There's nothing ruinous about it. As a Bootleonion I'm sure you remember the parks, open green spaces and the nice housing. They are all still there and new housing has been built.
Wow that's changed from back in the day , sad to see what's happening to my your city, brilliant chanel billy
when you were at the sweat box gym on brasenose road - if you'd turned back on to st johns road and turned left you'd have gotten to a bridge with stone steps leading up to millers bridge. if you took another left and walked maybe 100m you would be on the corner of baliol road and oriel road with bootle town hall right in front of you. on the corner is a building known as The Incwell which I believe was a post office or police station. Anyway this specific spot is famous for being the location of the world's first crime reconstruction film.
Did you know they filmed an episode of ZCars in Wolsey street & Stanley Road in the 60s
