I've never been to Phuket and probably will never go, but for sure there are in nice clubs Bangkok however, the real stunners in Bangkok that are not pay for play aren't really looking for guys like you regardless of your age and how sweet you can talk (Bak wan = sweet mouth). Plus the drinks in those clubs aren't the cheapest either, probably more than that lady drink you quoted. Also you might want to dress better, collared shirt (no wife beater/jersey), some slacks/long pants and proper leather shoes. You might also want to shave your beard, most thai women tend not to like men with facial hair.
But you know it all bro....Mai Pen Rai Khrup = nevermind. Chok Dee Khrup = good luck
