- In this video I have explained about the availability set and availability zones in Azure, I have also explained about Fault domains and Update domains, Then I have demonstrated how to configure Availability set with two web servers and a basic load balancer.
Haven't we showcased here capability of Load Balancer which ensures that request goes only to machines for which it is getting the heart-beat. An ideal case of Availability Set demo is ----> We shut down VM1 from one of the fault domain but IT WILL STILL SHOW-UP FROM OTHER FAULT DOMAIN.
ITS A GREAT DEMO BUT I AM NOT SURE WHEN PLE SAY THEY UNDERSTOOD DIFFERENCE VIA THIS DEMO!!!!!
Now I can say I have a better understanding of Azure Availability Set. Thank you :)
can you use availability zone to protect azure managed disk from a datacenter failure?
Yes you can
It's great explanation I clearly understood the key differences between Availability set and availability zone Thank you so much, I am not sure how to create web servers in windows\Linux can you please share if you have any videos, your voice was breaking while talking about this so I could not get it.
@Sreenivasa thanks for the feedback, consider subscribing if you liked the video and share as well,
Regarding the web server can you elaborate what you actually want to do, I can help you with that as well
Can you tell, how to configure web servers? Is there any video you have done on that one??
@Nandhakumar, can you elaborate what you are looking for, I might be able to help
If av1 VM goes down, web server running on it goes down as well, so how would you prevent the failure of the web server. Shouldnt the Av2 VM replicate the web server that runs on AV2? to keep the web server active in case of one VM failure.
Hi Vinoth, thanks for watching the video, first of all, availability set is for avoiding a failure when you are running exactly same set of machine in a single datacentre.so of one machine goes down then the same content can be served by a different instance. Please elaborate on your question if this doesn't answer your query, I would be happy to help
Thanks for the explanation, I have one query, when I created the load balancer, both the VM had the same ip, I am not able to connect to them using putty, with the load balanced ip,which is not the case If i create a standalone cent os instance, using the load balanced ip, how do I connect to them I have seen you are getting the public ip at the end of the video for individual VM, but for me it only shows the load balanced url only, can you put a comment on that if possible
@Niranjan thanks for watching, please consider subscribing if you liked the video and share as well,
Regarding your concern you need to create inbound NAT rule, if you look the video fully you ll see how to configure one, you can use default port or custom port as well
Let me know if you need more help with this one
Great Learning
video quality worst upload onceagain bro
Nicely explained
Thanks mate
