  • Holy Fawn "Seer" from the full length Death Spells smarturl.it/hol...
    i am lost
    got turned around
can you tell i am not from this land?
i want to taste all the trees in you
keep me around i’ll be something worthwhile
keep me taught i will chew through the knots
make you rethink the day you found me
    i’m just lost
how come you’re so far away?
    with streams down your face
    what made you this way?
    can’t you escape?
how come you’re so far away?
    burn me down
    listening
    the moon sings soft
    cold breathing
    whispering
    burn me down

This album had me get through my long drives to work alone, pulling all nighters and feeling numb. One of my fav tracks. But this eyeball is bugging me out.

Seer is the real fucking deal you guys. Trust me, if you're not into doomy black metal / post rock riffs, I've spent too many hours listening to utter SHIT in this genre. This is the real fucking deal. It tops 97% of what's out there EASILY. Try to find "something similar to Holy Fawn". There's no such thing. We're here, we made it. This is the sound we were looking for since so many years.
    Thank you Holy Fawn.

I agree so fucking much with everything you just wrote. I can't count how many albums of post rock / doomy black metal (as you say) I've listened to because I was searching for a certain feel that none of those albums were approaching even a litte

The closest thing I can think of is some of the darker Sigur Ros records.

I get stoned and vibe to this album all the way through. Perfect music to wander through the trees too.

I couldnt agree more. I turned this album on when it was raining hard, really dark outide and got stoned on the porch. That was a spiritual experience.
I came to their show last night and havent stopped thinking about how great it was.

the chilling euphoria generated is near inexplicable for i am rather inclined to remain in it. How can his words be so deep? he kept them simple and barely tried to sing them. thats why theyre so receptable by an audient listener. I am provided space enough to engage the message. this song is truly a two way exchange

I will always remember the first time I heard this song. I was already vaguely familiar with Holy Fawn, but this song came on my Spotify and I remember almost skipping it, but I thought nah I'm gonna see it through.
And then that melodic guitar hit with the bands humming, it was instant goosebumps. Very rarely does a song stop me in my tracks, but at the moment it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. It sounds dumb but i could almost feel the pain and the love they were putting into the song, like they were sending soul signals directly into me. Such an amazing and humble band..

this song lingers between floating in a calming space and feeling existencial. I could just get lost in it for hours cause of how calm yet weirdly sad it makes me feel. it makes me feel things I rarely get from other songs, the instrumentals have a taste of hopefulness while the lyrics put you into a position where your body can't even be able to lift a finger. and when you are laying on the ground you feel oddly calm, it's similar to how death might feel, that moment when you know it's the end but you can't help but feel calm about it. this song might be excacly like that and that's why it feels so sad and makes me anxious yet calm at the same time, it is a beautiful song.
